Show Notes

Welcome to the Ask a Sex Therapist Podcast! This podcast will help you change how you look at sex.

I'm Heather Shannon, a Certified Sex Therapist, Holistic Health Coach, and a Shambala meditation guide. I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling, but most of my knowledge and expertise comes from my lived experience, personal exploration, and constant seeking of knowledge.

On this show, you can expect raw truth about pleasure and intimacy, how to enjoy your body and how to let go of any trauma, shame or stigma you might have about your sexuality, sexual expression or how you enjoy sex.

If you are exploring non-monogamy, BDSM or kink, or feel that something might be wrong with your sexuality or that it is not as exciting as it used to be, then this show is perfect for you. It is also a space that celebrates diversity, a space that embraces all sizes, shapes, abilities, disabilities, races, religions, ages, sexual orientations, gender identities and relationship structures.  But this show is also for vanilla folks, sex workers, and those who might have judgment around sex or sexuality.

Ask a Sex Therapist is not about being woke or cancel culture; it is a safe space where we respect each other's autonomy and personhood and learn from those who are different.

Hop on and join me every week to remove the shame, conditioning and stigma around sex, and become a more conscious relationship partner.
