<p>A sermon from Pastor Doug Wekenman as we wrap up our Rowdy Church series with a reminder from Matthew 14. When Peter stepped out onto the water, it wasn’t the storm that sank him—it was losing sight of Jesus. In a culture flooded with fear, division, and distraction, this message calls us to fix our eyes on Jesus, guard our hearts, and keep putting one foot in front of the other.</p>

<p>The Church is not a building, it is a body of people who live on mission to spread the good news of Jesus and change the world as a result! We cannot be the Church if we are not living intentionally in our own lives. Pastor Shawn Johnson encourages us to choose to do life in community, pray for each other, and in order to become the mature disciples we need to be in order to reach lost people in a hurting world.</p>

<p>The call of the Church has always been the same: to boldly share the good news of Jesus, with everyone. Our nation is walking through a very heavy time right now. From the recent shooting at Evergreen High School, the Catholic school shooting, the subway attack, the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and countless other recent events, we see the brokenness of the world. Pastor Shawn reminds us that while we grieve, we are not without hope. We know the victory is already won in Jesus and so we press on in our calling. The time is now to love people, share the good news of the gospel, and invite every one we meet into a relationship with Jesus. </p>

<p>In Week 1 of our brand-new series, Rowdy Church! Pastor Doug Wekenman unpacks what it means to be a church of imperfect people who can’t stay quiet about Jesus. Based on Acts 4:20, this series captures the heart of Red Rocks Church culture: we’re not a Christian country club—we’re a party for prodigals, a hospital for the broken, and a family on mission to make Heaven more crowded.</p>

<p>How do we know if we are hearing God’s voice or just our own thoughts? The closer you are to God and the more time you spend in His word, the more familiar you will be with His voice.</p>

<p>The more you get to know God the more you’ll love God. The more you love God, the more you’ll want to pray. Why is praying important? Because God wants to communicate with you about everything, and your prayers make a difference.</p>

<p>Prayer always works, even when we don’t get exactly what we want because when we pray we get peace and proximity to God. Anyone who is willing to trust God and bring their cares to Him can be a prayer warrior.</p>

<p>We can approach God with confidence when we pray because He loves us, He wants to talk with us, He is with us, He is listening, and He can handle anything we are facing.</p>

<p>God gave us dopamine to shine like a light, enjoy Him, and pursue the rich and satisfying life He came to give us.</p>

<p>So many of us are walking through difficult seasons in life. We have record numbers of people struggling with anxiety and depression. The invitation of Jesus is ‘come to me.' More of Jesus is the answer to the hurried lives we live. He offers peace, purpose, and rest for our souls.</p>

<p>Littleton Campus Pastor Andrew Zajicek preaches a message about judgement. As a society we have never had more access to other people’s dirty laundry than we do now. We love to judge others because it makes us feel better about ourselves. Jesus reminds us in the Gospel of John that we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, but because of Him, mercy triumphs over judgement.</p>

<p>Pastor Ethan Matott from our Austin, Texas campus preaches a message about Josiah, the youngest king in the Bible. He reminds us that God uses unlikely people in unlikely times and unlikely places to do unlikely things.</p><p><br></p><p>Return to God's grace.</p><p>Return to God's promises.</p><p>Return to God's Word.</p><p>Return to God's presence.</p>

<p>Red Rocks Youth Pastor Ethan Johnson shares moments from Scripture about God’s Glory. He challenges us to see life through the eyes of God’s Glory instead of making everything about ourselves.</p>

<p>If the Bible is God’s Word, why do Christians so often ignore it? Let’s look at three reasons why we might be ghosting the Word of God, and be encouraged to dive in and look at the Living Word as a source of life for our every day.</p>

<p>God calls us to have a child-like faith. Children are quick to feel wonder, love, and trust. Yet, as we live more life and experience more things, we tend to over-complicate our faith. God calls us to return to the simple, trusting faith of a child.</p>

<p>Pastors Shawn Johnson and Jimmy Rollins share real-life stories and give practical examples of what it looks like to have God-honoring friendships.</p>

<p>For most of us the most dysfunctional relationship we have in our lives is not with a person but with phones. How do we live in the world, but not be of the world when it comes to being a Christian who has a smart phone?</p>

<p>Relationships are hard, and it can be easy to feel like there is no hope. When we put God first, He empowers us to become more like Him. When we are more like Christ, our relationships flourish.</p>

<p>Week 2 of our relationship series discusses what the Bible has to say about the differences between men and women. We were designed to complement each other, not to compete with each other. Healthy relationships begin with knowing our Creator, and celebrating the unique ways He made us.</p>

<p>Pastor Shawn Johnson kicks off our relationship series, reminding us that in order to have healthy relationships in our life we have to start by examining our personal relationship with God. When we find our identity in Him, we are equipped to love others.</p>

<p>Pastor Jill Johnson preaches a message out of the book of Revelation about what to do when God asks us to wait. We can have confidence in confusion because Jesus was, is, and is to come and He will lead us when we choose to passionately, and patiently wait on Him.</p>
