E

Unfortunately, we are not around this week to record a new episode. We will be back to our regularly scheduled fart jokes next week, but until then enjoy this little mixtape of some of our favorite recent interviews. You will hear our interview with Greg Puciato from the Dillinger Escape Plan, the "Iron Sheik" confronting MMA fighter Josh Barnett, Suicide Silence playing everybody's favorite game show, Death or No Death and a surprise call to Greg Weeks of the Red Chord as per request by one of our callers, Pizza Destroyer. We'll see you guys next week!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.Support the show: http://patreon.com/ripalivecast Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

RIP a Livecast #125 - Dr. Driedel

E

This edition of the Livecast began with stories. Sean told a story about how he took a shitty cooking class and then Rob told a story about being invited to a murder mystery party. In the second hour, we got on the phone with Garrett Weinstein, who drew that awesome comic with Rob in it and he told us about some of his other works (which you could look at here PBOTB.com). At the end of the show, Pizza Destroyer called in and asked us when we would have a member of The Red Chord on so that he can ask an urgent sounding question. So we called Greg Weeks to give The Pizza his opportunity. The resulting interaction was hilarious, and an all-time great Livecast moment. Greg also revealed what date he will come down to cohost show, so stay tuned for that. The show ends with Rob laughing far too long and too weird. We may have broken a record for the amount of time we spent talking about poop with this edition of the Livecast. We started the show talking about wiping preferences, the length of our poops and other fecal matters (HEY YO!). We also played Thrash It or Trash It, where we played Tormenta, Dead In The Dirt, Quarter The Villian, Wage Slave, Baptized In Flames, Priapus, Goddess Gagged, The Death Slyzer. Axl recalls his experience interacting with pride parade walkers, and later in the show we bring Mrs. Divatelli back on the show to discuss her experiences at the parade. Sean brings up Rob's interview skills, his silver jacket and his interview with William Shatner. RIP a Livecast #122 - Clog 'Em & Leave 'Em w/Avi of Magrudergrind

E

On this edition of the Livecast, we finally heard back from one of our longtime listeners, Shlomo. He had some questions for us, but it was a bit hard to understand. Also, Rob gets a call from a fellow Chromeo fan. We also talked about the tragic death of Ryan Dunn and the aftermath of his death. We played some new songs, sure to become memes like "I Don't Want To Be A Crappy Housewife", Kreayshawn and Azis from Bulgeria. We learned of CrippleWithSwag, a girl who is handicapped but let's us know that her vaginal area isn't. In hour 2, we were joined by Avi from Magrudergrind, and learned of his Euro booking agents, his side-project with Sean, his love of Chromeo and many more interesting facts. He joined us in the second hour, and in the first hour we spent some time talking about the new Morbid Angel record, we imitated Noa since she was not here for that hour, going deaf from not wearing earplugs at shows. Rob also called out Sean for "not minding" Chromeo, but Sean defended himself saying he was just listening to it to get laid. RIP a Livecast #118 - $80,000 USD

E

On this edition of the Livecast our good buddy Loni sat in for Sean who chose to go see Converge. We quickly introduce Loni and remind listeners about his Livecast "claim to fame." Rob then discusses an email exchange he had with the owners of a certain website, when he tried to place a bid to purchase the website. We discussed the sad passing of "Macho Man" Randy Savage leading to a tangential conversation about wrestling, including Loni's favorite wrestler Haku/Meng. We hoped that Macho Man could be resurrected by Zelda Rubinstein (you get to find out who she is by listening). After the first music break, we played Thrash It or Trash It basically trashing all the music we heard from the following bands: This Beast, Dopethrone, Apocryphaband, Man Will Surrender. We got off on a tangent about Noa wanting to have a baby within the next two years, which inspired a potential Twitter contest. Darren also smelled Noa's foot (video of this above). We discussed Noa's article about Middle Eastern metal bands leading to a fun game of coming up with Middle-Eastern band names. The show wrapped up with some Mastertweet Theater that may have gone on a little too long. RIP a Livecast #117- The Radio Adds Four Years

E

This edition of the Livecast begins with some talk about the Arnold Schwarzenegger sex scandal. This leads to "Arnold" himself popping in throughout the show to defend himself. Eventually, Rob, Noa and Sean talk about their experience at The Dillinger Escape Plan show earlier this week. After the music break, we were joined by MMA fighter and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett. We talked about his upcoming benefit show for Japan earthquake victims on May 26th at the House of Blues in L.A. featuring All Shall Perish, Animals As Leaders, Cattle Decapitation, Abysmal Dawn, Internal Corrosion and Thrown Into Exile. We took a few callers, and Josh was eventually confronted by The Iron Shiek resulting in a hilarious verbal exchange. We wrap up the show talking about sex lives that podcast hosts lead. On this episode of the Livecast, Frank joins the group and helps Rob and Noa recall their Rammstein experience. We talk about bagel store deficiency and how Rob spent his time at jury duty. In celebration of Mayhem Month, we are then joined by Matt Heafy, frontman of Trivium. He reveals that the band's upcoming album title will start with a vowel, gives advice to young bands and tells us what he likes to eat around the world. We end the show by learning what Sean likes to use to read his literature. This edition of RIP a Livecast starts very bin Laden heavy. We all talk about our opinions and we listen to the opinion of a roided up American. We also imagined what a stoned Osama would sound like. After the music break, we discussed this story about this goat fucker, and then played another rousing edition of Porno Mad Libs. We ended the show reading some tweets from the Iron Shiek as part of MasterShiek Tweetheater. RIP a Livecast returns this week with more random stories and a continuation of Mayhem Month. We start the show with Rob defending his honor about watching Gigolos. He also shares some stories about his trip to the sunset strip and the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. We also learn about experimenting Sean did with a girlfriend and some hot sauce in college. Later we were joined by guitarist Ben Orum of All Shall Perish. He talked about his band's upcoming release, This Is Where It Ends. Due in mid July while the band is on the road for Rockstar Mayhem Fest. He also spoke to some very excited All Shall Perish fans. RIP a Livecast #113- Didgeri-Don't

E

On this very hazy edition of RIP a Livecast Rob was sent off on assignment to cover the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. The rest of the gang naturally starts the show off by discussing their bowel movements, because that's what people want to hear. Noa and Jenny then talk about their Friday night watching the show Gigolos and the trauma that ensued. We got a call from Luke in Australia who told us a joke that led to a very regretful conversation. We also went over Metallica's video for Memory Remains and didgeridoos. We get really high, some of us second hand in celebration of 420. Noa picks the cuts for the PROG ROCK BLOCK music break inspired by the book MEAN DEVIATION: Four Decades of Progressive Heavy Metal by Jeff Wagner. Here is the playlist:Devin Townsend -RegulatorBlotted Science –Brain FingerprintingDeath -Vacant PlanetsPsychotic Waltz -In This PlaceCynic -Celestial VoyageVoivod -Order of the BlackguardsFates Warning -Static ActsWatchtower –Hidden InstinctsRush -A Passage to Bangkok See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.Support the show: http://patreon.com/ripalivecast Hosted on Acast. Even though this week's Livecast was without Noa and Sean, it was still all over the place. We were of course joined by Buz McGrath of Unearth, about 45 minutes into the show. Buz talked about the band's upcoming release, including revealing the title of the record. He also spoke about touring this summer on the Mayhem Fest (enter our ticket giveaway) and more. Besides Buz, we spent time talking about Vinnie Paul giving the thumbs up to things, we paid tribute to Peter Steele a year after his death, we learned about Jenny's sexcapades with other women, we talked about the new Showtime show, Gigolos and we played the new single from Bangs, Hi Hater, which sounds like he's saying hello to a certain Nazi. Put on your fancy pajamas, because it's time to take a look back at the best moments of 2010 with the second annual Livecast Awards. We also saw some very special appearances from the likes of Danzig, Evil Bill Cosby, Thor Shredsteen, Patrick Swayze, JCVD and more! Congratulations to all the winners.Want to download the songs? RIP a Livecast #109 - Kiss My Mezuzah

E

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we had to push the Awards episode back one week, but still delivered a hilarious episode. Rob discussed some SXSW highlights including being invited to a High Times tasting party, almost getting stranded at a BBQ joint and seeing Chromeo live. Rob then bonds with a caller over the ganj. After the music break, Darren recites a recent statement Dave Mustaine made, and it was more classic Mustaine. We then read the Danzig story we posted about earlier today, and a new recurring character was born. We then try to start a new segment, Laying Down The Pipe with the Livecast Sex Crew Sexperts, which in the end just made Sean and Noa uncomfortable. RIP a Livecast #108- We Get The Party Going With Andrew WK

E

On this festive night of RIP a Livecast, Rob was away doing his thing at SXSW in Texas while the rest of us did a live podcast. The celebration started with a conversation about Noa's dog and his sexual orientation then animal porn and vile things that are done to horses. We naturally digress to a conversation about the Golden Girls, Phil Donahue, Geraldo then critique The Situation's poor comedy routine. We take a short music break and come back with the party guru himself Andrew WK. We break the ice and ask Andrew WK if he heard Sid & Rob talk about him last week. He did and was very gracious about his response to the floating allegations. Soon after we learn about Andrew WK's wardrobe, analyze Sid's anti-fun personality, explore Andrew's fandom for Nicolas Cage, get schooled on the Michigan grindcore, power violence scene and find out Andrew's death metal roots. Lot's more happened and before the interview ends we get a personal invite from Andrew WK to come back to his venue Santos Party House in New York City at any time. When we come back from our second music break we explain to a 'first time- long time' listener who Allen is then we begin Master Tweet Theater but this time with Gilbert Gottfried's too soon Japanese jokes. Some more happened but at this point your download should be done, so just listen to it. Here is what we played on our music breaks. We dedicated them to Japan by only playing Japanese bands (with the exception of the one Andrew WK track):Loudness– Crazy NightsBoris– The Woman on the ScreenFuck on the Beach– Something I don't wanna knowTeengenerate– Dressed in BlackAndrew WK– Party HardSwarrrm– Never BelieveHi-Standard– Asian PrideHusking Bee– ♯4Unholy Grave– Mental DiseaseSigh- A Sunset SongS.O.B– Fuck or DieBlotto- GoodbyeMelt-Banana– One DimensionalSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.Support the show: http://patreon.com/ripalivecast Hosted on Acast. RIP a Livecast #107 - Buttered Robba

E

This edition sees Rob return to the show while 3D is out in Vegas and not in the studio. We begin the show with Rob venting about what went down in his absence last week, followed by a brief discussion of where exactly he was last week. Then, Jenny told a story about her neighbor writing weird letters to Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman only to receive a call from Morgan Freeman himself. We played our next great soundbite, about the Enema Man and the Snoopy Snoopy Poop Dog. Jenny then tells a grandma story, which reminds us that this day was the anniversary of the death of the Notorious B.I.G., so we got Shlomo to rap some Biggie lyrics, but it didn't work out so great. After the break, Rob and Sid discussed spotting Andrew WK at a show the night before. The Pizza Destroyer called in and let us sample some of his standup comedy and we gave him some tips. We then played a Russian edition of Thrash It or Trash It all submitted by a junkie from St. Petersburg named Igor. We listened to music from Emily Rose, Autoscan, Maria Abort Chosen, My Autumn & The Wheels of Sorrow. We wrapped up the show by playing another Ross Gnarly user submission followed by a call from Torje in Norway.Don't forget to vote in the Livecast Awards and like us on Facebook. RIP a Livecast #103 - RAWR! This Is The Lion

E

We kick things off this week discussing the atrocious Black Eyed Peas performance at the Super Bowl. We then segued into a conversation about Noa's new bathroom odor-preventing device. This somehow transitioned to a conversation about the new Emmure video, which itself transitioned to people judging others based on their taste in music. This eventually evolved into a conversation about peeing tactics and golden showers, which is always fun. After the music break, we played Cast Pick Thrash It or Trash It, where each of us played a track for the rest of us and three guest caller judges. RIP a Livecast #102 - What Was The Coma About? with Seth Putnam of ANALCUNT

E

The Livecast has returned after taking a week off, and it was jam packed with offensive content. We began the show with Rob, Frank and Noa talking about their experiences on the 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise. Somehow the conversation escalated to what the most random place each of us masturbated that wasn't our home. After the music break, we were stood up Seth Putnam for a while. RIP a Livecast Throwback: Pre-Livecast Demos

E

Since Rob and Noa are on the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise, there is no new Livecast tonight. Instead of getting together another mixtape, we decided to compile a collection of clips from the show we did that was a precursor to the Livecast, our show in college, which we called The Worst Radio Show In The World. Rob and 3D were the hosts, and Sid and Noa would sit in sometimes. Here is a summary of the clips we included in this throwback:– Mrs. Divatelli discusses smoking cigarettes.– Rob had a tendency to say "like" a lot so we decided to play "The Like Game", where we counted each time he said like.– A sexual harassment prank– Sid berated a punk kid for liking The Casualties– Our coverage of the Iraqi war with our correspondent in the field, Ethan.– Rob, 3D and Sid do porn director's commentary– We discuss the Kurt & Courtney documentary– Some George W. Bush mockerySee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.Support the show: http://patreon.com/ripalivecast Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

RIP a Livecast #101 - Fat Lizard 3 Hour Special w/Oderus Urungus of GWAR In The Studio

E

What an episode of RIP a Livecast this was! We kicked things off with Rob describing a stoned excursion to buy clothes for the metal cruise, which we then spent a good amount of time talking about. Rob and Noa discussed what they are looking forward to and then predicted what sort of live blogging they would be doing. (Sidenote: We will be liveblogging from the cruise all next week.) After that we spent some time discussing a procedure Noa is considering. We took a music break and returned with a new soundbite that Sid and 3D discovered of Rush Limbaugh and it was immediately inducted into our Soundbite Hall of Fame, by which we mean we played it for 10 minutes straight with other soundbites. It was awesome. We spent some time discussing Nergal's recent recovery and how what a typical day in his life is like nowadays. We then listened to some music from Nergal's current girlfriend, Doda. Up next was a Livecast Metal News Update. Somehow that spawned a conversation about the ethnicity of Alex Skolnick.Following the second music break, we were joined by the one and only Oderus Urungus of GWAR. To say Oderus was incredibly intoxicated would be a huge understatement. It began with twenty minutes of complete randomness that made very little sense. It was weird and hilarious. Once the dust settled, Dave Brockie started telling us some great stories of seeing Courtney Love shoot up in the Eighties, playing the Gathering of the Juggalos, growing up in the DC hardcore scene (including incredible stories of his experiences with the likes of Henry Rollins & Ian MacKaye), the death of the hardcore scene, and so much more. RIP a Livecast #100 - One Hundred Episodes, Zero Class (w/Greg Puciato of DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN and Greg & Gunface of THE RED CHORD)

E

On this very momentous 100th edition of RIP a Livecast, we were joined by some very special guests. We started the show talking about the recent shooting in Arizona. Sean then told us about his recent experiences doing jury duty. About a half hour into the show, we had our first guest on the show, Greg Puciato of The Dillinger Escape Plan, who answered a wide range of questions about working out tips, Dave Mustaine stories and some very revealing info about his and Dillinger's future plans. We took a music break and were joined by two of the world's greatest men, Greg Weeks and Gunface of The Red Chord who talked even less about metal than Greg Puciato. Gunface had some problems with his phone which were eventually resolved, but they eventually talked about their jingles, Gunface's new career as a voiceover artist, Greg selling his beard and much more. After the call, we heard our first news report from our new correspondent "The Ripper" before ending the show with two classic bits. Click Here To Watch The VideoThis Week's Behind The ScenesWe begin the show with Noa talking about some Wikipedia trolling she experienced over the weekend. We then talked about our New Year's Eve. Rob told a story about throwing his first party. We then got a call from Josh in PA who made us start listening to Monster Ballad commercials. Then, GoregrindWalugi called in and painfully serenaded us with a ballad. Afterwards, we speak to Shlomo, who told us about a pretty gross porn site and then was distracted by his mother who kept asking who was on the phone. Shlomo also let us know his mother thinks we're pedophiles. How nice of her! After the music break, we went over some of the categories and nominations for the 2nd annual Livecast Awards. We concluded the show with Thrash It or Trash It featuring music from Altess, Evil Dear, The Roman Holiday, and Dismissed. RIP a Livecast #98 - DeCox [UPDATED]

E

This edition of RIP a Livecast happened during the great snowpocalypse of 2010. Sid was unable to make the show and 3D made it just a few minutes into the show. We all shared stories about how much we hate the snow. Sid eventually called in, and we also got a great call from Evan in Norway who was hanging out with Thor Shredsteen evidently. Rob then mentioned how he fulfilled his promise to Sean that he would get laid before the end of the year, which the rest of the crew asked him about. We then got a call from a dude in Australia who told us a story about being kicked out of the backstage area of a Megadeth show. After the music break, we played a new Shlomo tribute by Groban, and then get Shlomo's opinion on it. We concluded the show discussing how long we've gone without taking a shower. RIP a Livecast #97 - Self-Savatage With A Portable Massager

E

On this pre-Christmas edition of RIP a Livecast, Sean didn't even say a word! But Rob, 3D, Noa and Sid just couldn't shut up. We began the show listening to a new tune from the "Rent Is Too Damn High" party leader Jimmy McMillian. We then stumbled into a fantastic conversation about masturbation and watching porn at young ages. We each recalled stories about teen self-discovery. The conversation somehow morphed into a talk about golden shower porn and then fight porn. In the second hour, we discuss Mike Portnoy trying to rejoin Dream Theater, Fat Mike's recent tweets about Megadeth and we find the new Christmas classic tune from an old friend. We concluded the show with a new user submission and some OG hip hop. E

This week, Rob, 3D, Noa, Sid and Sean were joined by the extremely talkative Paul from TheApparat.us, who dropped some controversial bombs on the rest of us. At the start of the show, we heard what Rob's goatee sounds like when it's mic'd. We then talked about Sean's new tattoo, which you can see to your right. We received calls from junkies in Australia, India and a British sounding dude from Arizona proving we are an international Livecast. We spent some time on circumcisions. Then we found out that Sean didn't get his tattoo yet. Later on in the show, The Iron Sheik showed up to rip Sean a new asshole about that, as well as talking about Wiki Leaks and the anniversary of the death of Dimebag Darrell. We then played the WORST cover of Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" ever. After the music break, we played all of our amazing entries for the Shlomo remix contest. RIP a Livecast #92 - That's Shaveable

E

This week on the Livecast, we began the show talking about all the broads Sean boned. The talk quickly shifts to Rob meeting some chick at a show, and then the show seemingly morphed into Loveline. Rob then discussed the Suicidal Tendencies show and his opinions on Mike Muir. When we came back for the second hour, Sean had a crazy idea about a new contest that you can read about under the playlist. We then played a special version of Thrash It or Trash It, where each host picked a song and we got Shlomo, Mongoose Commander and Pizza Destroyer to judge the tracks. It came out awesome! We ended the show with a great story about a grandma and a wrestling promoter. What a return episode we have for you this week which also happens to be our Halloween edition. We started the episode talking about our CMJ show last week and how Rob and Noa met Shlomo in person. Shlomo called in, of course to give you his side of the story. We moved onto Sean telling a story of hanging out at a Chicago bar during the UFC ppv this weekend, and how he was instigating a fight with the meathead fans there. We brought up the Rent Is Too Damn High dude. After the music break, we talked about Noa's recent dance classes. Immediately following that, Shlomo called in and we somehow got him to serenade us with a stunning rendition of "Angel of Death" (or L.M.F.) by Slayer. We closed out the show with a little Thrash It or Trash It playing Al Gore (Is BROOTAL), Unforgiven, Lost Soul, Sirens and Serenades. Also, since this was the Halloween edition, we sprinkled pre-recorded segments with some of your favorite Livecast characters talking about what costumes they are wearing for Halloween! Here is this week's playlist:The Misfits – HalloweenEntombed – Hollywood BabylonColiseum – BulletSnapcase – SheRefused – BulletMarduk – Earth A.D.Integrity – Hybrid MomentsMetallica – Last Caress/Green HellDeadguy – Death Comes RippingOrange Goblin – We BiteSick Of It All – All Hell Breaks LooseThe Misfits – Halloween IISee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.Support the show: http://patreon.com/ripalivecast Hosted on Acast. It just hit you didn't it? There is no Livecast this week! Rob and Noa are at the CMJ showcase we've been plugging all month. Sid is at another show, 3D is in Atlantic City and Sean is…um, well who knows where Sean is? But, since we weren't here, we compiled another GREAT mixtape. We noticed lately, that we have a lot of new listeners so we decided to make this mixtape a mix of clips from recent episodes and then clips from much older episodes that some of you might have missed. Ultimately, it's just non-stop comedy. Here is what you can expect from this mixtape:– Sean discussing his prostate exams– Larry King singing "Poker Face"– JCVD's commercial for his off-off Broadway show, Death of a Salesman– A reading of Dave Mustaine's autobiography by "Dave Mustaine"– A visit from Santa Clause last Christmas– Rob talking about his visit to a Russian bath house– A call from MI junkie "metalfifa" requesting RED GORD MERGE– Death or No Death III– Thor Shredsteen and his girlfriend Antanella talking about ObamacareSo have a laugh and come back next week for an all new Metal Injection Livecast!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.Support the show: http://patreon.com/ripalivecast Hosted on Acast. On this edition of RIP a Livecast, we welcome a friend of ours, Rich Hall of 1000KNIVES. We started off the show discussing about a photo of Sean and Rich Hall on Brooklyn Vegan. Sid then shares a story about going to a party at his girlfriend's boss's house. Then, we get into a vicious cycle of conversations about man parts. This episode also features the return of Death or No Death which featured a surprise winner. We also read another excerpt from Dave Mustaine's autobiography about the time he was a drug dealer as a kid.
