Today we’re joined by Anthony Davidson, Ant first dropped into a kart aged 8 and quickly found he had a talent for it and went on to take part in his first competitive race in 1987. Today, with Harry on hols in Norfolk with zero wifi, Tim is flying solo but the show must go on and he's joined by David Brabham, a man from one of the most important racing dynasties in motorsport, he’s had over 30 years in the sport from karts, to single seaters, Formula 1 and sportscars. He has a ridiculous racing CV – he’s a triple Le Mans 24 hr class winner, back to back American Le Mans Series Champion, he’s enjoyed two Championship titles in ALMS. He’s been a WEC LMP1 privateer picking up podiums, and we’ve not even touched on the triumphs in Japanese GT500s, USA Professional Sportscar Championship, Spa 24, Daytona 24, Sebring 12 hrs and Bathurst 1000. Today we’re joined by Pascal Wehrlein who started his racing life in karts back in 2003 before moving up through ADAC Formula Masters, Formula 3 Euro Series, and DTM where he would go on to be Champion. He’s reached the top of the motorsport ladder in the form of Formula 1 before moving across to its greener cousin, Formula E. Today we’re joined by Trevor Carlin, the man behind one of the biggest race teams in the world. He’s a man that has nurtured an enviable conveyer belt of stars including Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo, Lando Norris, K-Mag, Carlos Sainz and many more. We hear from Juan Manuel Correa, a man who came back from the brink after a life changing crash at Spa. A real honour to hear from such an inspirational and impressive man! Born in Ecuador in 1999, before testing his ability in the US where he settled in Miami. He competed and won 2013 Rotax National Championship and become Rotax Junior World Champion in karts. He was scouted and recruited by the Lotus F1 Team on their Junior Programme and moved to Europe to pursue his dream, aged just 14. The next Kiwi to get to Formula One? Today we’re joined by Liam Lawson, Liam started in karts in his native New Zealand at Mt Wellington kart track in Auckland before winning on debut in Formula First and Formula Ford, where he won 15 of 15 championship races, at 15 he headed to Australia where he continued the trend by winning on his debut. At 16 he moved to Europe, where he went through ADAC F4, Formula 3 and most recently in Formula 2 with Red Bull backing, his highlight though, coming when he recently raced of course at the inaugural MotorMouth Charity Karting Cup at Whilton Mill. Today we’re joined by British racing star Jordan King. Jordan took the well trodden route of karting back way in 2005 before a move to Single Seaters beckoned in 2010 where he won the British F3 title with Carlin. He went on to European F3 and the then GP2 Championship. The Manor Marussia F1 Team quickly snapped him up as a development driver before stints in F2 and IndyCar over in the US of A. Guenther’s rise to F1 came from a 30 year career that started with success in rallying where he worked his way up the ranks, picking up titles in the World Rally Championship along the way. He later moved to Banbury in the Oxfordshire, in the heart of British motorsport valley before stints with M-Sport and working with the legendary Colin McRae. It was 2001 when F1 came calling in the form of Jaguar Racing and again in 2005 with Red Bull, fast forward a few years and he’s the man tasked with bringing success to the first US led F1 team since 1986. The first of our run of special shows and this one is not easy to talk about. We’ve set up a partnership with The Brain Tumour Charity and they’re now our Official Charity Partner. An incredible story from the man who almost had F1 at his feet! Today we’re delighted to be joined by former Formula One driver turned DJ Jaime Alguersuari. The Spanish born star navigated through Italian Formula 1600 before winning the Italian Formula Renault Winter Series. He moved to British F3 alongside Brendon Hartley and other big names on his way to winning the title at 18 years old. It was while he was halfway through a Formula Renault 3.5 season that he was drafted into F1 mid-season with Toro Rosso, where he stayed for the rest of 2009, 2010 and 2011 before leaving the team at the same time as a former podcast guest Sebastien Buemi. Like Sebastien, Jaime then made his way to Formula E before putting his efforts into music and becoming a chart topping DJ! Today, we bring you a double whammy and it was LOADS of fun to record. Not one guest but two! The first Tom Blomqvist, a rapidly rising star of the track, born in the UK before moving to New Zealand, he’s the son of the legendary rally star Stig Blomqvist….his decorated career has taken him all over the world competing in the likes of FIA Formula 3, DTM, endurance racing and sportscars, and the incredible Bathurst 12 hr race. This year, after cutting his teeth with Andretti and Jaguar Racing, he’s now a full blown Formula E racer for NIO 333 Racing and his boss is happily our second interviewee, Mr. Christian Silk, Christian joined NIO at the start of Season 3 to lead the Race and Test Engineering Department, following many years in Formula One where he enjoyed roles with the likes of Renault, Marussia and Williams.
