How aware are you of your emotions around sex?
This week, I talk about the emotional rollercoaster that relationships, dating, and sexual situations can provoke on us. I'll approach this issue from the Internal Family Systems model, which will help you better understand why you feel the way you feel about sex, intimacy, and personal relationships in general.
What You'll Learn:
- How managing your emotions can help you improve as a sexual being
- What your emotions are telling you about how you feel about sex
- What your self-energy is and how you can tap into it
- Manager, firefighter, and exile parts, and their job in Internal Family Systems
- Why it’s so important to recognize and be aware of your protective parts
- Why it seems so hard to get out of your head and process your feelings
Being comfortable with and aware of how sex makes you feel is an excellent self-confidence builder. It will also enhance your sexual experiences, because as you learn to process your feelings physically, your anxiety levels will go down and you'll get more and more out of your head and into your body during sex.
