Red Rocks Church Weekend Messages

<p>Pastor Jimmy Rollins preaches out of Genesis 22, the story of Abraham and Isaac. What do we do when God asks more of us and it makes us uncomfortable? God wants us to have unfamiliar faith, to be okay when we feel uncomfortable because in those seasons we are building our faith and becoming more of who God created us to be.</p>

<p>It’s not easy to share our faith with others, and yet it is what Jesus calls us to do. How do we share the good news of Jesus with others? We have to remind ourselves that we have access to the Holy Spirit, we all have a testimony, and we all have a place to invite people to experience God, because of the local church.</p>

<p>We celebrate 20 years of Red Rocks Church by looking back with gratitude at all God has done. When we are grateful for God's past faithfulness, and we remind ourselves of it, we are able to build our faith for more miracles in the future.</p>

<p>God wants to do a miracle in your life, but are you ready for the miracle? God works His power through our participation. Where is He calling you to take a step of faith this year?</p>

<p>Are you living by design or by default? You are loved and chosen by the God of the universe. You were made on purpose for a unique purpose. When we believe that, and live into our identity in Christ, we can become the new creation He made us to be.</p>

<p>God wants good things for your life. He wants to amaze you! He can do whatever He wants to do in our lives but out of His love He invites us to participate in the process. We can prepare for the good things God has for us, and better position ourselves to receive them, by praying, fasting, and waiting on God.</p>

<p>This Christmas, pastor Shawn Johnson preaches that the joy of Christmas is not just tied to a holiday, it’s tied to the Savior we celebrate on the holiday. The good news of Christmas is that God loves you! Joy is for everyone who knows Jesus.</p>

<p>Pastor James Powell reminds us that Jesus is the promise of peace, kept. The Christmas story is proof that God keeps all His promises. In Him we can have true peace because He always accomplishes what He says He will do.</p>

<p>Pastor Doug Wekenman reminds us that life is full of seasons. When we feel like we are in a winter season of waiting we can have hope that God is working for our good and His glory.</p>

<p>Pastor Shawn Johnson shares a vulnerable message about how we can be both greatly favored and highly troubled at the same time. He gives us three things to cling to when we are in difficult seasons of our lives.</p>

<p>Pastor James Powell talks about 5 lenses to see giving to a church. When we have a relationship with Jesus and we understand that the first act of sacrificial giving was modeled by Him, it frees us up to give ourselves as we trust that He will provide all that we need.</p>

<p>Pastor Shawn Johnson celebrates what Red Rocks Church has been able to do in the last year because of the generosity of our church. Our tithe paired with the message of Jesus equals miracles in our communities.</p>

<p>Pastor Shawn talks to us about what a tithe is and what it isn’t. God doesn’t want or need our money. He is after our hearts. When we give all of ourselves to Him, including our finances, we experience life to the fullest.</p>

<p>Pastor Doug Wekenman kicks off our Kingdom Builders series reminding us why we give. We give because when God has our treasure, He has our heart, and when He has our heart we get His entire Kingdom.</p>

<p>Pastor Jimmy Rollins wraps up our Uncommon series with a powerful message on how to heal our relationships. Our pain can have a purpose if we heal our inside wounds and past trauma.</p>

<p>Pastor Shawn Johnson reminds us that as followers of Jesus we have every reason to be confident. When we make regular time to sit in God’s presence, practice prayer, and choose to live in obedience to what God asks us to do, we find uncommon confidence.</p>

<p>Pastor James Powell challenges us that if we are going to love like Jesus, we need to first receive the love that Jesus offered us when He died on a cross to save us. Once we receive love, we are able to fully give it back to God and to others as well.</p>

<p>Pastor Jill Johnson gives us an inspiring call to action to step outside of our comfort zone and show up for people in our lives who need prayer. Living courageously starts with praying three things we can all pray; God help me to be brave, bold, and to be a blessing to others.</p>

<p>What happens when we die? Pastor Doug Wekenman answers the question that many churches are afraid to talk about. Heaven is real, and hell is real. The questions is not if we will live forever, it is where we will live forever. We as Christians don't often live like we have an uncommon eternity ahead of us. What would it look like if we truly understood what Heaven is going to be like and lived with an urgency of telling everyone we know about the good news of Jesus so we can enjoy eternity together?</p>

<p>Pastor Shawn Johnson preaches on Christian community and why it is essential in fighting the loneliness pandemic. We fight loneliness with uncommon intentionality with the community around us.</p>

<p>We are called to be an uncommon people, who follow an uncommon God, to build His uncommon church. At Red Rocks Church we believe the local Church is the greatest evangelistic tool on the planet, so it matters that the people of God are connected to a local Church.</p>

<p>Pastor James Powell preaches that the uncommon mission of the early church is the same mission for us today. Jesus gave us uncommon proof, uncommon power, uncommon purpose, and uncommon patterns to move the Gospel forward.</p>

<p>Pastor Conrad Bess preaches from Exodus and pushes back on the bad theology that we don’t need anyone but Jesus. He reminds us that faith is a shared journey.</p>

<p>Pastor Doug Wekenman addresses the bad theology that 'money is the root of all evil'. He reminds us that scripture says you cannot love God and money, which is not a command but an observation. It is not bad for Christians to be wealthy. God blesses us each in different ways and areas of our lives. It is not about money itself, but rather about how much importance we place on money in our lives.</p>

<p>Pastor Shawn Johnson addresses the bad theology that if we have doubts God won’t answer our prayers. He gives five examples from scripture of people who doubted and God still performed miracles in their lives. Perfect faith is not required for God to answer our prayers.</p>
