In this conversation I talk to a truly international man, the legendary Kevin Murphy. He is the creator of the Kevin Murphy range of products (we all know those square and rectangle bottles) and an award winning session stylist. I'm happy to admit I was a bit nervous even though I have chatted with Kevin more than once over the years. He is such a lovely man with a fascinating journey and we could have talked for hours... His work has graced the covers of all the major global print publications, and he has directed hair teams for countless high profile fashion houses. Having trained at Vidal Sassoon in London, Kevin returned to Australia to establish himself as one of the country’s most sought-after stylists. As a regular contributor to Australian Vogue he carved his niche within the industry as the go-to guy for the iconic ‘Beach Hair’ look, and in 2007, was awarded the Australian Masters Award at the AHFAS for his outstanding contributions to the profile of Australian Hairdressing worldwide.
