Ep 100Episode 100: Vote Jamie McGlue

I am running for elected office! Ireland is in crisis. Europe is in crisis. The West is in crisis. The Earth is in crisis. You might think we deserve this or that it doesn't matter, but both are wrong – both are untrue and unjust to proclaim. The systems of liberty and limited government upon which you and I have depended for almost every joy we have been graced to experience, are now under extremee pressure from a combination of confusion, incompetence, ideology, corruption and psychopathy. We need not get ourselves worked up and divided over the cause; let us focus on solving. Gaelic Awakening is a new political party in Ireland for whom I will be running for office, to shift the political conversation to the true sources of our sufferings, and hopefully to take power on behalf of awareness, to connect soulful and sane philosophy to the high peaks of politics so that our destinies shall not be wasted upon the unlearnt lessons of yesterday but instead given with consciousness and triumph to our own highest callings – to peace, to love, to living in whatever way one chooses so long as allowing others the same right. Will you help me? Registering (for free!) as a member at www.gaelicawakening.ie will help give me the numbers to officially appear on the ballot papers in the coming elections and so give me a voice to raise issues the status quo have been so long dodging or clouding with lies and omissions. Even if you only agree with me on a few core issues, if you believe in personal liberty you are welcome in Gaelic Awakening and by joining will boost dicussion of these vital issues, so truth can set us free. You can be a member of another party, even vote for them, or you can seek to roll up your sleeves and help me take back our birthright; either way, I gratefully embrace your help. Ireland being my home, I am rising to serve our local awakening to truth and sovereignty, but I am also a human being and extend the hand of friendship to all around the world in search of the same liberty and soul. Wherever you are, I encourage you to stand for truth. Information on the policies and principles of the party is available at gaelicawakening.ie

Ep 99Episode 99: Ninety-nine Problems (But There's Only One)

On one level there are many problems that confront us; some being life and death, torture and freedom. But ultimately there is only one problem: believing that problems exist. For in truth there is only the Now, including those things out of power to change (which the sane simply accept) and those things in our power to change – which the sane carefully but playfully guide and control, modifying and creating, empowered by alignment with life. Yet the plot twist is that even this problem of believing in problems is itself not a problem! It merely is as it is; from the highest perspective, whether you fall for this illusion or not, the universe and your higher self remain always inevitably and invincibly at peace. Amen!

Ep 98Episode 98: Assume You Can

When in doubt, assume you can do it – whatever it is. Happiness and success arise from having the wisdom to ask the question 'Is this thing within my power?' and if it is not, then to leave it be and fully accept – even embrace – it. Or if you decide you do indeed have control over the thing in question, then act and wield that power as wisely as you can. Once we are already on a path of action, it is purely beneficial to assume we can do what we aim to, and purely self-destructive to question one's ability at all. We can keep an eye out for new information that might cause us to change path, but otherwise we must focus on our task and cultivate the belief that we shall achieve our goal. Living like this makes us happier and more successful, which takes pressure off of others, making life easier for all.

Ep 97Episode 97: Humility

Being down to earth is heavenly high! Thankfully a big part of humility is being humble enough to accept that you're not perfectly humble yet. These things take time, and you are not God! (So to speak.) In all aspects of life, from learning, to leadership, to true kindness, our ability to help ourselves and others depends so deeply upon how well we can keep in mind that we may not know everything and we may not be able to overcome our limits. With this accepted in our hearts, our full potential becomes open to us, to strive our best.

Ep 96Episode 96: Criticism, Suspicion And Complaining

Negative energy is that which shrinks the potential of life for creativity, higher-order complexity, harmonious interconnectedness, and the experience of love, joy and being. Positive energy is that which uplifts, expands, grounds, nourishes and enlivens the living. But there is a time and place for negativity; sometimes it is healthy and even inevitable to feel or express negative emotion, words and actions. Criticising and complaining can be a trap and egoic indulgence in one's addiction to negativity and its sense of being right; but these can also be done consciously so as to communicate what is fair and so restore order and balance in a system of people or things. Suspicion is more subtle, being the critiquing one explores within oneself as potential grounds for criticism, complaint or resistance. This too is healthy as a response to true danger and injustice – to notice it – but can easily get out of hand. Especially in public communication, we should err on the side of trust, for this will often be jusitified, or sometimes will even be false but paradoxically become true.

Ep 95Episode 95: Why You Really Want A Relationship

Companionship, affection, romance, sex; it can all come from casual connections. But a true long-term relationship offers all this and more: not only in spite of, but also because of the difficulties of adjusting one's ego and habits to the ways of another wilful individual, living together inevitably means learning and growing together. Not only from inspiration and example but from the necessary patience, negotiation, empathy, kindness and respect that a relationship demands in order to remain happy and nourishing. Where a couple is out of sync, they must determine if the subject of disagreement is merely divergent wants or if it relates to needs; does it relate to the non-negotiable core essence of one's nature? These we must accept, or else walk away. But where mere wants are concerned, through honest conversation in search of truth, harmony can always be found; and so we grow.

Ep 92Episode 92: Why Nihilism Doesn't Make Sense

Nihilists argue nothing really matters; there is no right and wrong, no meaning, no love. It is all a grand and pointless illusion, they say. But there are three problems with this. One, they don't act like they believe it – for they get unhappy if you cause them pain. Two, the costs of nihilism greatly outweigh the benefits to oneself and the world. Three, nihilism is an assumption lacking enough evidence for its claims; it makes no better sense of the data of experience than belief systems professing meaning, love, purpose, goodness and beauty, and in fact a closer look at what we know indicates far more reason to believe Good exists.

Ep 88Episode 88: What Is Culture? (& Why Should You Care?)

Culture is the beliefs and behaviours of a society. What do we think is true or false, and good or bad? How do we convert such thinking into action, habit, custom, etiquette? But one's own personality is in essence an individual culture, while the family, community, town or city, country, continent and world constitute larger scale cultures. Each person within a culture is unique, yet far more similar to their fellows than those on the outside. Just as it is usually impossible to rank best-to-worst the various personalities in a friend circle, the same is true for cultures at large: we have our intuitions, but mostly these are open-ended experiments in what does and doesn't work for our survival and flourishing. I contend that absorbing and integrating culture (especially true art) is not only in our self-interest but also a responsibility for any human being wishing to uplift existence. Culture must always be adapting, keeping the wise and letting go off that which no longer serves. You and I can be beautiful servants in this sacred mission, in ways big and small, to help.

Ep 86Episode 86: Learning From Other Cultures

Just as individuals in a circle of friends help one another grow by supporting but daring to draw attention to blindspots, cultures at large (families, creeds, cities, countries, regions) too can strike this joyful and enriching balance of being inspired by friends and inspiring in turn, each offering and accepting the gifts of our unique angle on belief and behaviour; and crucially, refraining from judging others as inferior simply by virtue of being different. Some things are clearly right or wrong, but so much is just a matter of personal expression.

Ep 85Episode 85: The Power Of Positive Language

Words run the world; they are a powerful agent of change equally able to uplift to the good or pull down to the bad. We can use words wisely to alter our perspective, emotion, habits. But if we are not careful the words we use use us, blindfolding the soul in their concepts and causing us harm. This episode goes into how one can use words as "magic spells" to modify our psychology and thus physiology and behaviour by focusing the mind upon certain words and their associated ideas and feelings; also, how to be practical with one's use of language when negativity arises; and finally how this connects to spiritual sanity.

Ep 84Episode 84: Burn The Bureaucracy

"The bureaucracy is expanding to meet the needs of the expanding bureaucracy." Quite. This quote sums up the problem when a system of offices and officers are allowed to rule over society on taxpayer funding, making rules and restriction, providing goods and services, yet never having to face the disciplining justice of liberty via the free market. Our world – particularly the West – has increasingly been struggling under the weight of a most misguided expansion of the state apparatus into the realm of the economy. While at this point in history I agree we need a state to provide laws, courts, police, prisons, military, politicians and bureaucrats, I believe we would be wise to keep them to their rightful role of enforcing the non-aggression principle (be free while letting others be free; so no harm) and come to our collective senses and begin to demand a shrinking of the state with the end goal of either a much lighter government intervention in the economy, or none at all. How simple it'd be to enjoy a society of minimalist bureaucracy! How much do we need?

Ep 83Episode 83: Why There's A Riot In Dublin

Tragedy upon tragedy. A brutal stabbing of children today has sparked a massive riot in the city of Dublin, with police being attacked, vehicles burned and shops looted. While the core of this violence and criminality is surely hooliganism and young impoverished people looking for some mayhem and an enemy they can enjoy fighting, equally we would be wise to see that deeper issues have fuelled this riot and indeed Irish politicians must look themselves in the mirror and assess what they can do to begin addressing the underlying reasons for grievance, distrust and anger among the Irish public. This crisis demands all rational observers do their utmost to see as many sides of the story as possible, to come to a place of understanding upon which genuine healing and stability can be built. The truth is Ireland has been treated poorly by its government for a long time, and this played a crucial part in allowing this terrible, inexcusable violence to unfold. Children are wounded and one child is in grave danger; so may we focus on positive thoughts and wishes for them and upon that pure energy lay the groundwork for dialogue, honesty and self-examination.

Ep 80Episode 80: Pendulum Of Balance

Here cometh a few things exemplifying the pendulumic nature of existence and progress. Ambition, religion, sexuality, gender, kindness, independence, truth – all serve to suggest this pattern. Ep 78Episode 78: Punishing Peoples For Their Governments

The biggest crimes by far have always been by governments. Throughout history everywhere and still now in the present moment of our time on Earth, the terrible crimes of dark and unhinged individuals pale in comparison with the atrocities committed by governments equally against their own people as well as against those of other countries. Yet governments find it extremely advantageous to confuse us to this fact, and revel in the ambiguity between state and country; a conflation which is made all the more appealing during times of stress, struggle, conflict and limited attention – such as governments also find extremely advantageous to perpetuate. But we the people must make a radical change, to see our commonality with foreign peoples and to unite in opposition to state overreach. The individuals manning the organs of state must not be despised or made into an other, yet we must reassert sovereignty over these armed bureaucracies which have committed crime after crime until the present day and would seemingly like nothing more than world war and the increasing enslavement of free human beings to the whims of intrusive rulers. So with love, understanding, inner peace and courage – let us not punish whole peoples for the actions of their so-called representatives in power, but unite in a populist wave to wash away corruption and avarice from governments everywhere. This begins with not falling for divisive campaigns for war, nor domestic witch-hunts. Bit by bit, we can unite.

Ep 77Episode 77: Contextual Virtue

While we can and must agree on certain standards for human behaviour, I feel it is often overlooked how one's context affects the question of virtue and moral excellence. If you are born into the mafia but do your best to err on the side of kindness within your world, then you seem to be showing greater moral effort than one who is born into a family who value and practise humanitarian, socially conscious existence – if that person fails to ever grow and aspire to be better for the sake of uplifting the world. Such a dynamic reveals itself to us everywhere we look, and by keeping it in mind we may just open the door to a greater empathy, peacefulness, pragmatism and spiritual unity. No one is perfect, so let us not rest on our laurels judging those born in darker times and places, but do our best to be deemed worthy of even those enlightened future humans whose standards we can hope will be far loftier than our own, as life evolves ever higher toward awareness and harmony.

Ep 75Episode 75: Imagine Your Entourage

The imagination is there to be used and this episode invites us to conjure up a host of cool characters of our own choice and design who might inspire and influence us to be better livers of life. Whether it's imagining Leonard Cohen or the Buddha or Grace O'Malley giving off their vibes or even the words we imagine they would offer, or be it abstract principles personified – courage, kindness, endurance, hope, clarity, humour, etc. – it is in our power to consciously use the imagination to counteract the negative influences it is anyway daily exerting on us unconsciously as a result of social programming, inherited trauma and the maladaptive neuroses and coping mechanisms we have automatised. The mind can be a slippery rainbow fish – so why not anchor its elements into faces we can talk to, tell to take a hike, beckon closer or bounce ideas off. Now I wouldn't fancy living like this for any great stretch, but I'm gonna try it out for a week and see how it goes! Feel free to join me and enjoy a break from the status quo of your usual self-talk and experience. Who knows, maybe you'll find sides of yourself you didn't realise were even within reach.

Ep 74Episode 74: Javier Milei For El Presidente

Javier Milei is predicted to win Argentina's presidential election on October 22nd, and after checking him out I am very impressed with his presence and his principles. His recipe to reverse the staggering economic decline of his nation is to shrink the state and restore its resourcres and power to the people. For liberty is the core and foundation of not only our happiness but also peace and prosperity. Unfortunately, governments all round the world have become ever more controlling and socialist – intervening in our economic life in an attempt (often corrupt, but sometimes genuine) to improve the conditions in society by forcibly reallocating resources. Yet the ideals of socialism are only possible through the mechanism of capitalism – free markets, private property, the non-aggression principle. Classical liberalism, or 'libertarianism', sees the state as the protector of these conditions and as a destructive parasite whenever it grows beyond this healthy limit of purpose. Just as with RFK Jr. in the USA, Mr Milei seeks to bring the bureaucracy back into line, which is what we need in all countries. I wish Argentines the best of luck in rediscovering their freedom, prosperity and the pride it rightfully restores. May we all join such a movement!

Ep 73Episode 73: Perfectionism

Life and you and me and even perfection aren't perfect – but that's perfect! It's all perfectly imperfect, the best it can be given that it is what it is. But apart from the mystical heights where all is seen as as it should be (which consciousness propels what is to loftier levels), imperfection also helps us learn and helps us experience the ups and downs of the world. Perfectionism is where we allow our healthy desire for excellence to stray into sickness by deceiving ourselves into thinking a given task deserves further attention when in fact our greater perfection-at-large in life requires us to give up that task and move onto the next. By allowing ourselves a mere 80% perfection in our tasks, we likely get 20% more done; which means our overall performance in life will improve. The jewel in the lotus flower!

Ep 71Episode 71: Invitation To Open Your Mind

This episode invites us to consider radical possibilities about what might actually be true. It presents several important yet controversial (and to some, far-fetched) ideas about the world which I invite you to reflect on and investigate with a sceptical but open mind. Some I know to be true, others I think are probably true, and still others might possibly be true. I also preamble this with a brief overview of critical thinking skills needed to parse through the many contradictory and opposing views on any given contentious subject. Most of all, my message here is that for most things in life we simply don't know the ultimate truth, but we can wisely embrace honesty and humility in this matter and so open ourselves to a clearer view which weighs up evidence and is comfortable with a very large "Maybe Pile". Talking is healthy, so let's open up the old mind and mouth and get sharing possibilities!

Ep 70Episode 70: Seven Ways To Get Out Of A Rut

You know the feeling. (Or I guess so.) You don't know where to go in life; be it the day or the year or from here to the grave. Maybe you don't even know why or if you really want to do anything at all; can't find the will to care enough to be logical and proactive. Never fear! Episode 70 is coming to the rescue – or I should say your own curiosity is coming to the rescue of your own apathy, inertia, disorientation. We briefly lay out seven ways to shift things up to get into a new groove and see what the day can offer. Namely: 1) Time Travel; 2) Changeling Swap; 3) Opposite Day; 4) Inspiration; 5) Journalling; 6) Drugs; 7) Socialise.

Ep 69Episode 69: Sexuality

Sex is essential, blissful, exciting, terrifying, dangerous, healing, downdragging or uplifting depending on the way one approaches it and embodies their sexuality, their sexual being. Much more than mere pleasure, or radical freedom of expression, sexuality touches upon deep issues of social cohesion and even civilisational survival, and so must be carefully balanced in the individual and the collective. Yet at its pinnacle, this primal connection between beings – oneness returning through and amid duality – opens a portal to the love supreme and allows a spiritual practice by which we can accelerate our self-realization. This topic is too deep to capture very much of the essence, but here's the tip of the iceberg.

Ep 68Episode 68: RFK Jr. For President

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is a man of virtue and integrity who I hope to be the next president of the United States of America. Compassionate, intelligent, knowledgeable, diplomatic, humble, empathetic, strong, independent, brave, lighthearted, serious, powerful, open; these words describe him well, yet the corporate press (whose owners stand to lose vast sums of money and societal influence/control should RFK Jr. take office in 2024) paint him as a nutcase, a madman, a fool, a 'conspiracy theorist' and a danger to the public. Do you believe this? Perhaps you do, perhaps you don't, or perhaps this is the first you have heard of this remarkable human being. Whichever it be, I urge you for the sake of our shared future to watch five consecutive unedited minutes of RFK in interview, and you will know the truth. I'm old enough to not jump on political bandwagons too readily, but this is a rare jewel of an opportunity for a true man of character to take power in the West in its hour of need. This is just a short intro and invitation to get interested in RFK, but I hope you enjoy!

Ep 67Episode 67: Beauty

Beauty is far deeper than the way a person, object or natural scene meets the eye; at its most heartfelt and profound, it is something like the soul of God, the feeling that takes your breath away when a film takes a perfectly unexpectedly inevitable bend of joy, when the balance and harmony of existence is revealed as reassuringly, undeniably meaningful. Join me as I try to get my head around perhaps the most mysterious of words, and hear why I think beauty might be the ultimate meaning of life – or at least my own journey.

Ah the Devil. Always messin' out there on the fringes of the mind, of society, of belief. Let's discuss the meaning of 'the Devil' or Lucifer or Satan, from the figurative and mythological to the religious. We will also analyse the claim made by some self-described Satanists that theirs is just another religion, equally worthy to those propounding love. While we're at it, let's get some context on why some people believe powerful elites actually practise hellish luciferian blood-sacrifice rituals, as well as the scientific reasons why in theory it may be possible that such a demonic supernatural being could indeed exist. Sure the Devil most likely doesn't exist beyond being our own darkest impulses – so what are you afraid of?

Ep 65Episode 65: See It As Easy

Some things are easier to do than others; but all things are easier when seen as easy. So long as one is actually doing one's best to prepare for and perform one's work in this life, our chances of getting good results are only improved by telling ourselves that, yes, we can do whatever needs to be done. By avoiding unnecessary anxiety, doubt and hesitation, the mind is focused upon the task at hand (possibly enhanced by the placebo effect, expecting success) and the body hums with a more benevolent vibration, maximising energy and skill. Whether or not we ultimately get what we want, our belief will have brought it closer.

Ep 60Episode 60: I'll Pay Cash

Today we look in-depth at why we should use cash as much as possible and not consent to the increasingly bold (if subtle and plausible-deniability camouflaged) suggestions by governments and big business to remove cash freedom from the people. In short, the benefits of removing cash are minor and yet the harms of doing so are enormous, and potentially even lethal to the preservation of human rights. We must keep cash alongside digital money and get the best of both worlds. Anyone who insists that cash is outdated is either unaware of the threats we face, or part of the problem. The freedom to use physical money free from Big Brother's prying eyes is the foundation of our political independence from central authority, and simply makes for a more beautiful life. So take the time once a week to get a wad of cash out of the ATM, and whenever a cashier reaches automatically for the card machine, you can just smile and say "I'll pay cash."

Ep 57Episode 57: Do You Believe In Trans?

All beings deserve to be treated with love, but above all this means not lying to each other; instead we must tell the truth as we see it, so that our fellow soul can thrive free from illusion. Sometimes we may disagree, but so long as one is not directly hurting another, one must be free to express and experience their life as they wish. True diversity means embracing each other's right to hold opinions which we ourselves don't believe in. I personally truly believe we are universal consciousness (ungendered) incarnating in a male or female body, so I'd be lying if I said I believed it possible to change gender. So the same logic of love by which I respect a person's right to feel they're trans (which I absolutely do) rightly means a trans person should respect my right to believe trans is a state of confusion about identity. For harmony and friendship, we must discuss what we really think; but we must do so with a spirit of kindness and empathy. We are all a bit confused, and all a bit wise. Let's share it.

Ep 56Episode 56: Be The Expert (On Where Your Expertise Lies)

These days it's all too often said that the individual citizen must defer to 'the experts'; even on matters very intimate and pressing for oneself but for which one lacks 'formal' training. Yet nothing in life can be understood separate from its context (sorry, Reductionism!) and frequently the right answer to a question demands multiple lenses of analysis be applied. So a technocrat might have his ideas about public health, for example, but a street vendor might have life experience qualifying him to best the former man in an argument; say, via long-term observations of human nature, or his personal health regimen, or reading books. Who exactly is the expert when disciplines overlap? Who is an expert on who is an expert? The truth is we must all articulate and advocate our beliefs, but humbly admit that it takes a village to raise a child and a village to figure out just what's what in life, by talking freely.

Ep 55Episode 55: Is It Safest To Assume A Global Coup Is Underway?

No one wants to be smeared and vilified as a 'conspiracy theorist' but is it more dangerous to assume that everything is fine on Planet Earth when red flags wave like innocent blood? I argue we DO NOT KNOW if a global coup is taking place at the hands of billionaires and the many power pyramids they control, but we DO KNOW this is a plausible possibility, based on recent events mysteriously overlooked or downplayed in the corporate press. This episode argues that we can find a powerful and wise middle way by ACTING AS IF a global coup is underway, and so marshalling a massive public movement toward restoring individual liberty and addressing crony capitalism, corruption and authoritarianism. If we are wrong and there really is no cabal attempting to take away our freedoms, then at least this movement will have made some improvements to an already safe democratic system. But if we are right, then we will have triumphantly outwitted the greatest evil ever to take aim at the human race – it will be the most monumental achievement of world history. On the other hand if we fear the taboo of questioning the crowd and orthodoxy, waiting idly for some hypothetical complete certainty that will never come, we at best get nothing good and at worst face the most shameful of enslavements of we, our children and grandchildren simply because we would not open our eyes and mouths and start thinking, talking and acting upon the possibility that bad people were quietly working at the highest level to strip us of our birthright so that they could win the most ancient and dark of prizes: world domination. If Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Henry VIII, Montezuma, the Inquisition and Genghis Khan were real and not 'conspiracy theories' then why wouldn't this all be possible now? Something sinister is afoot. We must be careful. Just to be safe, let's act as if we must act. P.S. One such way to err on the side of safety is to get out and get involved in such things as the upcoming WeAreReady event which will take place on 20th May this year, all around the world, showing our numbers and unity, the same day as the Bilderberg Group meet to discuss their secret plans for our planet. Ep 54Episode 54: Hate Speech Laws Are More Dangerous Than Hate

This episode lays out the arguments you need to know to arm yourself for communication with your family, friends, strangers and public 'representatives' on the topic of freedom of speech and the NECESSITY to prevent 'hate speech' laws from being passed in the name of love, kindness and equality; but which would in fact feed division, fear, hate and harm. An egregious and horribly anti-human 'hate speech' bill has passed the Irish lower house of parliament and is on its way to soon be made law unless enough citizens of Éire (and the world, for the same insidious trend is afoot in many countries) take a clear stand en masse and say NO MEANS NO, to laws that would give the government (and the fallible humans who run it, today and into the future) the ability to imprison citizens, should they merely possess material subjectively deemed 'hateful', though the bill never defines what 'hate' is. Democracy does not need this law in order to function, but totalitarianism does. Speak up! Sign the petition from Free Speech Ireland to end this bill: https://chng.it/ZGZP72FcP9

Ep 53Episode 53: The Right Way To Make Mistakes

Mistakes are inevitable; we are only human, and life is only life. So in order for us to do our best and so meet our destiny to live in utmost harmony with the cosmos, it is paradoxically and ironically necessary for us to embrace and be welcoming of mistakes. By accepting and even 'befriending' the fact of our repeated failures, we free up wasted energy from resisting the inevitable and instead channel it into the present moment to uplift our level of skill in whatever task we are engaged in. We become open to feedback and learning from errors. Thus mastery of life requires understanding how helpful mistakes are, and to even seek them out within the realm of doing one's best, and indeed to see that ultimately there are no flaws in the flow of universal goodness; merely opposites in flux and a damn fine story.

Ep 52Episode 52: Am I Too Loud Or Too Quiet?

When should we give our opinion? Or tell others what we think and feel? Let's talk about how, when and why it's wise to share one's voice; and how, when and why silence is wiser. We discuss relationships, civic responsibility, personal wellness, and the beauty of truth.

Ep 51Episode 51: Fatherhood

Having blessedly just become a father myself, my own father, John McGlue, joins me (and the Heavenly Father of cosmic infinite consciousness presumably tuning in from all directions in invisible silence) to discuss my experience thus far, and likewise his, and what fatherhood is, could and should be.
