It is less than two weeks from now that the United States will have its midterm elections– You know, those are the entire House of Representatives. I am back in Edmonton, I was in Calgary not too long ago when Danielle Smith was selected the leader of the United Conservative Party, taking over from Jason Kenney who incredibly didn't even finish his first term as Premier. Going from the leading conservative politician in Canada to one thrown out by his own party. Danielle Smith squeaked out a majority. There was a ranked ballot system. In the end she got about 54% of the party support and her closest successor 46. That's not an overwhelming win like Pierre Poilievre had federally, but then again, there were seven candidates. Danielle smith was also an outsider. She was not a sitting MLA and it will be tricky for her to negotiate being Premier of a caucus is not hers, those MLAs were picked by Jason Kenney, the cabinet ministers were picked by Jason Kenney. Many of the programs that Danielle Smith has railed against were implemented by the very MLAs and cabinet ministers she now has to cobble together into her own party. It reminds me a little bit of when Stockwell Day succeeded Preston Manning to lead the Reform Party of Canada, actually, then it was called the Canadian alliance. Preston Manning, never in a million years thought he would lose and he couldn't stomach the loss to Stockwell Day again, an outsider who was not part of caucus and soon there was a bit of a civil war against him. Danielle Smith has to keep that party together as she gets ready to fight Rachel Notley. The NDP former Premier who actually thinks she can be returned to power. It has been a choppy time for Danielle Smith. Now, some of that is expected. Of course, the media party hates her. Of course the NDP war room and their proxies in the big labor unions hater. Of course, of course, of course, but it's the same way for Pierre Poilievre federally, of course the Liberal Party and the media party hate him, but he seems to be more ready for the battle than Danielle Smith has been. Now, I like Danielle Smith. I have had some qualms with her over the years but of the seven candidates, I felt she was the strongest and the one who would be the most caring and devoted to Alberta's interests. I think that was one of the reasons why Jason Kenney failed as Premier. Number one, of course, he enforced brutal lockdowns including against truckers and against Christian churches and business people like Chris Scott. But also he didn't stand up for the province of Alberta. I think Kenney was always looking for the next chance where maybe he would run for Prime Minister in five years and so he was always thinking, what do I do now in Alberta? How will it look in five years when I'm trying to explain myself to the CBC I don't want to be to Alberta first. I don't want to be too critical of Canada. So Danielle Smith to me, met those two checkboxes, she was the most freedom oriented to the seven candidates and the most pro Alberta. So how is she doing? Has either of those issues blown up on her? If that weren’t ridiculous enough, Lizzo is also upset about being oversexualized all the time. So, we offer our take on poor Lizzo’s woes and react to her political and feminist justification for wearing skimpy outfits on stage. Plus, did you know porn is making people dumber? zra Levant is in downtown Ottawa to cover the public inquiry into Trudeau's invocation of martial law. Fifteen members of the Rebel News team will be there for the next six weeks covering this commission to make sure Trudeau is not able to flip the script and put the truckers on trial. The judicial inquiry intro Trudeau's use of a form of martial law under the emergencies act will examine the sensational events which occurred when thousands of truckers spontaneously converged on Ottawa and other places too, to protest against the violation of our civil liberties inherent in the vaccine mandates and other lockdown laws. It was beautiful because it was so real, so authentic and so Canadian. It was organic, there was no master plan to it, certainly no political party behind it. Every political party in parliament - both government and opposition loved the mandates and the lockdowns and none spoke out against it. Every court supported it and, of course, the mainstream media was all for it and the colleges of physicians and surgeons hunted down any doctors that dared to have a second opinion. And the police enforced it all. Trudeau tried to demonize the truckers as violent but crime in Ottawa actually decreased while the truckers were in town. For example, a new study was published recently stating that women should be cautious when breastfeeding their six-months and under babies for 48 hours post-vaccination, even though we were all told that the vaccines were safe and effective by the “experts.” Additionally, women were gaslit by the mainstream media for coming forward about changes in menstruation after getting the vaccine. And now, one year later, the media is confirming their claims. Women are also sold lies about the potential dangers of birth control, which, despite being referred to as “hormonal birth control,” does not contain an ounce of natural hormones and can cause an array of health issues. We are also constantly directed to look to the rich and famous for skincare advice, who pretend their perfect skin is owed to hydration and a healthy diet. But, let’s be honest, these women have endless access to the best in the skincare business, not to mention plastic surgery. But sure, love yourself more — buy Kim Kardashian’s new skincare line, and you’ll finally be happy! We also address the lie that women can have it all. Sorry ladies, you can’t beat your biological clock — unless you’re incredibly wealthy and can afford to freeze your eggs for $10,000! But, once again, feminists want us to believe that we can wait until it's convenient to have a baby, and everything will magically work out. Finally, now that anyone can self-declare that they are a woman, we are being rendered obsolete, and we must make peace with it — or else! So, if you’re uncomfortable with a female-identifying biological male sharing a changeroom with you, congratulations on becoming a bigot.
