Ep 86We Obviously Have A Sponsor - who is @RavishlyDotCom - With Evan Morgenstern @EvanJm02
We obviously have a sponsor. The name of our sponsor is @RavishlyDotCom The reason we are talking about this SO much is that we are extremely excited. We would also like to thank Aura Bishop, Director of Promotions, for our podcast. In this episode, I call Lens Crafters and ask them to sponsor them. They don't know a lot of things. But they tell us that I can get glasses in an hour, they have lab coats and a lab and Luxottica owns it. Also, they do not carry my favorite brand of glasses called Legre. Does that sound French? Follow Evan @Evanjm02. I am afraid that Darren is sad that he has not been a guest on our podcast. But we need to get him on and spur the success of that podcast - The Virgin Chronicles.

Ep 60It's Not Your Journey- With Rebecca Lombardo
In the summer of 2013, Rebecca faced one of the biggest struggles of her life. After losing both her mom to lung cancer in 2008, and her brother to an accident (on her birthday) in 2011, she felt as if she was drowning. Her physical health continued to deteriorate, and the migraines that were once just a nuisance became a constant. They would sometimes last 6-7 days at a time and were cause for countless trips to the emergency room. Trying to pick up the pieces of her life after her mother’s death, she attempted to work a couple of retail positions, but found that she was just unable to work due to her condition. Her depression was just too much to take and she fell apart. She knew there was no way she was going to come back on her own this time. She attempted to take her life and was hospitalized against her will in a horrible place. Rebecca was released the first week in July. Her PTSD, anxiety, depression, and grief were overwhelming, so she decided to begin writing again. When the words began to flow easier and easier, she decided that she would be willing to turn it into a blog. She hoped others could see her struggle and know that it’s a vicious cycle, but it can be overcome. She desperately wanted it to help her get past all the trauma of these experiences. As her writing went on, she would receive more and more feedback from total strangers, sometimes in other countries, that would thank her for telling her story. They were grateful that because of her, they were now able to get help. On August 23, 2015, It’s Not Your Journey was released on Amazon.com. Feeling accomplished and proud, Rebecca now hopes to go on and help an even broader audience. Rebecca is now an advocate for mental health, a blogger for the Huffington Post and a podcast host. She will celebrate 15 years of an incredibly happy marriage on August 3, 2016 Follow her on Twitter @BekaLombardo http://www.rebeccalombardo.com/

Ep 40What Not to Say About Mental Illness and Cartoon Analysis - With Aaron Smith
From Aaron: My name is Aaron J. Smith (aka CulturalSavage). I am in my thirties, a father, a writer, Jesus obsessed, a dreamer, and kind of a mess. I spent most of my 20’s focusing on church activities and doing things I loved to do: helping people think better about Jesus, the Bible, faith, and church. At some point, I got burned out, cynical, and began to question if the way we do church really makes sense. Now I’m kind of in a weird post-evangelical spiritual wilderness where I’m dissatisfied with the church but hungry for God. When I was 28, I was diagnosed Bipolar 2. I write about what a life with a mental illness looks like. I’m an advocate for removing the stigma of mental health. I’ve been featured on HuffPost live to talk about living with a mental illness and spoke in 2014 and 2015 at the Shattering Stigma conference. I’ve been blogging for 10 years or so and am in the process of writing my first full-length book. I currently am featured in Father Factor, StigmaFighters Anthology (Volume 1), and was a staff writer for Bedlam Magazine. I am also a contributor to The Good Men Project. Follow him @CulturalSavage on Twitter.
