Alright this needs a little more written introduction then usual 1 - Thanks to Professor lady - always a great and insightful guest 2 - I’m interested in any and all alternative perspectives on anything. 3 - I’m hearing more stories of people personally affected by the virus. Yet, I still have no trust for the news or understanding on what is the true scale of this thing or if we’ve taken our response way to far. On the other side, people I respect are taking it seriously. Doctors are warning us this is the real deal. Also, if you recall, we had Sam Parker who gave us the warning on how big Caronavirus was going to be while the Caronavirus was still mostly just in Wuhan. (I believe my timeline is right there and have repeatedly said this topic is beyond what I can make a call on) 4 - After the episode I had this thought on alternative medicine - there’s a placebo effect to real medicine. For some people, what they believe is going to affect their body. If you buy into the healing power of alternative medicine, well then it works for you and those people are offering a service. Even if they are being dishonest, and I’m not saying that is the case here, it can be argued that they are offering a legitimate service. It will heal some. Flaw there is if traditional medicine would have worked better and they pursued alternative options instead. 5 - To me, this somewhat falls into the category of the earth is flat and we never went to the moon. It’s kind of beyond what I can evaluate and what I’m going to pour a lot of time into researching. The idea that viruses aren’t as we understand them certainly is plausible. I didn’t pay much attention in school. Lies or misunderstandings of this magnitude seem weird to me but certainly are possible.
