The mission to make solar eclipses

Studying the outermost layer of the Sun is tricky business. Our host star is so bright, it can be difficult to see what’s going on at the surface. This episode, solar scientist Huw Morgan tells us about an upcoming mission called MESOM that will create artificial solar eclipses to help astronomers get a better look at the Sun.
