Ep 3335 | Beyond the Scale: Why Weight Loss Isn't Enough
You’ve been living with a certain mindset for a long time—the belief that once you lose weight, then you’ll finally feel good about yourself. That hitting a certain number on the scale will make you beautiful, confident, free, and happy. It’s easy to believe that losing weight is what will bring us true joy and satisfaction because that’s what the world tells us. From media and ads to clothing stores and influencers, we’re told that happiness comes when we’re thinner. That life will be better once we fit into our pre-pregnancy jeans or look like that fitness influencer on Instagram. But here’s the truth: none of those things will bring lasting joy. Real freedom, confidence, and contentment won’t come from your body changing. They come from Jesus. Not just knowing Him—but fully surrendering your health journey to Him and rooting your worth, identity, and satisfaction in who He says you are. If you’ve been chasing the number on the scale and still feel empty, this episode will help you shift your mindset and start finding true peace—not in your progress, but in God’s presence. Ep 3032 | God's Faithfulness: The Key to Lasting Transformation in Your Fitness
Have you ever felt like your fitness journey is more about proving yourself than honoring God? Maybe you catch yourself obsessing over the way you look, striving to hit new goals just to feel accomplished, or even comparing yourself to other women in the gym. It’s so easy to slip into that mindset—because that’s what the world tells us fitness is all about. But what if I told you that your workouts were never meant to be about you? What if the pressure to measure up is actually keeping you from the freedom God wants for you? In today’s episode, we’re breaking down how to shift from a self-focused fitness mindset to one that’s truly centered on God—so you can stop chasing external validation and start embracing the internal transformation He wants to do in you first. Like the second you commit to doing things differently, doubt, frustration, and setbacks come out of nowhere? That’s not a coincidence. The enemy doesn’t want you to find freedom. Ep 2729 | How to Embrace Your God-Given Strength When You Feel Inadequate
Has God ever called you to something specific, something that you can’t deny is a divine appointment, and you feel absolutely inadequate to accomplish it? You find yourself asking God, “Are you sure?” “Do you have the right person because there’s no way I can do that!” We’ve all struggled with these feelings of inadequacy at some point in our lives. We want to pursue God’s calling for us in our careers, fitness, motherhood, and every other area of our lives. But, when God’s plan looks different than ours, we often doubt if it’s truly the path we should take. We doubt our abilities and begin to wonder if we can actually accomplish what he desires of us. This leads us to struggle with self-doubt. We feel like we don’t have enough - enough time, enough talents, enough resources, enough ability. We tell ourselves we don’t have what it takes to do what God is asking of us. We feel like we just can’t measure up. In today’s episode we’re discussing how to surrender to God instead of relying on our own strength. When we do this, God takes what we have and multiplies it, making it more than sufficient for His purposes. If you’ve ever felt inadequate or unsure of how to accomplish the plans God has called you to, then give this episode a listen. You’ll walk away empowered and renewed in God’s strength! My family and I recently took a week-long trip out of state to celebrate my husband and I’s anniversary. Every year instead of getting each other gifts, we take a small trip instead. Traveling is a huge passion for us, but with two kiddos in tow it can be a bit exhausting. Not to mention having minimal personal space and barely any extra downtime - hello hotel living! Being in an environment like this can leave me feeling a bit chaotic and sometimes even guilty because I’m not consistent with my normal routines. Have you ever felt this way too? This struggle is more common than you think, but what you might not know is that the Bible is very clear about this topic. God doesn’t want us to struggle over our food choices by being held bondage to the satisfaction that it brings us. He wants to set us free from finding our comfort in food and the constant battle to choose between what we want and what we know is best for us. Come along with me today as we break down 1 Corinthians 10 and what it has to say about our food choices. I’ll also cover a few practical ways that you can shift your mindset around food and start making God-honoring choices when it comes to your nutrition. Today I’m going to walk you through why comparison is holding you back, and how you can overcome it to walk fully in the purposes that God has for you. Grab your FREE Bible Reading Plan here!
