Infamous for spending years completing a film, Bollywood’s ‘perfectionist’ Aamir Khan has confirmed that his next film will release in December 2024. The veteran actor was last seen in the Forrest Gump remake L gaal Singh Chaddha in 2022. Details regarding the actor’s upcoming film have been kept under wraps. However, it has been revealed that the film will be released on the 20th of December, 2024, and it will clash with Akshay Kumar’s Welcome To The Jungle – the third film in the Welcome franchise. Co-incidentally, another Aamir Khan film, Taare Zameen Par, locked horns at the box office with the first Welcome film in 2007.

Due to the ongoing strike by SAG-AFTRA, the release of Jeff Nichols' film The Bikeriders, featuring Tom Hardy, Austin Butler, and Killing Eve star Jodie Comer, has been delayed. Originally scheduled for a December release this year, New Regency Productions has decided to postpone it. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, there is still hope that the movie's release will be pushed for the awards season next year. The Bikeriders is based on the 1968 book of black-and-white photographs by Danny Lyon, which captures authentic biker portraits. The film immerses viewers in the lives of the Vandals, a fictional biker gang in 1965 Chicago, and the extended cast includes Michael Shannon, Boyd Holbrook, and Norman Reedus. The movie is a collaboration between Regency Enterprises, Tri-State Pictures, and 20th Century Studios, with Sarah Green, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Arnon Milchan as the producers

Karan Johar confirmed that several Bollywood stars, including Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Ananya Panday among others are expected to guest star in the popular talk show in the teaser of the upcoming season of his talk show Koffee with Karan. According to new reports, veteran Bollywood stars Neetu Kapoor and Zeenat Aman will also be appearing on the show. The legendary actresses have previously worked together in films such as Dharam Veer and The Great Gambler and will now share the ‘coffee couch’ in the eighth edition of the popular talk show. Koffee with Karan is available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar and season 8 will premiere on October 26.

Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s highly-anticipated action thriller series Indian Police Force has postponed its release. The TV series, starring Siddharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, and Shilpa Shetty, was originally scheduled to release on Amazon Prime Video during Diwali 2023. However, the series has been delayed to avoid clashing with the ongoing Cricket World Cup. According to reports, a new release date for Shetty’s digital debut will be announced next week.

Decorated American actor Tony Shalhoub, who recently played a prominent role in the multiple award-winning Prime Video series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, is reprising his most iconic role for an upcoming film. Shalhoub will play the role of Adrian Monk yet again for the spin-off film to the hit mystery comedy series Monk. The highly-anticipated feature film is titled Mr Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie and it will follow the brilliant detective Monk, who suffers from severe OCD, on his final case. The film will be set 14 years following the events of the series finale and it involves a case surrounding Monk’s stepdaughter Molly. Mr Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie will release on Peacock on December 8 and it is expected to subsequently release on Jio Cinema in India.

Jasmeet K Reen, who is best known for helming the Alia Bhatt dark comedy Darlings, has announced her next. Reen will take on the responsibility of directing a biopic on the iconic Indian actress Madhubala. Reen will also serve as the film’s writer, and the makers are currently in the process of finding the right actress to slip into Madhubala’s role. Going by the star’s fandom across the country, doing any justice to the role would require tremendous talent and any actress who rises to the challenge will have big shoes to fill. The film is set to begin production in 2024 and it will be produced by Madhubala Ventures Private Limited and Madhubala’s youngest sister, Madhur Brij Bhushan.

The highly-anticipated film adaptation of Ramayana helmed by Nitesh Tiwari is set to commence production in February 2024 according to reports. Real-life couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were initially rumoured to play Ram and Sita in the film, however, Bhatt reportedly dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. Premam and Gargi star Sai Pallavi will now play Sita, while KGF star Yash will essay the role of Raavan. The film is expected to be part of a trilogy of films, but further information about the film has been kept under wraps.

It was earlier reported that renowned horror filmmaker Eli Roth is helming a new horror slasher titled Thanksgiving. The film stars Patrick Dempsey, Milo Manheim, Addison Rae, Rick Hoffman, and Gina Gershon in prominent roles. The plot is set in the small town of Plymouth, Massachusetts where the American Thanksgiving holiday is celebrated with great fervour by its residents. However, the festivities take a dark turn when an axe-wielding killer turns up to wreak havoc. The first-look images of the film’s main antagonist were recently revealed on social media. Thanksgiving will hit theatres on November 17.
