Spirit Crumbs

This episode is another one featuring some channeled messages that came through when I felt spirit near. Today's messages were about gathering inspiration and remembering what came naturally to us in childhood. The images that came through first were of a chipmunk coming out of its hole to find food. It is reminding us to come out of our incubation period and gather inspiration to nourish us throughout the winter. Many of you may have joined Threads, the new app by Meta. Lately, I've been getting so many messages about leaning into hope and faith. It's been a long few years and it seems like we've just been waiting for the other shoe to drop every time something good starts to happen. The energy that is coming through is very different though. Spirit has been reminding me in so many ways that we have so much support! One afternoon, I had a strong nudge from spirit to record myself channeling, something I've never really done before outside of readings. The message was about hope. We are coming into a time when it is safe to hope again, without disclaimers and naming all the ways it might not work out. Every time I talk about something I want, I always follow it by saying that I'll be okay if it doesn't happen. This message emphasized that because the possibility of it not working is implied, we don't need to put any energy into it. We can just hope. Period. I was also shown the difference between hope and wishful thinking. Wishful thinking is often us focusing on something that we know isn't possible, is based on ego, or that isn't in our best interest. It is allowing the mind to tell a story. Hope comes from the soul, and allows us to believe that we deserve the best even when our circumstances don't reflect that yet. Hope is a light in the dark that connect us to the universe. Well friends, I can't say that I'm sad to see Gemini season go! Emily and I both had a pretty rocky month. The Death & Rebirth card energy was very present for the second half of the season. Cancer season tends to bring us back into our shell, so at least we will have time to process it all. We won't get away with smooth sailing, but there is a lot of positive energy coming in with Cancer season and the summer solstice. Emily and I both shared themes along the spectrum between nostalgia for what was, and hope for what's to come! Nostalgia and what we find ourselves longing for can be a great starting point for setting intentions and goals. What is the essence of the relationships and moments you cherish most? A mid-month shake-up may feel like deja vu, but positive change is on the horizon! I am feeling more confident than I have saying that the past few months. I am leaning in to magic, romance and possibility as we approach the halfway point of the year. I've been thinking and hearing a lot about spring cleaning and rearranging for the past month. Last week, I had to empty out my kitchen, and having my things out of place really got me thinking about how I use my space. Since moving in here 6 years ago, it's always been more studio than apartment! Having all of my work surfaces in the "studio" (living room and dining room) covered in dishes suddenly made me feel limited in my creative energy. At the same time, I saw a post by Vaness Henry about the Human Design environments and I decided to revisit this topic. I knew that my own environment resonated, but hadn't really done much investigating. After opening up my books for readings again, and receiving a couple myself, a topic that has come to mind is the role of free will. Personally, I have a boundary with spirit that I don't want to tell anyone what choice to make in their lives, so I don't receive that information in readings. Instead, I am able to share what healing and growth is being asked of them, and sometimes what each potential could offer. In this episode, I share some examples of how this can show up in a client session. The most recent reading I received made me think about free will more than any other in the past. A potential situation came up that I could totally see happening, but I am pretty certain it's not something I would choose. However, I also know that I can only see it from the lens of my life today. And at the end of the day, if I still feel it isn't aligned, I can just choose differently! Often, we seek out readings and advice when we are not sure what to do, and are questioning what our intuition is already telling us. I've realized over time that I gravitate to readings when I am looking for validation to support what I already know. Decisions can cause us to get stuck in our heads. The second part of the episode is a discussion about the different vibrations and meanings of the words "decision" and "choice" that I've explored. Over the past week, I've heard the phrase "Ride the Wave" a few times, in different contexts. I talked in my last solo episode about how I often receive things in 3s when I'm meant to process or share the message. "Ride the wave" came up to encourage us to take advantage of positive movement, enjoying the high. We sometimes miss an opportunity or a window for action and it's a reminder to truly embrace the good times while they're here. On the other hand, sometimes waves can be choppy and we need to just go with it until things calm down. Either way, resistance is not the answer! We've been connecting with our true desires and learning more about ourselves over the past couple of months. Gemini season is asking us to pay attention to how things feel in our bodies and to trust our discernment. We may have a lot of energy and inspiration, but it's important to direct it towards a path that is sustainable. Taurus season was a very turbulent time for me, going between slow spring moments of comfort and wild eclipse energy catalyzing change. I feel like we're in a period of calm before rapid movement, giving us a moment to process what just happened. It's been a wild ride between attending the Sacred Spirit Retreat in BC, eclipse season, and Mercury retrograde! I am happy to be back to doing some solo episodes. This was originally two separate recordings but I decided to release them together. One of the things I wanted to share was that I did a healing energy session in person in the retreat and was so grateful to hear what everyone else experienced in real time. I am hosting my first Group Recharge & Sharing Circle healing energy session live on Zoom on May 24 at 7pm. We will hold space for each other and receive wisdom from what is shared. I would love to see you there! I've been reflecting a lot in the past few weeks about how the cycles I am completing now started a couple of years ago. This time around, I am sitting with the emotions and accepting things with more ease. Part of the shift I am experiencing is that I am able to be more vulnerable and share with people close to me for support. We don't often stop to recognize our own growth, so I'm trying my best to do that! In the second recording, I wanted to share some examples of how spirit crumbs come in 3s when there is a message I need to share or sit with for awhile. I had a few experiences where trees were removed from places I go to release. This made me realize that I am able to find peace within myself. Cows also came up as a symbol of feminine energy and stability, energies I am trying to embrace and embody. I love how spirit brings messages in unexpected ways to make sure we know to pay attention! I am feeling a strong resonance with the Taurus invitation to slow down and process. I don't know about you, but after Pisces season, we are over it! Emily and I are ready for the movement and inspiration of Aries season to kick in. The beginning of Aries season is the astrological new year, and we are also experiencing the new moon today, so we can set powerful intentions for the year to come. As Emily shares in the episode, Aries and the first house represent the energy of "I am" and the self. Think about who you want to be moving forward. The tarot cards for this month started in Pentacles, representing earth energy and financial security. We left off with the Emperor in Pisces season, and the focus on building foundations for your empire continues. It may not be on schedule, but I really wanted to get this episode to you while the full moon energy is still potent! On one of the first days of the month, I saw that there was an Instagram memory in my stories and decided to check it out. It was the story about how Spirit was nudging me to watch P.S. I Love You and a few other spirit crumbs that came along with the movie. The movie follows Holly as she processes grief, opens up to love again, and finds her creative passion. A year ago, I was feeling like I was ready to move forward in art and romance! I had taken a yearlong break from both and wasn't sure what the healing process would look like. I've just been following the spirit crumbs as they come. Seeing this memory come up made me reflect on how much has happened since then! I'm finally back with another solo episode for the first time since my birthday on January 4th! The Aquarius Season Cosmic Energy Report actually came out on the 2 year anniversary of Spirit Crumbs, so thank you for being part of this journey. I truly appreciate each and every one of you! My word for the year is "commitment" and this podcast is one of the most enjoyable ongoing projects I've ever taken on. My focus this year is on commitments to my creativity and joy, so I will be sharing how this unfolds throughout 2023! The first theme, circular time, was inspired by an excerpt from Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. In this passage, she talks about how Indigenous stories are not linear but rather circular stories that encompass both history and prophecy. This really resonated with me and brought my attention to all of the ways that wisdom is adapted by each generation while keeping the core essence intact. Related to this, a card from Colette Baron-Reid's Wisdom of the Oracle deck called 25 Round and Round speaks to the spiral nature of healing patterns. We may be annoyed when a pattern comes up multiple times, but we are constantly moving up a spiral and seeing it from a higher perspective. Our reactions and activation lessen over time as we integrate the lesson deeper into our being. I hope this resonates with you as we move through Aquarius season and the full moon in Leo encourages us to show up as our true selves to be seen more than ever! Aquarius season is an optimistic time to connect with your community! We are taking our goals and plans from Capricorn season and discovering how they can impact the collective. It is a great time for trying new things and asking questions. We will be checking in with ourselves regularly to make sure that our actions are aligned with our authentic self and the impact we want to have in the world. The 11th house, associated with friendship and wishes, is ruled by Aquarius and (along with the Page of Cups that I pulled) indicates that anything is possible if you can imagine it! We will be oscillating between dreaming big and having honest conversations with ourselves about what needs to be more balanced in our lives. In order for life to be sustainable, we need to connect with others and make sure that our lives are whole and inclusive of care for mind, body, and spirit. I am really optimistic about the energy of Aquarius season! This episode is the 2023 Cosmic Energy Report with Emily Barnard! I pulled a tarot card for each month of the year and Emily shared the astrology forecast. It's always fascinating to see how our insights align! At the beginning of the episode, I also talked about how this year is a 7 in numerology. I typically read this as an energy of rest, mysticism and personal growth, which I think we will be focused on throughout 2023. What I was picking up with this card was the energy of The Chariot which is all about focusing your energy for quick movement forward! We will be experiencing the duality of the number 7 as we move through and past our own limitations. Happy New Year! I'm finally back with a solo episode and it's my birthday! I am just coming back from a break for the holidays. Other than editing a podcast episode (obviously not my own!) one day, I actually took the break and was mostly offline! Family time, a snow storm and multiple power outages made it easy to rest and enjoy it. I love snow and being up north really added to the magic of the season! Sometimes, spirit places things literally right in front of us on our path! I have been asking my guides to help me move forward and choose a direction to nurture. When I was walking home the other day, I passed a banana-shaped toothbrush and an actual banana on the sidewalk. Seeing as bananas don't exactly grow on trees around here, this felt like a message! I went home and looked at my favourite plant book, Plant Witchery by Juliet Diaz, hoping to find a section on bananas - and I did! It turns out that her two main properties for this plant are abundance and creativity. I was so excited and amazed by how clear of a sign this was. I have been thinking constantly about my art practice, and also how to attract and receive. This is an ongoing battle (which I'm sure you're aware of if you've been listening for awhile) so I am now more determined than ever to make art a priority going into 2023. I'm ready for some Sagittarius energy after an extra challenging Scorpio season! I had a few patterns come up to be healed within and it was reflected externally as well. The transition between these signs has been nudging us to think about what we want to do, who we are, and what inspires us. Sagittarius season allows us to look at the big picture and take the leap! I've been hinting at a particular unfolding situation for a few weeks now, and I finally share some of the details in today's episode! This is a perfect example of how the energy reports and forecasts I share actually show up in my life. The cards, themes, and archetypes that I am shown by my guides are just as relevant to me as they are to the collective (any of you who listen!). Because this was happening during eclipse season, there was a huge potential for releasing patterns and leaping ahead in manifestation. You may remember that my main focus for Libra season was finding in person community and reciprocity. That brought up a lot of healing around receiving for me. In order to have reciprocity, I need to be able to receive. One of my patterns is equating my worth with work, and needing to work to justify why I deserve time to myself. Applying to collaborate on a gallery show with a friend led me to become a member at a community organization with connections to non-profits and the arts in my city. At the same time that I went to meet them, a job opportunity that aligned with my skills and goals came up! I'm back with a solo episode! I couldn't possibly cover everything I want to share in one episode, so I'm starting with something that Spirit brought to my attention a couple of weeks ago. I started thinking about the stages and tasks involved in cleaning a house and how they relate to going through a transformation. When you start cleaning, sometimes that causes dust to fly around. When the dust settles, you can see what actually needs to be cleaned. I've sat with this metaphor, and a rather controversial topic, until the energetic dust settled while I got still. It's been a couple of weeks since I recorded an episode, and it's been a rollercoaster! It feels like Scorpio season came early for me, and Emily has been feeling it too. I recorded this episode last night to share a few quick thoughts about my website launch and creating pathways to expand and receive. I was stuck on the About Me section on my website, and I was able to break through the blocks by reflecting on what came naturally to me as a child. Feeding chipmunks, collecting rocks, writing in my journal. I realized that most of what I love about my work now can be traced back to what I loved as a child. Sharing a few personal pieces of my story motivated me to push forward and finish my website! This is a way for me to receive and expand. In one place, people can find my art, services and podcast! The theme that I started with for this episode was being open. I've been taking a flower essence with that name to be more vulnerable and to make new connections. I had recorded an episode on this for the 100th episode, but it didn't feel like I had the whole message yet, and I was right! I have been enjoying my collaboration with Emily, and Danielle shared some other collaborations that have come from the Spirit School Collective this week. I am also planning some art collaborations with a friend in the near future! Libra season is already bringing out the best in my relationships. My brother's birthday celebration was the first time we did an escape room as a family and we worked together really well as a team! The location we visited brought me back to a time when I had a sense of belonging and purpose in my career. Waves of nostalgia and emotion have been coming over me as I made some realizations around this theme and also my search for community in recent months. Although I have a lot of online connections, I am really looking forward to doing more in person events and activities to feel more grounded. As adults, we have less natural opportunities to make friends, so we need to know what types of relationships we are seeking before we start looking for connections. So guess what? We made it to a hundred episodes of Spirit Crumbs! I can hardly believe it because it kind of feels like yesterday, but it's hard to remember the first episode because I just go week by week. I'm back with a regular episode! Today I am talking about a recent realization I had about the differentiation between consistency and inspired action. I've spent most of this year trying to find balance and return to my art practice. By shifting my mindset, I have been able to commit to my work in a more aligned and fulfilling way. The structure I have created between the Cosmic Energy Report, the newsletter and my Remote Recharge sessions, has given me more space to play in between! I hope that this discussion about finding your version of consistency will inspire you to make some progress toward your goals. This is the third and final episode about The War of Art: Break through the blocks and win your inner creative battles, a book by Steven Pressfield. The author has divided it into three books that have been guides for three episodes: Resistance: Defining the Enemy Combatting Resistance: Turning Pro Beyond Resistance: The Higher Realm In Book Three, Pressfield is talking about the divine and mysterious muse that brings creativity through us. His philosophy is that if we show up, so will the muse! Committing to a practice is not easy, but it creates space for inspiration and downloads. There may be days that you sit with your sketchbook or Word document and nothing worth keeping really happens, But after doing this for a few days, there may be a spark when you're walking the dog, or washing the dishes that you can use as a starting point for the next session! The universe wants to see us create and materialize the ideas that come to us. As humans, we have the unique ability to create. This is not a coincidence. No matter what the outlet is, we have a right and responsibility to channel our divine inspiration through it. There is an infinite amount of possibility when it comes to creativity, and how lucky are we to be the recipients? The last part of the book is focused on the fact that typical hierarchies in workplaces and institutions don't work for artists. There may be institutions like galleries and museums that require certain steps for artists to follow, but there is no clear pathway to success. Instead of hierarchies, Pressfield suggests that having your own territory, or niche, is the way to find fulfillment. If you are following inspiration without relying on external validation, you have a self-contained and sustainable system. You are meant to create your own specific work that others will will love because it is divinely inspired. What you are here to create and offer matters. To the divine, and to me! Emily and I are back for our monthly forecast! We are slowing down after the fire of Leo season to get grounded again. Virgo season is feeling like an opportunity to dock our boats and find solid ground before we officially let go of summer. We are feeling all the back to school vibes! This is the second of three episodes about The War of Art: Break through the blocks and win your inner creative battles, a book by Steven Pressfield. The author has divided it into three books that I will be using as guides for three episodes: Resistance: Defining the Enemy Combatting Resistance: Turning Pro Beyond Resistance: The Higher Realm In Book Two, Pressfield is mostly talking about the difference between the amateur and the professional. I specified in this episode that I view being a professional as claiming it as something you want to embody instead of narrowing it to only a full-time vocation. He talks about how you can approach a creative practice as you would a corporate job. You show up regularly, work hard, see the long-term goals, and don't just leave when you feel like it. Although I believe in a lot more flexibility, I can appreciate that he is mainly emphasizing the importance of prioritizing yourself. It will be uncomfortable, but so is anything worthwhile. I feel like consistency is relative. I consider 2-3 hours a week to be enough consistency for my art practice as I gradually shift back into it. If I was relying on it as my primary source of income, I would definitely make it a priority and dedicate a lot more time to it. I just keep spending time with my materials and being in relationship with them, trusting that inspiration will know where to find me! Remember that there is always room for improvement. This releases some of our expectations. As a professional, we know that process is the important part, so we are more open to feedback and help. An amateur feels that they know everything already and will take criticism more personally. I am definitely transitioning from some of the amateur traits into the pro! This is the first of three episodes about The War of Art: Break through the blocks and win your inner creative battles, a book by Steven Pressfield. The author has divided it into three books that I will be using as guides for three episodes: Resistance: Defining the Enemy Combatting Resistance: Turning Pro Beyond Resistance: The Higher Realm In Book One, the concept of resistance is introduced as an agent of self sabotage that lives within us. It points us in the direction of our calling. The resistance is proportionate to how important something is on our path. One of my biggest fears is not fulfilling what I am meant to in this lifetime, what Pressfield refers to as the "unlived life." We can choose at any point to change direction and take the first step. Often, getting started is what holds us back! The more we defer to resistance, the more likely we are to find ourselves distracted and indulging in unhealthy behaviour to avoid acknowledging our calling. People who feel unsafe with the freedom of pursuing their creative endeavors sometimes turn to more controlling ideologies like fundamentalism. There is a middle ground where we can co-create with the divine for the benefit of the collective. I appreciated the part of the book where he spoke about how productive practices like healing and taking workshops can sometimes delay our calling. We need to ask ourselves if these things are moving us forward or keeping us stagnant. The final point is that each of us is here because of birth. It seems impossible, and yet here we are! Expectations and the Spectrum from Disappointment to Fulfillment I have been disappointed in myself many times when I failed to make it out to a cafe patio downtown to read when I've intended to. I finally made it there last week and channeled a whole download about disappointment when I got home! I was drawn to look in the dictionary and thesaurus for clear definitions and an understanding of what it means. In doing so, I learned that the opposite of disappointment is fulfillment, or being pleased. In the dictionary, there was a separate meaning to "fulfill" and "please" oneself. This distinction was profound to me. Our responsibility to ourselves does not depend on the fulfillment of others. I talk about how expectations and assumptions are the source for a lot of disappointment. Clarity and communication are the key to avoiding unnecessary pain. You can go back to my episode on The Four Agreements if you want to revisit some of these themes in more depth! Ultimately, checking in with yourself about whether it is a capacity issue or a priority issue can help to determine why you are disappointing yourself or others. In relationships, if you feel that you have showed up to your capacity, then it may be that the other person has not communicated their expectations or that there is an incompatibility. Overall, I want to remind you that you can always try again. Disappointment is a sign that there is something you hope to achieve and can show you what is important to you. Having realistic expectations leaves space for you to be delightfully surprised when they are surpassed! Emily and I decided to combine our monthly forecasts and Leo felt like the perfect season to spark this project! Emily will be talking about astrology and I will continue sharing tarot and energy messages for each astrological season. Emily and I will also choose movies that suit the energy, or that people with this sign would enjoy. It was so fun to see how our forecasts and movies overlapped! The topic of titration has been circling around in my brain for the past few weeks. When my nurse practitioner used the term regarding my ADHD medication, it stuck in my head. I knew I would receive more context around it, and I sure did! Titration is the process of finding the right dosage of a medication for your body. You start out with a low dose to see how you react to it, and gradually increase it if you do not achieve the desired effect. There are times that we are experiencing symptoms and need to change parts of our lives to determine what is causing them. When we are trying a new medication, monitoring side effects over a period of time allows you to see if your body adjusts to it or if it is not the right medication/dose. Feeling stagnation, discomfort or pain can also be a sign that something in your life needs to change. You may be unfulfilled or uninspired by your work, relationships or hobbies. You can implement a titration process by gradually adding or removing activities or people. Start doing a sketch a day, or taking one client a week. Starting with the maximum dose or going cold turkey can shock our systems and drive us back to our comfort zone instead of moving toward our desires. Titration is a way to test the waters and decide for yourself how much of an increase you can handle at each step. What are you trying to add to your life? It seems like everywhere I look and listen, there are messages about rest. There is power in rest because it allows us to remove ourselves from the systems and structures that are trying to keep us too busy so we aren't pushing back. For Card Pull Friday on my @concreteandcrystals Instagram, I have been keeping the themes of Time Out and Emotional Sensitivity for most of Cancer season. This is very aligned with the message that rest is urgent at this time. In today's episode, I talk about sitting in stillness to determine what type of rest is best for you personally. You may be someone who finds movement restful. Meditation might be calling to you. It may even be time to connect with people that bring you joy! With the fire energy of Leo season around the corner, the urgency of the moment is to make sure you are engaging in rest that truly fills you up so you can show up the way you desire! Rest is an active force. The full moon in Capricorn tomorrow, July 13, is bringing huge opportunities for energetic upgrades and restructuring in our lives. This week's episode is a compilation of a couple of clips. I have been processing a lot of what is going on in the world and allowing myself to experience the emotions that are coming up. I had stayed off of social media until after Card Pull Friday and didn't realize how relevant the messages would be for this weekend. I decided to share that 4-minute clip today as the messages were aligned with Cancer energy and today is the new moon for the season. I wanted to pause instead of recording a regular episode, and I found myself thinking about guided meditations. It inspired me to find one that I made in late 2020 to share with you. This week, there is a full moon in Sagittarius and we are close to summer solstice! I feel like these energies are present in the spirit crumbs I received leading up to this episode. Last year, Leo and lion energy were powerful for solstice. Themes of being seen, confidence and creativity were telling us to shine! It feels like we are experiencing a bit of the shadow side to offer growth this year. Loyalty and pride are associated with the lion and we are being asked to look at whether we are allowing our pride to keep us from seeking support to break our patterns. How can we be loyal to ourselves and own what is no longer working? Instead of spinning our wheels in frustration, we can pinpoint where the cycle can be interrupted long enough to find a new direction. The metaphor of a backpack is what brought me to this episode. We come into this life with a backpack of gifts and challenges. Then we carry it with us into all aspects of our lives. After awhile, it is helpful to empty it out and repack. What is taking up too much space or weighing you down? What just needs to be refolded? What have you realized you need more of going forward? Sometimes, we do need to pool our resources with others in our community but other times, we need to find other supports. You can only carry so much. Sometimes I see something random and just know I need to pay attention to it. Even when it is something that normally wouldn't get my attention - like a video of Justin Bieber solving a Rubik's cube on Carpool Karaoke! Once it came into my awareness, I started seeing them in every show I watched and decided to make an episode about them and how I can apply solving it to life. I feel like there will be more to come, but I could see how algorithms and knowing when to take shortcuts were lessons to take from the Rubik's cube. I could see how my career in merchandising had parallels in problem solving and how one move can impact the whole. I am sure we all have these life puzzles that these themes can relate to! Today's episode is a little bit more philosophical in nature, and it has been naturally unfolding over the last few days. I allowed myself to rest instead of forcing myself to be creative on my Thursday off and it allowed me to receive some valuable insights for this part of my journey as I transition into my artist role. You know when you hear something many times and it just takes one specific time for it to click? I think about time and how we only have the present moment pretty often. I've heard it a number of different ways. But, hearing it described as us being still in the present and time moving through us really resonated. I was gifted a visual of time and our perception of life being like a slide projector or a movie at a theater. Awareness and trust are at the center of our experience of this life. The more we trust the story to unfold the way it is meant to, the more it plays like a continuous film instead of slowly clicking through each frame. Part of what causes us to pause for far too long is the fear of starting something new as a beginner. We get used to the respect and level of expertise we have in our comfort zone, but our soul longs for us to stretch into something bigger. We aren't supposed to be good at things when we start and there is magic to bringing our unique imprint to each new endeavor. The full moon eclipse last week was in Scorpio and I pulled the Scorpio card today along with the frog, indicating a time to dive into our emotions and rest to allow inner transformation to surface. I have been noticing subtle but major shifts in myself as I'm holding better boundaries around my time and energy. The solar plexus, third eye and crown chakras have been prominent in my readings as inspiration and confidence are moving us forward! I kept feeling the need to delay recording and more insights came as I sat with the topic. I started rereading Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer a couple of weeks ago and on the night I had planned to record the episode, I picked up the book instead. In it, she has a whole chapter inspired by the same observation - why do purple asters and goldenrod bloom together? Just like the author, I am always trying to make connections between nature and art; science and spirituality. The unfolding of this episode was the perfect example of how this happens! 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 I had planned to talk about worthiness, but had a lot of spirit crumbs come through when I followed through with taking Thursday just for myself! The new moon eclipse in Taurus felt amplified with the earth energy I've been exploring this week too. Taking time for myself is still related to worthiness because it's taken me a long time to feel that it is worth my time to do what I love! I finally listened to my body and took the time to slow down. In this episode, I talked about how I went for a long walk and was feeling pulled to the wildflowers along the way. I had plant consciousness and flower essences come up a lot throughout the day. These are things that have been in my awareness for awhile and it feels like now is the time to align with them! I signed up for a course to help me focus on channeling plant consciousness and receiving messages directly from the trees I've been working with recently. I looked up the qualities of the flower essences of the flowers in my neighbourhood and was amazed at how aligned they are with my focus the past few weeks! They made me realize that the meanings of my name and middle name are a balance between masculine and feminine energy, much like the violet. This week's episode is related to the topic of overwhelm from last week. I am talking today about different technologies and systems I've implemented to help me stay focused throughout the day! Do you find yourself getting to the end of the day feeling exhausted and also realizing that you didn't accomplish much despite being really busy? Like a lot of you, I am often trying to do more than one thing at a time while also being distracted by messages and notifications that feel urgent. This cycle increases my anxiety and I realized that I needed to create some simple structures to feel more in control of my time. I talked about: - having notebooks/pads in every room to write tasks that come to mind - using wireless headphones with ambient music for walks and getting organized in the morning - getting a wireless keyboard and mouse to be more comfortable working - my colour coded whiteboard calendar - using a Pomodoro timer app to take regular breaks - taking walks every day - scheduling rest days into my week

𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗱𝘆 Today is a super rare conjunction between Neptune and Jupiter in Pisces, a major opportunity for expansion and mindset shifts. I'm not an astrologer, but I have been feeling this energy! I taught a class called Manifesting with Synchronicity yesterday in the Spirit School Collective and will be teaching it again for anyone who wants to register and join. It was so fun and brought the group synchronicity and healing messages. I talked in this episode about how sometimes we stop ourselves from trying something based on someone else's review, experience or forecast of what an opportunity will be like. What is true for one person is not necessarily your reality. I explained how this concept was brought back to my attention. I've been releasing a lot of trapped overwhelm with an Emotion Code practitioner and most of it has been absorbed from others. I have been working on finding more practices and tools to increase my focus and productivity but I realized that the overwhelm has been preventing me from feeling calm enough in my body to be still. I have noticed a big shift from implementing some small changes and am looking forward to what will unfold! Next week, I will share more about what I have been learning and implementing on this journey to more clarity and ease around keeping focused.
