This weeks the discussion revolves around culturally specific services. Why it’s important to offer services specific to a culture or minority groups and how we, as a community can gain cultural awareness. We cannot ignore the disparities in our communities. Native Americans and African Americans are dying from substance use disorder at rates far greater than other communities. Why is this and what can we change to help these communities?
