03. From a DIY Website To Google Page 1: How One Therapist Created a Successful Hypnotherapy Website
You may have heard it said that one of the best ways to get organic traffic from Google is to create what's called, "specialty pages." These are those highly-detailed, informational pages on your website that are specific to the specialties or services you offer in your private practice. What makes this such a good website strategy is that it allows you to be super specific with each page, creating copy that is perfectly targeted toward your ideal client. But how do you actually go about this? What does it look like in the real world and is it actually worth it to create so much content for your private practice website? I'd like to introduce you to Paul Thomas. 02. A Simple Online Marketing Plan For Your Private Practice
Back in 2013 my wife and I had the adventure of a lifetime as we hiked over 80 miles round trip to Mount Everest Basecamp. I remember those long days of following our guides up steep exhausting mountain sides followed by quick descents. All the while wondering whether we'd get to basecamp or not. Sometimes, we couldn't even see Everest in font of us as we walked on through the cold, headaches pounding due to the elevation. But at about day three we finally saw it: Mt. Everest looming in the distance. It seemed so far away, but yes, we were getting closer. Sometimes running a private practice can feel a lot like hiking high elevations. There's ups and there's downs but all along you trust that you're moving forward. But one of the most important things you can do as you seek to grow a successful private practice is actually super simple: Know where you're going. I bet you've got some big goals for your practice. Maybe even scary audacious ones! And the only way to get there is to take stock of where you are now so you can get to work, one step at a time. In this episode I'm going to lay out a plan, a trail map if you will, that will help understand what marketing tasks you should focus on, no matter what stage your private practice is in. Here's what you'll learn in this episode: The multiple stages most private practices go through on their journey toward a full caseload The various marketing tasks you should focus on at each of these stages When you should start outsourcing some of your marketing tasks How to free up time to focus on the dreams you have for your life This episode is brought to you by my Online Marketing Trail Map.
