RIP a Livecast #92 - That's Shaveable

E

This week on the Livecast, we began the show talking about all the broads Sean boned. The talk quickly shifts to Rob meeting some chick at a show, and then the show seemingly morphed into Loveline. Rob then discussed the Suicidal Tendencies show and his opinions on Mike Muir. When we came back for the second hour, Sean had a crazy idea about a new contest that you can read about under the playlist. We then played a special version of Thrash It or Trash It, where each host picked a song and we got Shlomo, Mongoose Commander and Pizza Destroyer to judge the tracks. It came out awesome! We ended the show with a great story about a grandma and a wrestling promoter. Here is this week's playlist:Decapitated – Three-Dimensional DefectSuicidal Tendencies – SubliminalLandmine Marathon – Shadows Fed To TyrantsBehemoth – Slaves Shall ServeGenghis Tron – Laser BitchSean's Contest: Leave a comment on this post with your idea for a dumb (small) tattoo for Sean to get on his calf muscle. In two weeks (on Dec. 1st) we will vote on what the best/dumbest idea is and then Sean WILL ACTUALLY GET THE TATTOO by the following week.Another contest: We had Shlomo sing the Dreidel Song acapella and we want you guys to create a metal cover! Also, we get another call from Shlomo who auditions to fill in for Chuck Blandington, as well as continues work on his forthcoming covers EP, adding covers by Mortician and Lamb of God to the mix. In the second hour, we played Thrash It or Trash It with the following bands: Doomsday Mourning, Eyes vs The Sky, Rock Bottom, Rapegoat, Bellicist and Suppurative Inflammation. RIP a Livecast #90 - The Ballad of The Greatest Man w/Greg Weeks of THE RED CHORD

E

On this post-election day edition of RIP a Livecast we started things off with a special press conference featuring "Jimmy McMullen", leader of the Rent Is Too Damn High party. Once we began the show, we started briefly talking about politics and mention Ozzy appearing at the Rally To Restore Sanity and/or Fear. We then get a bunch of callers and actually talk about music including new music from Athiest, Between the Buried and Me and Dimmu Borgir. We try to decide which characters from Seinfeld each member of the Livecast would be and wrapped up the first hour with 3D trying to get details on one of our callers moms,We start the second hour with Greg Weeks, bassist of The Red Chord calling in and giving everybody some advice. He starts by explaining to Noa how she could get rid of a guy that just can't take a hint. He also answers various callers' questions and then Shlomo calls in and gives him a rendition of "Dreaming In Dog Years". After a music break, Mrs. Divatelli joins us to give a special report on the election results from yesterday, as well as her opinions on Prop 19 and smoking in general. RIP a Livecast #89 - Shlomo Singing, The Meaning of Pain

E

What a return episode we have for you this week which also happens to be our Halloween edition. We started the episode talking about our CMJ show last week and how Rob and Noa met Shlomo in person. Shlomo called in, of course to give you his side of the story. We moved onto Sean telling a story of hanging out at a Chicago bar during the UFC ppv this weekend, and how he was instigating a fight with the meathead fans there. We brought up the Rent Is Too Damn High dude. After the music break, we talked about Noa's recent dance classes. Immediately following that, Shlomo called in and we somehow got him to serenade us with a stunning rendition of "Angel of Death" (or L.M.F.) by Slayer. We closed out the show with a little Thrash It or Trash It playing Al Gore (Is BROOTAL), Unforgiven, Lost Soul, Sirens and Serenades. Also, since this was the Halloween edition, we sprinkled pre-recorded segments with some of your favorite Livecast characters talking about what costumes they are wearing for Halloween! Here is this week's playlist:The Misfits – HalloweenEntombed – Hollywood BabylonColiseum – BulletSnapcase – SheRefused – BulletMarduk – Earth A.D.Integrity – Hybrid MomentsMetallica – Last Caress/Green HellDeadguy – Death Comes RippingOrange Goblin – We BiteSick Of It All – All Hell Breaks LooseThe Misfits – Halloween IISee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.Support the show: http://patreon.com/ripalivecast Hosted on Acast. RIP a Livecast Mixtape #7 - Larry Mustaine's Thor Bath House Merge

E

It just hit you didn't it? There is no Livecast this week! Rob and Noa are at the CMJ showcase we've been plugging all month. Sid is at another show, 3D is in Atlantic City and Sean is…um, well who knows where Sean is? But, since we weren't here, we compiled another GREAT mixtape. We noticed lately, that we have a lot of new listeners so we decided to make this mixtape a mix of clips from recent episodes and then clips from much older episodes that some of you might have missed. Ultimately, it's just non-stop comedy. Here is what you can expect from this mixtape:– Sean discussing his prostate exams– Larry King singing "Poker Face"– JCVD's commercial for his off-off Broadway show, Death of a Salesman– A reading of Dave Mustaine's autobiography by "Dave Mustaine"– A visit from Santa Clause last Christmas– Rob talking about his visit to a Russian bath house– A call from MI junkie "metalfifa" requesting RED GORD MERGE– Death or No Death III– Thor Shredsteen and his girlfriend Antanella talking about ObamacareSo have a laugh and come back next week for an all new Metal Injection Livecast!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.Support the show: http://patreon.com/ripalivecast Hosted on Acast. E

We started the show with Frank talking about radio interviews. Then we talked about Weezer's new record, then Jenny sang a little Weezer. We then listened Metallica slowed down. We got a bunch of calls, including one from Shlomo which may have been the highlight of the night. Obviously, we mentioned We got a few other callers and demanded that each rate Noa on scale from one to ten. After the music break, we took a few more calls, and played a mini-Thrash-It-or-Trash-It, where we learned about Indonesian thrash band Vertical Dead. Then, we started playing some cover tunes from Dread Zeppelin, Black Fag and Black Velvet Flag. It was Good Times. Here is this week's playlist:A Life Once Lost – I Give InDropdead – HerdAvantasia – Shelter From The RainDoomriders – LionsThe Shattering – Enter BulletReminder: There will not be a live episode on the air next week. RIP a Livecast #85 - Ping Ping Ping Ball Gag

E

On this Sid-less edition of the podcast, we begin the show talking about a friend of ours' backyard wrestling league and how lame it is which transition to Noa's encounter with X-Pac last week. We get phone calls from some familiar voices from India and Iraq. When we came back from our music break, we combined two of our favorite segments: Dave Mustaine Readings and Porno Mad Libs to form Dave Mustaine Mad Libs. The resulting bit lead to many lulz. We also found out that Metallica is teaming with Ray Davies of the Kinks for a song, which lead to some fun Metallica banter to end the show. RIP a Livecast #84 - Mmm mmm Mah Mah [Updated]

E

Click Here To Watch The VideoBehind The Scenes footage from our epic adventure on Mount Taurus, which we discussed during the show. This edition of the Livecast will go down in the history books as quite possibly the most obnoxious episode ever. That is due to a certain soundbyte we acquired of Larry King attempting to sing 'Poker Face', which we played over and over in the second hour. It's pretty amazing. Besides that, Noa and Rob discuss getting stranded on a mountain and being pulled over by cops. We finally hear from Shlomo again, we learn that Sean has an OKCupid profile and he gives some tips on how to pick up the ladies and we play a rousing edition of Thrash It or Trash It featuring Knife the Puppets, Masakari, Walrus Warlust, I Ate Your Math Teacher, Rattlehead, Embalmment, and Suffer. Also, we hear a new parody from 3D all about the Iron Sheik to the tune of Eminem featuring Rhianna. On this edition of RIP a Livecast, we were joined by iwrestledabearonce guitarist Steven Bradley. Steven called in at the top of the second hour and answered a lot of serious questions about his gear, the band name, and their silly song titles, as well as how they got in touch with Dennis Haskins to appear in their recent video.Besides that, in the first hour we discussed the Glenn Beck rally and this clip, a caller asked us to talk about what our sexual fantasies are, we mention the Phil Anselmo story we posted about earlier, we play a recap song of last week's episode by Cancerscare, as well as talk about Sean possibly leaving the show in a year. RIP a Livecast #82 - Twat Shots

E

On this episode of RIP a Livecast the fans really showed their love by calling in to wish Rob a happy birthday. It didn't turn out to be so happy for him; since Rob decided to take a vodka shot for every caller. But at least it was for the rest of us. Frank and Jenny also join us to celebrate Rob. The only person who neglected Rob on his birthday is Sean, who was too busy in Chicago getting some broad pregnant at Magic Park (As a caller pointed out). There's a whole lotta nothin' going on after, besides Rob expressing his drunkeness in song.Agalloch – Falling SnowBleeding Kansas – Retract the AltitudeCephalic Carnage – The Incorrigible FlameCovenant – PlanetariumSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.Support the show: http://patreon.com/ripalivecast Hosted on Acast. RIP a Livecast #81 - Couscous In The Puss Puss

E

This week, RIP a Livecast was pretty epic. In the first hour, we got a phone call from a fan stationed in Iraq, which was pretty awesome. Then, we discuss the possibility of Rob getting an OK Cupid account. After the music break, we do another reading from Dave Mustaine's autobiography. We are turned on to possibly the grossest album art ever (very NSFW), then we discuss terrible Megadeth remixes, and then end the show with not one but two really awful videos from a Brazilian, the bed intruder song, It's So Cold Here In The D, and other random clips. This edition features a ton of material. Eyal gives us an update on the band's new material and interacts with some callers. Afterwards, we play some exclusive clips from the audiobook version of Dave Mustaine's upcoming autobiography. RIP a Livecast #75 - In Or Around My Mouth

E

This edition of RIP a Livecast featured an exclusive trailer for Sean's upcoming Fall sitcom Somebody Gonna Get Pregnant. That happened right before the music break. The show starts with a large influx of callers, one of which was a programmer, and possibly our most intellectual caller yet. This was later counteracted by a barrage of stoners bringing things back to normal. Good work guys! We also talked about Mel Gibson's recent tirade, Dave Mustaine's recent quotes, Faith No More playing in Brooklyn and Neil Hamburger opening for them. We ended the show with a 10 minute tangent on stand up comedy. Very exciting. E

On this edition of the Livecast, we start off with what Shlomo calls a very immature first hour. It began with us talking about the Human Centipede as well as Toy Story 3. Somehow the conversation morphed into dolphin dicks. We then discussed Rob's experiences at the community pool he just joined. In the second hour, we actually got into a conversation about music, with a talk on the over-gentrification of metal. Immediately after, we got a phone call from Sean's parents as well as a call from a Brit who lives in Arizona. We also heard a few new user submissions. RIP a Livecast #73 - Noa Likes Trunk Jobs [UPDATED]

E

This Week's Behind The ScenesNoa is back this week and Sean missed the show because he was at a show. We begin the show learning a little more about Noa's trip to Israel. We then discuss a viral video passed around this week called "Homosexuality is a Sin" and joke about the guy, and then bring out the I Love Doritos video clip. Who else wants some Doritos? Noa then discusses how she traded looks with Eminem at Sirius. We play a few new user submissions from Mammoth Commander, Cancerscare and Maigaard. That and the Eminem talk inspired us to play an old comedy bit we did on our college radio show, called 8 Inch. Noa was not in the studio, but called in from Israel, telling us some shockingly interesting tales of visiting museums with her family. She will be back in the studio next week. Additionally, we learn more about Sean's nipples, get some new contributions from Cancerscare and a new amazing Livecast/Bolt Thrower mashup from longtime listener Anselm (Blight Worm) which had us laughing so hard we were choking. RIP a Livecast #71 - Japanese Fanny Pack

E

This week was the first week since the early beginnings of the show where Noa wasn't a part of it due to other commitments. That's right. This week was a total sausage fest! After a bit of a rough start, Rob, 3D, Sid and Sean got things rolling with talk of jalapeno poppers and then moved to how Rob chews. You can hear his chewing in high quality audio this episode. We also get more calls from Shlomo and a few new callers with not much to say. Then, we get a call from a dude who's sister turned him onto the show, and then the sister showed us her Facebook, and turned us on. Heyo! Cancerscare also submitted a recap of last week's episode and a Sheik/NIN mashup. We also hear our first contribution from MammothCommander. Good times!Normally this is where we include this week's show playlist, but for the first time ever, there was no music break. So all talk for you! "There's a lot of sex on this episode," Darren explained at one point in the show; he was not lying. This week Jenny joins us on the show and we immediately begin talking about Rob's pubes. Somehow the conversation then moves to Jenny's tits and then takes a turn for the hilarious. We somehow end up talking about Rob's favorite porno, Ass Burpers II: Electric Boogaloo. Sean joined the show in the second hour, at which point Jenny tried to get him to take his shirt off. We got a caller from New Zealand; we finally listened to Luke's favorite band on Thrash It or Trash It, Burnt Among The Ashes. Also, we did another stunning rendition of Thrash It or Trash It where we heard the following bands: Ill Disposed, Dawn of Demise, Amarna Reign, Blind Witness, Eddie Kim, a Bulgarian Idol contestant, Enyo Falls, Towers of Veritas, and Vince Shlomi Hooker Beating Experience. RIP a Livecast #66 - Shlomo Says What?!

E

This edition of RIP a Livecast was taken over by a long time listener, first time caller by the name of Shlomo. Shlomo is a fellow Brooklynite and a fellow Jew. He is a brave young soul who let us know about his family, his school, his thoughts on Arizona and more. We spend some time playing a bunch of hilarious new Iron Sheik clips, Rob talks about being in Times Square for the bomb scare and we get another special appearance from JCVD who reveals what he's been up to the last few weeks. RIP a Livecast #64 - Happy Bingday Noa!

E

On this edition of RIP a Livecast we celebrate Noa's 67th birthday. We tried to get all the callers to sing Noa the Happy Birthday song. Mid-way through the show, we serenaded Noa with our own hxc version of the Happy Birthday song. Also, Darren apparently is now endorsing Bing, we learn about a 4/20 rally that Jenny attended, we ask Sid and Darren how much they would need to be paid to cross over to the dark side. RIP a Livecast #60 - Lambskin Sacks

E

This Rob-and-Darren-free episode will be remembered for two things: The gang finding out what nugget porn is and the gang reading Rob's old Livejournal entries. That's right, we invaded that fuck's privacy because he's in Texas and we're not. It was hilarious, download that shit and thank us later. Also, do you like squirters? We have salvaged that audio from the shitty blog talk stream. Starting with the first music break the audio is back to normal. E

This Week's Livecast Behind the Scenes shot moments before the show startedThis week on the Livecast, we were joined by Axl Rosenberg of MetalSucks and Rich Hall, promoter of 1000 KNIVES hanging out for the entire show. Rich was a little confused at first on if we were on air or not. He also assumed all the callers' names were Darren. But we got through it anyway, getting a bunch of random calls from people with juggalo hate, Emmure hatred, and we got a call from a devoted listener from Venezuela. We played Thrash It or Trash It and heard Malevolent, Milosony, George Costanza Is Brutal. This Week's Behind The Scenes – Shot Before the showOn this edition of the Livecast, we have a return visitor, Jenny aka JTussy. On this edition of the Livecast, we had three guests on the air, our friends Loni, Justina and Sean. We had a bunch of interesting callers, including another Noah (with an H), who also happened to be from Rockford, IL. Why is it that every time Loni is on the air with us, we get Rockford callers? We heard some WalMart customer service nightmare stories, talked about supergroups (or super groups), we learned about Mike Portnoy collaborating with AVENGED SEVENFOLD. RIP a Livecast #55 - Rob vs. Booze (now w/Bonus Footage)

E

What happened on this snowy edition of RIP a Livecast? Well, Rob drank. A lot. He vowed to drink a shot of vodka every time we got another caller and so he did. And the callers held up their end of the bargain by calling in more times than any other show that didn't feature a special musical guest. Rob did around 18 shots. So yeah, it was a hilarious trainwreck. Download it and listen to it once for every shot Rob did. It's the least you can do! Also, one random dude photoshops a photo of Noa in an odd position (Update: We took down the link because I guess we have some decency or something -Rob). On this edition of the Livecast, Rob shows up an hour late. In other news, the 1st hour of the show is probably the best first hour in our history. There is another edition of Thrash It or Trash It, where we judge unsigned bands. During the second hour, we get a phone call from IN THIS MOMENT vocalist Maria Brink and talk to her about the band's headlining tour, being surrounded by dudes, hanging out with Ozzy and Dave Mustaine and more.
