As we strive to live in better alignment with Heavenly Father's will for us, to allow the Spirit into our lives, we begin to desire a honest walk in keeping the commandments. The spirit is with us more frequently and in greater abundance, and we begin to make the important decision to turn our wills’ and lives’ over to the complete care of God.How do we keep this newfound, or discovered anew, desire to ‘come, more fully, unto Him’? The answer of course is, to be like Him and with Him in all things. As we embark on this wonderful journey, we find that our 'humanness' is still alive and healthy. The effects of the Fall have not been fully mitigated (that won't happen in this life btw) and staying committed to repenting to 'come unto Him' is not always easy. Several years ago, Scott Harman, our guest this week, spent some dark days in the throes of addiction. At one point he had literally lost everything and was living homeless on the street in California. Her heart must have swelled, maybe even her joy was full that perhaps she wept. Whatever Mary’s reaction, and we can be assured that it was sublime. Today we sense an invitation to deeply examine our own reaction to the risen lord. Do we find solace and peace in knowing that He indeed has risen? Does our knowing Him and “going” with Him to the garden, the cross and finally the tomb bring to our life’s peace and joy? Do we feel a deeper commitment to respond to the invitation “come follow me”? This week we wrap up the events of the atonement of Jesus Christ as we discuss the resurrection of Jesus. We talk about what that means for each of us as individuals and how this understanding should bring us closer to Him as the desire to follow Him builds inside of each of us. He lives!

From the garden to the cross... we follow Him as He takes upon himself and pays the price for EVERYTHING that is not of perfect light. Today, we worship at the cross of Jesus.

And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.Today we enter the Garden of Gethsemane with Jesus along with Peter, James and John. As we, in our hearts and minds, enter this sacred place together and strive to understand the depth and perfect breadth of the cleansing effects of the atonement of Jesus Christ. How can He, being The Son of God, thus God Himself, truly understand what my humanness really entails?” Jesus Christ does know, to even a greater depth than we can know, exactly how brutally difficult different parts of life can be.
