Ep 7Every Rockie Ever #7: Justin Morneau
Every Rockie Ever is a brand new show under the Rocky Mountain Rooftop banner where brothers Skyler and Dustin Timmins sit down and talk about every player to suit up for the Colorado Rockies to share memories and the legacy of their careers. This week, Dustin and Skyler talk about a certain Rockie that hails from Canada, was a left-handed bat with power, and happened to wear #33. That's right, it's former Twins legend Justin Morneau! In the wake of Todd Helton's retirement, the Rockies needed a first baseman, and they brought in Morneau who found a brief revival in Colorado during his short time in purple. In 30 years of existence, the Colorado Rockies have seen nearly 700+ players and coaches suit up in purple. From the greats of Todd Helton and Larry Walker to the obscure like Kent Bottenfield and Tim Christman. Join brothers Skyler and Dustin Timmins as they endeavor to shine a light on Every Rockie Ever. Every Rockie Ever is part of the Rocky Mountain Rooftop network, a Rockies affiliate of the Fans First Podcast Network. Ep 69Affected by Altitude: Nice.
This week, Evan and the Brothers Timmins discuss the roster shuffling of the Colorado Rockies with several DFAs and new arrivals. Meanwhile, the Rockies are bad but at least some of the kids are playing and playing well. In particular, Nolan Jones, Ezequiel Tovar, and Brenton Doyle are all finding big league success. Our trio also discusses the World Champion Denver Nuggets and what the Rockies can learn from their neighbors at Ball Arena. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 68Affected by Altitude: We Tried Nothing and We're All Out of Ideas
This week, Evan and Skyler discuss the frankly concerning and somewhat inexplicable power drain the Colorado Rockies are facing as they simply aren't hitting home runs at any sort of steady pace. We also discuss Pierce Johnson as a pitcher after the Colorado native lost the closing role, and discuss who we think should take over as closer going forward. We'll give you a hint, it's Justin Lawrence. Meanwhile, we round things out by having a little fun and drafting historical lineups to pit against one another on the fields of battle! Ep 6Every Rockie Ever #6: Michael Cuddyer
Every Rockie Ever is a brand new show under the Rocky Mountain Rooftop banner where brothers Skyler and Dustin Timmins sit down and talk about every player to suit up for the Colorado Rockies to share memories and the legacy of their careers. In this episode, Skyler and Dustin look back on the Rockies' career of one of their personal favorites, Michael Cuddyer. Joining the Rockies after 11 years with the Minnesota Twins, Cuddyer left a strong impression in a Rockies uniform. In his brief three years, his reputation as a great person and quality ball player was quite apparent in his feats on and off the field despite injuries that popped up. Cuddy truly in our Buddy. Ep 67Affected by Altitude: A Couple of Rule Breakers
This week, Evan makes his triumphant return to the show after a truly delightful bout of illness. He and Skyler discuss the Kris Bryant dilemma where the Colorado Rockies supposed-to-be-Superstar has no power and a hefty contract. Meanwhile, Ryan McMahon is turning his season around after a triumphant end of May. The Rockies are also letting the kids play (though facilitated by injury) and we're seeing Brenton Doyle, Nolan Jones, and Ezequiel Tovar thrive with their regular playing time. We also name our Position Player, Pitcher, and MVP of the Month for May! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 65Affected by Altitude: Talking to Myself
The podcast Affected by Altitude is hosted by Purple Row staff writers Evan Lang and Skyler Timmins, who are incredibly proud and excited to be lending their voices to more great Rockies content for you to enjoy. Joining Evan and Skyler is a rotating cast of guest hosts to talk shop about everyone’s favorite purple baseball team. This week, due to schedule conflicts and Evan’s voice recovering from an illness he probably got from Texas, Skyler takes on the tall task of running the show all by himself. Despite hating the sound of his own voice, he talks about injury updates and the return of Nolan Jones as well as the prospect of Dinelson Lamet joining the starting rotation. Finally, he talks about Ryan McMahon’s offensive woes and what he might need to do to change course this season. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 5Every Rockie Ever #5: Jeff Reed & Kirt Manwaring
Every Rockie Ever is a brand new show under the Rocky Mountain Rooftop banner where brothers Skyler and Dustin Timmins sit down and talk about every player to suit up for the Colorado Rockies to share memories and the legacy of their careers. In this episode, Skyler and Dustin look back on the Rockies' catching tandem in the late '90s. First, they cover the efforts of Jeff Reed as a defensive first catcher that saw his offensive potential boom in Colorado. Then, they look at the addition of Kirt Manwaring which causes Dustin to have a mighty change of heart toward a player that he despised as a 12-year-old. Ep 65Affected by Altitude: UCL Tears of the Kingdom
This week, Skyler manages to drag himself away from playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to talk all things Colorado Rockies with Kenneth Weber while Evan is on vacation in Texas. The roster continues to shuffle as Antonio Senzatela is having elbow troubles while the Rockies continue to try and stitch together a battered pitching rotation, a true test of their depth. However, the bullpen has continued to carry the rotation with one of the best in the game. Finally, they discuss the influx of rookies on the team, including the progression of Ezequiel Tovar and Brenton Doyle. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

S1 Ep 4Every Rockie Ever #4: Mr. Late Night
With the game on the line in the later innings, one man stood above the rest with his knack for getting the clutch hit to help the Colorado Rockies. His efforts from the 7th inning on earned him the nickname "Mr. Late Night." Join Skyler and Dustin as they look back on the career of Rockies fan favorite Seth Smith. Ep 64Affected by Altitude: Rostermania Runs Wild
This week, what are you gonna do when Rostermania runs wild, brother? Skyler and Evan discuss the multitude of roster changes the Colorado Rockies have gone through over the last week. These include the end of Germán Márquez' season, the surprising end of Yonathan Daza's tenure as a Rockies player, and a new backup catcher. Meanwhile, the Rockies bullpen has been surprisingly good at picking up the beleaguered bullpen, and the rookies are blossoming with regular playing time. Learn more about your ad choices. Ep 1Monthly Pebble Report Podcast: April (and March) 2023
Kenneth and Evan are delighted to bring back the Pebble Report Podcast in a new monthly format! We discuss the current state of the Colorado Rockies minor league system and prospects that catch our eye across all four affiliates. We also point out some prospects and minor leaguers to look out for, as well as name our All-Minor-League Team for the month of April (and March!) Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 63Affected by Altitude: April Showers Bring May Flowers... Right?
The month of April is over and the Colorado Rockies are... not good. Skyler and Evan discuss the worst month of April in Rockies franchise history as seemingly nothing--from the pitching to the defense to the hitting--is working. Meanwhile the rotation is in shambles as the injuries keep piling up. Germán Márquez and Noah Davis are both on the IL and we don't know how long it will be for. What hope is there for the starting unit? There are some positives, at least. Randal Grichuk is back, Antonio Senzatela is on his way, and the Rockies have been letting more of the young guys play with the rise of Brenton Doyle. We also announce our April (and March!) Players of the month! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

S1 Ep 3Every Rockie Ever #3: Aaron Cook
Skyler and Dustin reflect on the career of one of Colorado's foundational pitchers, Aaron Cook. For 10 years, Aaron Cook was a workhorse for the Rockies, battling through injuries, but creating the mold for starting pitchers that the organization is still trying to replicate. Hear them reminisces about his personal vendetta against the San Diego Padres, his 80 pitch shutouts, and an incredible performance in the 2008 All Star Game. Ep 62Affected by Altitude: That's Baseball
This week, Skyler and Evan are less than thrilled with how the Colorado Rockies have started their 2023 campaign. Daniel Bard is back, while Randal Grichuk, Antonio Senzatela, and Germán Márquez are on the way, but nothing seems to be working for this team. The rotation is floundering, the offense isn't getting it done, and the defense is inadequate. Elehuris Montero has been effectively benched. Could it be time for a change at manager? Would a new skipper help, or are the problems to ingrained at the top of the front office? At least rookie pitcher Noah Davis has been making gutsy starts. As Harry Ralston Black says: "That's Baseball." Meanwhile, Skyler recaps his trip to Albuquerque to take in an Isotopes game. He and Evan discuss the 'Topes, and the joys of Minor League Baseball. Ep 61Affected by Altitude: This Team is Taxing
This week, Evan and Skyler discuss the injuries of the Colorado Rockies thus far. Germán Márquez avoided the worst case scenario, while Antonio Senzatela is working his way back to providing much needed consistency in the middle of the rotation. Meanwhile, the Rockies dropped the ball with the Nolan Jones call-up and the offense is all over the place. We're only a few weeks into the season and the cracks are starting to show in Skyler and Evan's positivity. Can they make it through 162 games? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

S1 Ep 2Every Rockie Ever #2: The Big Cat
In this first official episode, Dustin and Skyler go back to the very first Rockie in team history. Signed for a mere $600K as the first free agent in 1992, Andres Galarraga became the first superstar for the Rockies, cementing himself as a fan favorite thanks to his catlike reflects at first base and his tendency to launch baseballs. Ep 60Affected by Altitude: And on the Third Series the Rockies split
The Colorado Rockies are three series into their 2023 campaign. Skyler returns from the IL as he and Evan break down the Rockies' woes so far. One big woe is José Ureña, who has had two terrible outings this year. The offense isn't doing the rotation any favors though, as the lack of production, high strikeout rates, and no consistent hitting philosophy puts a ton of pressure on the pitching staff. Meanwhile, Jurickson Profar is finally with the team, and the Rockies have put out a schedule for celebrating their 30th Anniversary. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 59Affected by Altitude: Cronquering the Padres
This week, Evan, Mario, and Kenneth discuss the Colorado Rockies and their first three games of the season against the San Diego Padres. The Old Man Squad of Charlie Blackmon, Kris Bryant, and CJ Cron are red hot to start the season, with Cron on an absolute tear. Cron went 7-for-11 with three home runs and two walks in his first three games. How is the rest of the team faring at the plate? Meanwhile, Germán Márquez and Kyle Freeland both had excellent season debuts... but the Rockies pitching depth falls off a cliff after that with José Ureña as the third starter. S1 Ep 1Every Rockie Ever #1: The Brothers Timmins
In this kickoff episode, the Timmins brothers share some background on the podcast and share some history and memories of their experiences being fans of the Colorado Rockies. Ep 58Affected by Altitude: On the Dawn of a New Season
With less than a week until the 2023 regular season begins, Evan is joined by Mario and Kenneth to discuss the improved Rockies farm system and the pitchers of the future within it. Meanwhile, the final roster is beginning to take shape. What will the Opening Day 26-man roster look like for the Colorado Rockies, and how do our hosts rate the position groups? Fans First Sports Network 2023 NL West Preview Show

Ep 57Affected by Altitude: Shiny and New
This week, Skyler and Evan introduce the podcast's new home on Rocky Mountain Rooftop as part of the Fans First Sports Network. Meanwhile, the Colorado Rockies have signed Jurickson Profar to a one year deal with the expectation he starts in left field and bats leadoff. What does this mean for the team? The World Baseball Classic is also beginning to reach a climax and we discuss Rockies playing in the WBC and the tournament so far. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 56Affected by Altitude: A Moose in Smarch Weather
This week, Skyler and Evan are joined by Kenneth Weber to discuss the injuries of Brendan Rodgers and Lucas Gilbreath. The Colorado Rockies have signed Mike Moustakas to a minor league deal as they look to determine how to fill the gap left by Rodgers, and have signed LHP Brad Hand for the bullpen. Meanwhile, is the battle for the utility position between Cole Tucker and Harold Castro overlooking Alan Trejo? We also look at how key players Kris Bryant and Germán Márquez are doing so far in the desert. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 55Affected by Altitude: It's Time to Train in the Spring
This week, Skyler and Evan are ready for Spring Training... but it's a shame the Colorado Rockies might not even be on TV by the end of it with WBD announcing their intention to get out of the RSN market. At least the Rockies are playing baseball as we break down the first game of the spring. Meanwhile, rule changes have arrived in Major League Baseball for better of for worse, and there are some position players you should be keeping an eye on. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 54Affected by Altitude: Spring is About to Sprung
This week Skyler and Evan provide more details about the future of the podcast before diving into some news. Colorado Rockies skipper Bud Black has been extended through the 2024 season and Kyle Freeland is playing for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic (while Germán Márquez has left Team Venezuela due to injury). Meanwhile, the Rockies have done shockingly little to hype up the 30th Anniversary of the team. In the second half, pitchers and catchers have reported for duty in Arizona. Which pitchers should we keep an eye on, what will the Rockies do about their rotational depth, and what is there to say of the many catchers in camp this year? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 53Affected by Altitude: New Year, New Podcast, Same Ol' Rockies
This week, Skyler and Evan are joined by Mario DeGenz as they discuss the future of the show after funding cuts and Mac stepping away to focus on other projects. After biting the bullet, it's time to discuss how Todd Helton was again snubbed -- just barely -- from the Hall of Fame with 72.2% of the vote. Meanwhile, Colorado Rockies owner Dick Monfort keeps finding ways to put his foot in his mouth, much to the chagrin of Rockies fans. Despite it all though, the Rockies have quietly had a fairly interesting and productive offseason worth discussing. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 52Affected by Altitude: I got a Gold Glove! I got a Silver Slugger! ...I got a rock [ies].
In this week's extremely spooky episode, Mac, Skyler, and Evan discuss last minute Colorado Rockies Halloween costumes. After a week off, Mac explains his Player of the Month choices for September and October in Ezequiel Tovar and Justin Lawrence. From there we dive into nominations for hardware. The Rockies have two Gold Glove and Silver Slugger nominees apiece. Who are they and do they have a chance of winning? We also chat playoffs as the World Series between the Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies has finally started. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 51Affected by Altitude: All Around Me Are Familiar Faces (of the Franchise)
This week, Evan, Skyler, and Mac discuss the biggest news of the young offseason for the Colorado Rockies: hitting coach Dave Magadan is gone. What does this mean for the future of the Rockies and who should come in to instill a new hitting philosophy with a struggling offense? Stu Cole has also been moved. The longtime third base coach has been reassigned to a minor league role. With one face leaving, the Rockies might have a new face (of the franchise) on the big league roster soon as Zac Veen impresses down in the Arizona Fall League. When can we expect him? It's also time for our September/October players of the month! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 50Affected by Altitude: It's Finally Over
The 2022 season has mercifully come to an end for the Colorado Rockies, and Skyler and Evan are here with a postmortem on a frustrating and difficult season. The record was bad, changes need to be made, and Kyle Freeland--now a veteran leader--has publicly called for change in the organization. On the bright side, the Rockies have less-than-zero odds at the top overall draft pick. We also catch up on things around the MLB like Aaron Judge's home run record, the grand finale for Albert Pujols (the MACHINE), and Shohei Ohtani's incredible season. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 49Affected by Altitude: Don't Send Me On My Way (to Dodger Stadium)
This week, Skyler, Evan, and Mac prepare for the end of the season, and several Colorado Rockies players have already reached the end of theirs. Charlie Blackmon, Connor Joe, and Carlos Estévez are done for the year on the IL. Meanwhile, we break down Bill Schmidt's baffling but not unexpected comments on the Rockies' 2022 performance. You can also learn what the Rockies and Dragon Ball Z have in common. We also explore the Rockies being just okay at home instead of putting up strong numbers at Coors Field and despair at the long and exhausting road trip that leads us to the season's end. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 48Affected by Altitude: Zooming Towards Tovar Time
This week, Evan, Mac, and Skyler revel in the fact that Tovar Time has finally arrived for fans of the Colorado Rockies. Tovar joins a group of young rookies starting to get frequent playing time and he's perhaps the most exciting. The Rockies also called up some pitching prospects in Noah Davis and Gavin Hollowell. How will they do in their first taste of the big leagues after jumping straight up from Double-A Hartford? Meanwhile, veteran pitcher Jhoulys Chacín has been released and the gang is pretty sure this might be it for his 14-season big league career. We reflect on his time as a Rockie and predict what might be next for him. Finally, the Rockies will have finished their final homestand of the season by the time this episode goes up. Having clinched their fourth straight losing season and been eliminated from playoff contention, what are the expectations for the Rockies in the last week or so of play? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 47Affected by Altitude: Letting the Kids Play
This week, Evan, Mac, and Skyler discuss how the Colorado Rockies are finally letting the kids play. Elehuris Montero, Sean Bouchard, Michael Toglia, Brian Serven, and Alan Trejo are all rookies getting regular playing time in the waning days of the 2022 season. It certainly makes meaningless September baseball a lot more watchable. They also discuss the injury to lefty reliever Lucas Gilbreath and what losing him means for the Rockies bullpen. Meanwhile, Major League Baseball has officially pushed forward with rule changes starting in 2022. The hosts discuss what they are and how they feel about the changes coming to the sport. It's also time to name the August Players of the Month! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 46Affected by Altitude: With Regards to BRod and RyMac
With a mediocre-to-bad Colorado Rockies team very likely to lose 90+ games this season, Evan, Skyler, and Mac can at least discuss the positives in a breakout season for Brendan Rodgers at second base and Ryan McMahon improving in the home stretch. Meanwhile, we say bye bye to Bob Stephenson, who has been designated for assignment after a rough 2022 campaign. We wrap things up with another round of "Three True Outcomes," where Skyler presents us with some hypotheticals and we decide if it's a strikeout (no way), a walk (maybe), or a home run (a sure thing). Play along with us! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 45Affected by Altitude: Black and Blue in Black and Purple
We're in the dog days of summer and the Colorado Rockies are, well... not good. Evan, Skyler, and Mac discuss the slumping and very injured Colorado Rockies. When you're late in the season and very clearly not competing, what do you do when players are injured and you need to do something to make the team interesting? Meanwhile, the Rockies offense has been hitting a stretch of peak badness in the second half and it's highlighted by the disappearance of the Cron Zone. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 44Affected by Altitude: Bernie and Monty in the Mile High City
This week, Skyler, Evan, and Mac discuss how Elehuris Montero is finally getting regular playing time for the big league club and it's paying dividends as he performs well for the Colorado Rockies. Meanwhile, Wynton Bernard is at long last getting his emotional call up to the show and Rockies prospects are getting promoted up the ranks. On the negative side of things, Alex Colomé has struggled immensely in the month of August and the Rockies fans were vastly outnumbered as the St. Louis Cardinals and an ex-boyfriend came to visit. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 43Affected by Altitude: A Tired Trade Deadline Tête-à-tête
This week, Skyler, Evan, and Mac discuss Daniel Bard's extension before having an extended conversation about the Colorado Rockies and their inaction at the deadline. This team is frustrating, listless, and seems to lack much of a plan or identity for either right now or for the future. By doing nothing at all for the 2022 trade deadline, the Rockies seem determined to kick the can down the road to the frustration and growing apathy of fans. What's to be done? Why are they doing it? We have a nice long discussion about it all. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Pebble Report Podcast: Wynton Bernard headlines the All-July Team
Justin Wick (@justwick) and Kenneth Weber (@KDub1988) show some love to Wynton Bernard, outfielder for the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes and the Pacific Coast League Player of the Month for July. Bernard, a 31-year-old journeyman through the minors, has yet to play in the big leagues and is not currently on the Rockies’ 40-man roster. His dominant performance in Triple-A cannot be denied, and the minor league awards selection committee members have agreed. Justin and Kenneth talk about what it might take to finally give him his day in the Show, and how 40-man roster spots are allocated differently between pitchers and position players. Also announced is the Pebble Report All-July team, featuring a full 26-man roster of top July performers in the Rockies organization. Double-A Hartford has the most players on the honorary roster with eight. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 42Affected by Altitude: Here Comes the Deadline Again
This week, Skyler, Evan, and Mac discuss the strong July for catcher Elias Díaz and starting pitcher Germán Márquez, both of whom needed the turnarounds they're showing. We also ask the questions "what do you do when your team is getting blown out, and what do you do when your team is out of contention?" Meanwhile, the trade deadline looms. Why are the Colorado Rockies so gun-shy when it comes to the deadline and making big trades? What will they do this coming deadline? It's also time at last for our July Players of the Month! Pebble Report Podcast: MLB Draft Recap
Justin Wick (@justwick) and Kenneth Weber (@KDub1988) cover all 20 rounds of the 2022 MLB Draft through Colorado eyes; topics include the Rockies selecting a first-round pitcher for the first time since 2019 (and doing so under slot value), a positional state of the union on updated organizational depth, how the club navigated bonus pool money and more. Draft subtopics also feature the outfield depth Colorado has acquired since drafting Zac Veen in 2020, the general concept of the Rockies drafting high school pitching in an early round, closing out the final 11 rounds of the draft with 10 pitchers, and some immediate (and perhaps early) comparisons of draftees to big leaguers. Ep 41Affected by Altitude: All-Star Breaking Hearts
This week, Mac, Skyler, and Evan discuss the somewhat lackluster 2022 All-Star Weekend festivities that took place in Los Angeles as we head into the second half of the season. What are the predictions and expectations for the remainder of the year? We also talk the MLB Draft, how we think the Rockies did, and who our favorite picks are. Meanwhile, drama is brewing in our nation's capital as Juan Soto declined a 15 year, $440 million contract extension and now might be traded by the Nationals. Learn more about your ad choices. Ep 40Affected by Altitude: Sponsored by Nik-L-Nips
Reunited and it feels so good! Mac, Skyler, and Evan are together again at last for another episode of Affected by Altitude! This week, Elehuris Montero has mercifully been sent back down to Triple-A Albuquerque to get regular at bats after wasting away on the Rockies bench for a month. Colton Welker has been designated for assignment and claimed by the San Francisco Giants... How will this come back to haunt us? José Iglesias is one of the best hitters in the national league, which is great for his trade value. It's a shame that Bill Schmidt has indicated the Rockies will not be sellers at the deadline despite ending the first half seven games below .500 with no playoff berth in sight. We break down the Rockies desperate need to sell assets juxtaposed by the frustrating attitude of the front office. At least we have CJ Cron being an All-Star to fall back on, right? We also play a game with Mac: "Let's Make a Deal!" Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ep 39Affected by Altitude: Mac to the Future(s Game)
This week, Mac has returned to us! ...But now Skyler is gone. Mac and Evan finish off the June Player of the Month ratings, Kris Bryant has finally uncorked the power in his bat, and Daniel Bard keeps going strong as the Rockies closer. Meanwhile, José Ureña made his return to the bigs in a Colorado Rockies uniform. He performed admirably in a spot start for the injured Antonio Senzatela, but the cost was heavy. Once-top corner infielder prospect Colton Welker has been designated for assignment and claimed away. Was it worth it? Evan also complains about Elehuris Montero not getting enough playing time for the third week in a row after some quotes from Bud Black were posted in Thomas Harding's newsletter. While one top prospect struggles to find footing in the major leagues, two more are set to represent the Rockies in the Futures Game during All-Star festivities. ...Speaking of festivities, the World Baseball Classic is returning at last! Last held in 2017, the WBC in 2021 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully the exciting worldwide showcase will be returning in 2023! Learn more about your ad choices. Pebble Report Podcast: The All-June Team, MLB Draft Preview
Justin Wick (@justwick) and Kenneth Weber (@KDub1988) break down a full 26-man roster out of top Rockies prospects based on June performance. They also discuss the incoming wave of prospects that Colorado might pursue in the MLB Draft this month; the Rockies hold the 10th, 31st and 38th selections, and the full first round could be particularly heavy on position players. Affected by Altitude: Can You Be Log-Jammed in a Two-Man Show?
This week, we're back after recording a mysterious "lost episode" because Evan got some variety of plague and couldn't edit last week. Skyler and Evan are here with a two man show to break down the return of Kris Bryant and what the Rockies need to see from him now that he's back. Meanwhile, the roster is as log-jammed as ever and it's costing top prospect Elehuris Montero valuable playing time. It needs to be fixed and we discuss how to go about it. Daniel Bard is one of the Rockies' most valuable trade chips as we approach the deadline with several times reported as being interested in acquiring his services... but the Colorado Rockies also have thoughts of an extension in their heads. Which route would you go down with the 37-year old closer? Finally, June is over at long last. That means it's time to explore our Position Player, Pitcher, and MVP of the month! Affected by Altitude: Say It Ain't So, I Will Not Go
The Colorado Rockies are not necessarily a bad team on paper, but the execution seems to be flawed at every level. This week, Skyler, Mac, and Evan sit down and have a much needed talk on what is wrong with this organization's approach to both pitching and hitting: analytics and coaching. On the pitching side, Yency Almonte is one of the Los Angeles Dodgers best relievers after being outrighted off the Rockies roster with a 7.55 ERA in 2021. Offensively we have taken a guy like Randal Grichuk--who specializes in fly ball and line drive contact--and have him driving the ball into the dirt at career high levels. The Rockies need to completely change their organizational approach and it starts with a shakeup of Bud Black's coaching staff (Darryl Scott and Dave Magadan) and finally getting with the times when it comes to R&D. We do have some positives to talk about though. Kris Bryant is on the mend and expected to be back with the team soon, and some members of the rotation really seem to be turning a corner. Meanwhile, the Rockies had several big league debuts this season and we've seen some interesting results. Brian Serven--the rookie catcher--has been such a pleasant surprise this season. Affected by Altitude: Get Your Game On. Go Play.
Evan, Skyler, and Mac are back after a much needed week off to talk Colorado Rockies baseball. Charlie Blackmon has turned it back on with his 200th home run and 1500th career hit. Where does he sit in the pantheon of the Rockies in history? When he retires will he go live in the bullpen woods at Coors Field? Will he teach us how to fish? Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers (who looks like Chuck Nazty Jr.) found his stroke in the month of May and is showing everyone what he has in the tank as the Rockies' starting second baseman with Player of the Week honors. Also, Alex "Slowlomé" no more? Alex Colomé has turned back into the reliever he's been over his career after a bumpy Rockies start. Colomé cements a ferocious back-end in the arm barn that is paying dividends for Colorado. Finally, it's All-Star Game ballot season. Who are we voting for, what's the voting philosophy, and which Rockies player has the best shot of representing the team? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Affected by Altitude: Fresh New Look, Same Old Injuries
This week, Mac, Evan, and Skyler discuss the freshly announced (at time of recording) Colorado Rockies City Connect uniforms. They're green! General consensus is positive, but there are some things we'd do a little differently. Meanwhile, Kris Bryant is back on the IL with his back injury. What do we make of a highly paid superstar who's only played 17 games so far? Ryan Feltner and Brian Serven have been solid in their big league opportunities, Connor Joe won't stop getting on base, and Brendan Rodgers is on a healthy hit streak. It's also the end of May, which means that it's time for your hosts to name their Position Player of the Month, Pitcher of the Month, and decide which one is their MVP! Do you agree with our choices? Who would you choose? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Affected by Altitude: Hail to the Chief
Another back injury!? This week, Evan, Mac, and Skyler discuss starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela's trip to the IL and how the Colorado Rockies will replace him in the rotation until he can return. Also on the table is the demotion of Dom Nuñez to Triple-A Albuquerque, paving the way for the big league debut of Brian Serven. At time of recording, the Rockies had just wrapped up a three game series against the San Francisco Giants, whom had defeated them a brutal 12 straight times. Just what is it that makes San Francisco so much better than the Rockies? Perhaps our President Tyler Kinley has the answers. Kinley is pitching extremely well this season to the surprise and delight of our hosts. What are the keys to his success? Meanwhile, the Rockies are on the eve of another road trip: one against fellow cellar dwellers in the Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals. What do the Rockies need to do in order to have a successful road trip and regain some footing after that homestand slide? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Affected by Altitude: Hit the Road, Jack? I Want to Hit More Jacks on the Road!
This week, Evan, Mac, and Skyler discuss the Colorado Rockies optioning Justin Lawrence to Triple-A in favor of adding Lucas Gilbreath to the struggling bullpen. Kris Bryant is still sidelined with a back injury... how much longer will we have to wait for his return? Meanwhile, the "Road Rockies" have reared their ugly head in 2022. The Rockies got stomped during their first two big road trips of the season with minimal offense and ugly play on every side of the ball. What needs to be fixed and what can be done to fix it? We then wrap things up by exploring how old friends are doing across the league so far. Also, do you like terrible Mark Wahlberg impressions? Learn more about your ad choices.
