In this episode Derek asks one of the most relevant questions that can be asked..."what will you tell your kids?" There are a lot of crazy things going on right now in the world and far too many people aren't willing to sacrifice comfort in an attempt to preserve long term freedom. This freedom comes in the form of governance, your body and all areas of life. How will you answer the questions that your kids will have in 10 years from now? What will you tell them that you did to stop the madness? Will you be a "go along to get along" type person or will you stop complying?

S1 Ep 105Don't Use God To Justify Mediocrity...
One of the questions Christians often contemplate is "what does God want for my life?" Derek dives into the taboo topic of whether or not it is noble to be okay with "just getting by." He also asks why it is that people seem to accept lack and scarcity when we should be focused on creating abundance to bless others? This can be a very controversial topic but he isn't one to shy away from those issues and if you have ever struggled with the question of "how much is too much" or "why have I always been told not to have too much," make sure to check this episode out!
S1 Ep 104Adam Bender-Why Hunting Is The Answer...
Adam Bender has been able to go all around the world hunting. In this episode, Adam and Derek take a step away from all of the chaos that seems to be going on in the world to have a conversation around hunting. You will hear about Adam's wife who was fortunate to draw a "once in a lifetime" elk hunt and be successful. They also dive into the wolf conversation and what that means for future hunting. Lastly, you'll get to hear about some of Adam's stories that he has experienced by traveling to different cultures and how they perceive success (hint: it's not by the Boone and Crocket scores that we are used to). Adam is a great family man with a mission to preserve the way of life that has led to many generations of hunters and will hopefully contribute to many more!
S1 Ep 103It Stops When You Say It Stops...
Derek is fired up on this episode! Almost everything that is happening in your life, whether it be mandates, health, relationships, jobs and the list goes on and on can be changed right away...but it comes down to you. These questions hit really close to home this week in a tricky conversation that he was brought into. S1 Ep 100You Wouldn't Let Someone Talk To You Like This...
Have you ever had someone say something to you that is disrespectful? Have you ever had someone say something to you that you thought was unacceptable? Most of us, at some point in our life, have had people say things to us that weren't helpful and we wouldn't accept it but we say the exact same things to ourselves all of the time. Why is that acceptable? Answer: it's not. In this episode, Derek asks the simple question around why would we tell ourselves that we are dumb or that we will never be successful if we would be ready to fight someone if they said the exact same thing to us? If you struggle with internal negativity it will crush your future. If you struggle with this, make sure to check out this episode!

He was a 4-time all-American in Track and Field and has gone on to be a top innovator through his apps and creation of new equipment. On top of all of that, he is also a family man and an overall great guy to learn from.
S1 Ep 98Why Can't We Win Any Wars???
Whether it's the war on poverty...or the war on drugs...or the war on terrorism...why can't we actually WIN? In this episode, Derek talks about why success can't be abstract. We fight these wars, and even though they are noble efforts, we don't seem to ever actually win. Why is that? Success has to be DEFINED. Do you want to be rich? What does that actually mean? Do you want to be fit? What does that mean? Derek brings several different examples both from a macro level AND a micro level to show why it is so important to define success. If you've been struggling to hit your goals, this is a MUST listen episode!
What Would Your Enemy Wish For You...
Many of us struggle with seeing our true flaws. We struggle, to some degree, with HONEST self awareness. In this episode Derek takes the side of what would your enemy want from you? How would your enemy want you to feel? What thoughts would your enemy hope you are thinking? If you want to take a completely different approach to understanding where you are in life right now and some of the things that you need to work on, take it from your enemy. If you have been struggling to do what's needed, this will be some motivation from a completely different perspective!
S1 Ep 96Is Love REALLY Enough? With Jess Wilson
One of the questions that we hear all the time around relationships and marriage is whether or not LOVE is actually enough... Derek and Jess wanted to dive into this exact topic because there is so much confusion on what it takes to have a thriving relationship. Do you love someone but feel like it isn't enough? Are you wondering if you should actually move forward into marriage when you know that you love them but don't share values? In this episode, you will hear why love actually isn't enough by itself. There are two additional things that any successful relationship will need in addition...
S1 Ep 95No Matter What You're Doing, Be GREAT!
In this episode, Derek talks all about how important it is to be great at whatever it is that you're doing. Are you a janitor? Perfect! Be great at it. Are you a CEO? Nice! Be great at it. More opportunities are created from being great at what you are doing right now even if it isn't where you want to be forever. People are ALWAYS looking to hire someone (and pay them very well) that is great where they currently are. This episode will show you the importance that it's not always what you are currently doing that matters but it's more about how you do it...even if no one seems to be watching!

Cristy Nickel aka Cristy Code Red was once named one of the Top 3 Most Dangerous women in the world during her professional boxing career. S1 Ep 93You Gotta Be Tough...
So often in today's times, we really only hear about feelings. We hear about expressing feelings and accepting feelings and that "toughness" is actually a weakness. Don't be fooled; this is all garbage. In today's episode, Derek talks about WHY you should be equipping yourself with the mental toughness to get through the toughest days when (not if) they happen. He had a pretty intense situation that happened last weekend and it required some mental toughness, and, just like anything else, the more you are training yourself for the worst case scenarios, the better off we'll all be when it really hits the fan.
S1 Ep 92Country Music Star Drew Parker-How Making One Move Can Change Your Life
Drew Parker seems to be what most would consider a "normal guy." Well, other than the fact that he has co-written some of the biggest country music songs in the past 3 years including "Homemade" by Jake Owen and "Forever After All" with Luke Combs among many others. In this episode, Drew talks about the decision on why he left his hometown in Georgia to pursue country music as his career and how having to live with regrets was way worse than failing could ever be. If you want to hear first hand what it takes to go from what can be a comfortable life to the absolute dog eat dog world of the massive music industry, you DO NOT want to miss out on this episode!
S1 Ep 91Trust Your Damn Eyes!
In this episode, Derek takes on a few "hot button" issues... When did we get to the point that we started to believe things that our eyes tell us are completely false? Whether it is political issues, personal issues or anything else, we seem to stop believing what is easy to see. People will try to lie to us. We will even try to lie to ourselves. When it's all said and done, we can see the truth IF we are open to seeing it. Stop letting the media, athletes, celebrities and social media tell you things that you can SEE are not true; TRUTH will set us all free!
S1 Ep 90Stop Asking What To Do And Start Asking Who You Have To Become...
We hear all of the time how we should write down our goals. We are told to create a 3 year plan and a 5 year plan. The "experts" want us to plan out every move but there is something that no one seems to talk about: who do YOU have to become to accept the gifts that achieving your goals will bring? Do you seem to fall into the same relationship patterns? How about the same work or business patterns? Do you plateau? Do you get stuck? In this episode, Derek asks you to consider your goals from a different angle and start asking yourself "who do you need to BECOME to achieve what you want?" This is a powerful concept that can completely change everything about the way you set goals going forward!
S1 Ep 89Colin Wayne-From Critically Wounded In War To Business Icon
EColin Wayne is one of the most fascinating people to join the Primal King Podcast. In his young life he has already done more than most could dream of in a lifetime. It didn't take him long to realize that he had much bigger aspirations and wasn't content simply being known for his looks. That is how Redline Steel was started. He took a concept that almost no one was doing and has built it into an 8 figure per-year business. Colin was ranked the most interesting entrepreneur by Forbes and has been featured everywhere. If you feel any anger, resentment or if you have been holding grudges PLEASE make this episode a priority.
S1 Ep 87Jess Wilson-When To Have THOSE Conversations...
Recently Derek was chastised as being "afraid" for wanting to shield his kids from some of the craziness of the world. Because of that, he wanted to bring on his most popular guest, Jess, to have the conversation about when we should expose our kids to things that are controversial in our current time such as gender identification, sex, gays and lesbians and other controversial topics. This episode will lay out when Derek and Jess think it's okay to be tolerant and when we should stick to our core values. This world would have you believe that you are a bigot or "backwoods" for thinking a certain way but always remember, you aren't alone!
S1 Ep 86What's Your Story? (We ALL Have One)
In today's episode, Derek wants to know what your story is. We all have a story and the truth is that most of them are absolute b.s. He talks about how he recently realized what his story is and how it has held him back. He also talks about how easy it is to have a story about yourself that may be "hard wired" into your brain. If it seems complex, it really isn't. If you wonder what is holding you back in relationships, money, your body or even your spiritual growth, you have a story around it that is preventing you from truly living the best way possible. We will take care of that today!
S1 Ep 85Mike Mihalski-From Selling His Car To an 8 Figure Business
EMike Milhalski is the Co-Owner and Founder of the wildly successful company Sons of Liberty Gun Works. Not only is he a great guy but his story will inspire you to realize what is possible in only a few short years. He took a passion, some hard work and a dream and fulfilled it in less than a decade to build one of the most well known and trusted rifle companies in the entire country. In this episode, you will hear exactly what it took for Mike and his company to not only build a brand but how he has been able to live his dream!
S1 Ep 84Prepare for WAR!
In today's episode, Derek talks about the four different areas in our life and how they work together. If you are prepared for war in all areas, you will always weather the storm. If you aren't, you will inevitably experience the "snowball effect." It is really easy to mask issues in certain areas of life when one area is crushing it but if you encounter any problems when you aren't prepared for war, you will lose every time. If you've ever said "when it rains it pours," you HAVE to listen to this one...
S1 Ep 83Joe Marfoglio-How Growing Up In A Cult Allows Him To Clearly See What Is Happening In Current Times
EDo you ever feel like you are living in a world that seems "cultish?" If you say or do the wrong thing whether it be anti-mask mandates, anti pop culture fads and so on, you will feel shamed and become an outsider? Joe Marfoglio grew up in a fundamentalist-type religion and talks about how the exact same things that he went through are actually being used right now in our culture. Having been through the experience that he has and "came out" of it, he is full awake to the methods that are used to control people. If you have felt like an outsider simply because things simply don't make sense, you need to check out this episode and learn how Joe was able to break free!
S1 Ep 82What Would You Do If Fear Wasn't Holding You Back?
Derek tells a story about a flight tour of Mt. McKinley several years ago and how the absolute fear of doing it changed everything. Fear holds most of us back from doing the things that we truly want to; it can be fear of a life change, starting a new business, building the best marriage possible and a number of other things. In this episode, you will be left with one very simple yet insanely important question; what would YOU do if fear wasn't holding you back?
S1 Ep 81Jess Wilson-Do Men and Women Have Specific Roles?
Derek and Jess wanted to hop into the unforgiving conversation around gender. Rather than taking the approach of what seems to be common now with choosing genders and gender fluidity, they break down their thoughts from a more traditional sense and why they believe what they believe. Truth is still important. It may not be comfortable or culturally acceptable sometimes but it still needs to be put out there. For any of you that wonder about what your role is in a relationship or what the other gender is REALLY looking for, make sure to listen in to this episode!
S1 Ep 80You Won the LOTTERY! (Don't Piss It Away)

If you need a quick "pick me up" or maybe even a little nudge to help you live a better lifestyle, you HAVE to check out this episode. The numbers don't lie...make sure you understand that you already won the lottery and Derek shows you exactly how.
S1 Ep 79Jamey Shirah-Hunting, Small Town Values and Success Through Hard Work
Jamey Shirah is part owner and CMO of the asset management company South Capital Partners. He grew up in a very small town but after graduating from the University of Georgia he has gone on to be successful with several different ventures. Ultimately his roots led him to start the Hunter Recruitment Project which helps first-time hunters experience the power of harvesting their first animal. Jamey's "Get off your butt and make it happen" attitude is infectious as well as impactful. Not only has he made waves in the bar and restaurant industry but is now giving people the opportunity to go down the path of being self sufficient with hunting skills. Whether you grew up similar to Jamey and Derek in a small town or if you grew up more urban, you will learn why fulfilling the primal instincts of hunting and providing is so important on so many different levels!
S1 Ep 78Is It Education or Indoctrination?
Derek talks about how he recently started doing something COMPLETELY different than most would think is acceptable. In fact, most people look at him cross-eyed when he tells them about it. This episode covers the consideration that most of what we "know" isn't actually known but rather passed down and may or may not actually be true. Whether it is dealing with fitness and nutrition or relationships and business, there are lots of people giving advice based on things they don't actually know. Does that sound harsh? Maybe, but it's true. Check out this episode if you want to have your beliefs challenged and you want to learn how you can actually believe in what you're doing rather than following the herd.
S1 Ep 77Ryan Michler-Is Masculinity Dying?
Ryan Michler has built an empire around helping males become men. He started Order of Man first because of his pursuit to become the best man that he could be. After growing up without a father in the home, he realized how important it is to understand that the inherent qualities of a man are not bad despite what our culture will tell us. Derek talks with Ryan about how he first started leading men to improve their lives and how he has now built a thriving business, a massively successful podcast and a movement that is changing lives by removing "masculinity" as a curse word. Ryan talks about how many are plagued by the false narrative that men need to sit down, shut up and be less "manly."
S1 Ep 76If You Don't Know Any Better, How Can You Do Any Better?
How many times as a kid were you told that "you should know better?" I know I heard it a LOT. Sometimes you may have known better and did it anyways but sometimes you may not have known what you were doing was wrong. There is so much information out there that is available now, we can literally learn just about anything that we want. You don't even have to attend college to attend college level classes online. In this episode, Derek talks about the importance of education but not in its traditional sense. He gives several examples that if you ever actually want to do better, you first will have to know better!

Aron has built a massive audience on Instagram with his great photos and insight as well as continuing to grow Kifaru as one of the top quality brands in the outdoor space.
You Can Be Bad...But Don't Be Lazy
We all look for that "hack." We all want to fast track our success no matter what we are trying to accomplish. We teach our kids to fast track their careers by going to college. We tell people to fast track their weight loss by taking snake oil. The list goes on and on. In this episode, Derek reflects on a conversation that he had with his daughter about a really hard time she was going through. It is a lesson that isn't really being taught anymore and it is the most basic fundamental of success. Make sure to listen in to see how the conversation went and how this will shed new light on the oldest known "hack" in the world.
S1 Ep 73The "Patriot Barbie" Lindsey Graham-Freedom At All Costs
Lindsey was a thriving business owner. She had recently built her dream home. She was finally seeing the years of hard work that she had put in produce massive results. Then Covid hit. She went from having multiple business locations to nothing. She went from a thriving business owner to facing bankruptcy. She lived in Oregon and her state was one of the hardest locked down states in the country. Rather than sitting around and waiting for the government to save her, she decided to take things into her own hands and open her business despite the lockdowns. What happened after that was both inspiring and heart breaking. Make sure to tune into this episode with an open mind. You will hear first-hand that the Covid virus hasn't just infected people but the reaction to it has pushed countless people to the brink of losing everything...
S1 Ep 72Is The Pressure Getting To You???
Derek heard someone recently say something that really caught his attention when it comes to dealing with the pressure that we all feel at certain points in our lives. "Pressure is a privilege." Just think, if you are feeling pressure right now, be it in your job, business or any other area, you may actually be much more "privileged" than you think. This episode will help you put into perspective all of that pressure you may be feeling!
S1 Ep 71What The Best Of The Best Do And Why You Should Use It Too
We've all heard about people that have a "chip on their shoulder." What is one thing that just about everyone that is elite at something, whether it be sports, business or any other area, have in common? They have a fuel that feeds their fire and it typically comes from something that someone said or did to them at some point. Derek struggled on whether or not to talk about this for fear of sounding "petty" but it is a topic that is practiced by many but talked about by few. So, how do you take the things that have happened that could be perceived as bad and actually use it to fuel your growth and your success? You will hear all about it in this episode so make sure to tune in!

EBart Miller a.k.a. the "Billion Dollar Cowboy" shares what has made him successful in almost everything that he's done; from competitive cycling to a decorated body builder to building multiple successful businesses and raising an amazing family...but it may not be what you think. Bart has an attitude around pain that isn't like most other people. In fact, he talks about pain and how God uses it to create greatness even though we may not see it in the moment. So often we will do what we can to create discomfort in our own life to see growth whether it be challenges or weight lifting or a number of other things yet we question why God would allow our discomfort for our own potential growth. Bart has a way of breaking down complex situations into very easily do-able and achievable steps. If you want to learn how to use the pain that you're currently in to fuel your growth, make sure to tune in!

Make sure to listen in or this one because there will be some powerful insights that can absolutely shift how you approach every day.
S1 Ep 68Jessica Wilson-What To Do If Your Spouse Is ALWAYS Around...
Most people don't work with their spouse. In fact, for many couples, they don't see each other all THAT often. When you factor in jobs, kids, responsibilities and on and on, sometimes it can feel more like passionate roommates than husband or wife. The pandemic and subsequent shutdowns has meant more "quality" time then ever for most couples though. For the first few weeks it may have seemed liked a nice little break from reality but now...it may feel like a prison. This week, Derek and Jess have some fun with the conversation of how to deal with someone when you feel like they are always around. Rather than take a serious approach to what can be a complicated issue, they add some humor and light-heartedness to hopefully put a smile on your face even if you are feeling a little bit of cabin fever while still showing you how to get through these tough times. Before you resort to throwing lamps at your significant other, make sure to listen to this one!

Derek walks you through exactly HOW you can do the most important thing to achieve your goals in this episode (hint: it doesn't require discipline or extreme willpower). If you feel like you just aren't able to follow through on your goals or that you never stay on track for very long with the commitments you make to yourself, do yourself a favor and listen to this one. His entire identity had been built on being the "baseball guy" but all of a sudden, he wasn't. He bounced around from job to job until he started learning about internet marketing. From there, he landed a huge job with Target which ended up propelling him into being the owner and founder of Bucks Brand Of America, a wildly successful brand that combines hunting and sports. S1 Ep 63FREEDOM!!! ...and what it really means
There is a ton of talk going on about freedom. Government restrictions are a huge topic. Lockdowns. Mandates... What if we look at our freedoms from a foundational level though? Are you free to move your body the way that you want? Are you free to do what you want financially? Are you free to live the way you want to? Derek may sprinkle in a little bit of that forbidden fruit known as politics in this episode but the great point comes back to personal choices and personal freedoms. Make sure to listen to this episode and see where you stand!

S1 Ep 60What We Can ALL Learn From A 7 Year Old...
Derek's son is 7 years old. He is at that stage where just about everything that comes out of his mouth ends with a question mark. For those of you that have or have had kids, you know what he's talking about. Derek explores why we lose that curiosity. Is it ego? Is it complacency? Is is because we are just so smart we suddenly know everything as we age? In this episode you will get a complete understanding of what shifted in Derek's life to become curious again and how it has massively impacted his life in many different ways. He takes his experience from his former clients that are massively successful and how questions and curiosity will separate out those that succeed and those that get left behind.

Derek lays out why it is so important to do something...ANYTHING, if you are in this situation right now.
