The Rays force Game 5 of the American League Division Series as they beat Justin Verlander and the Houston Astros 4-1 before another raucous crowd at Tropicana Field. Tommy Pham hit a home run in the 1st, part of a 3-run inning and the Rays would never trail. The defense shined as well as Ji-Man Choi made several good plays at 1st base, and the Rays nailed Jose Altuve at the plate on a perfect relay from Kevin Kiermaier to Willy Adames to Travis d'Arnaud in the 4th to keep the Astros off the board. The Rays would hit 4 home runs in all including ones by Brandon Lowe, Ji-Man Choi and Willy Adames to start the party in Tropicana Field. Tuesday will be Diego Castillo vs. Justin Verlander and the Rays will try to even the series.
