PHONK D (Frankfurt,Germany) To understand Phonk D’s musical universe, you have to take a journey back in time for some years. After distributing his first genre-crossing mixtapes in the schoolyard, he was drawn to electronic music in the 90s. Night after night the Darmstadt resident observed the DJs at Frankfurt's legendary clubs Dorian Gray and Omen spending all his money on records. Thus, his DJ-career and enthusiasm for House and Techno kicked off with his first gig in 1997. Aside from DJing, he started to organise his own parties and worked at a local record store. The deeper his interest in DJ-techniques grew, the more he developed a passion for Hip Hop. For the next couple of years the electronic music took a backseat. Instead, Phonk D expanded his personal collection with disco- and funk-records and sold his own mixtapes in the Rhein-Main-area as well as establishing the producer-collective Kollege Schnürschnuh together with his musical partner Iron. In due course, they took credit for several albums and EPs for rappers like Mädness and Döll and Phonk D supported various artists at concerts and festivals as a backing DJ. While Phonk D enjoys expanding his musical tastes, an old flame never dies and after a long-lasting period in urban music, he went back to his roots, falling in love with electronic music again. He founded his own label footjob, which he has been running since 2014 and releases tunes of other artists besides his own productions. The sound of footjob is somewhere between deep, disco and classic house without being too attached to a genre and finds the approval of well-known scene-heads. STEFAN OBERMAIER (Vienna, AUSTRIA) Ever since stepping into the arena of international club electronica, almost fifteen years ago, the man they call Stefan Obermaier has managed to stay true to himself, and to his unique sonic vision as a musician, producer and DJ. Born in Salzburg, Stefan has lived in Vienna since 2001. His parents gave him his first keyboard when he was just two years old and he took to it instantly. With strong roots in Funk and Jazz and further inspired by the unique Vienna influence of this time, by the early 1990s he was already actively playing in various combos. In 1997 and 1998 he won the Austria Band Contest with his own compositions. At the age of 17, Stefan was at the forefront of performing electronic musicians in Austria. During a time before the convenience of laptops he was one of the very few hauling around their computers and installing them in venues for gigs. After finishing school, Stefan moved to Vienna to study music, but left university upon signing his first record contract with Universal Music in order to focus on his musical output. He has built a name for himself with remarkable solo releases that have been played by some of the biggest DJs in the business, and constantly appears in club charts internationally. FARHAN REHMAN (Mumbai, INDIA) Farhan Rehman is a Mumbai based DJ, Music Producer & Radio Host known for his groovy music productions and beat-driven sets featuring unconventional, multi-cultural elements. Farhan first broke into the scene when his remix of Josh Wink’s iconic track ‘Balls‘ was chosen for an official release by the popular music producer on his label Ovum Records. ABOUT - ZARASKO (DELHI, INDIA) Zarasko has been in the DJing circle since 2015. Working as a resident, DJ Zarasko has been known for his mixing skills. With love for electronic and hip hop Music, he has nurtured a great taste. A great combination of versatile song selection and good mixing is his style. ABOUT - KOSMIC RUDRA (GOA, INDIA) Kosmic Rudra aka Hursh is a Dj and Electronic music producer based in India. He started learning music on his own at the age of 15 and has been a regular DJ in the national Indian music scene, playing from House music all the way to minimal ,techno and groovier styles of music. His career changed in 2010 when he was introduced to Goa, Psychedelic culture and underground Techno. ABOUT - ZOANE (New Delhi, India) ZOANE is the solo project of Indian producer & DJ Sachin Menon, who has the influence of two different continents on the cards.
