Today's episode covers the big picture of what myself and Gaelic Awakening, my newly formed political party, seek to bring to Irish politics and society at large. In a nutshell, we need liberty – saoirse. The very thing our ancestors so long laboured and died for is just what is needed to reset our country and by example perhaps help reset Europe, the West, and the whole world. The problem is too much government and the control this allows corporations and the ultra-wealthy to wield over us by using money to gain command of the expanding bureaucracy and its projects. Freedom for the individual brings natural cohesion – cooperation and competition – and the peace and prosperity we all long for. But this political awakening is only one of seven aspects of the awakening to truth and full potential that I dream of for the Irish and for humanity as a whole. Most fundamental of these is spiritual awakening, knowing Oneself; but it also includes emotional, intellectual, physical, economic, and cultural awakening. Our next episode will look at this movement I hope to inspire, beyond mere politics, to help Ireland along the healing road back home.
