The Australian Indian community has assisted in repatriating the body of Deepinderjeet Singh, who tragically drowned following an alleged robbery at Franklin Wharf in Hobart. - ਤਸਮਾਨੀਆ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਬਾਰਟ ਵਾਟਰਫਰੰਟ 'ਤੇ 27 ਸਾਲਾ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਦੀਪਇੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਲਈ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਦੋ 17 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਚਾਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਲੁੱਟ-ਖੋਹ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਦਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ 'ਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਕਿਸ਼ੋਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਤਲ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਆਇਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਦੀਪਇੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਹੱਸਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਗ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਹੈ।
