Today’s Topics: Frank Pavone joins Terry 1, 2, 3, 4) Gospel – Luke 11:14-23 – Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute, and when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke and the crowds were amazed. Some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, He drives out demons.” Others, to test Him, asked Him for a sign from heaven. But He knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste and house will fall against house. And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons. If I, then, drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your own people drive them out? Therefore they will be your judges. But if it is by the finger of God that I drive out demons, then the Kingdom of God has come upon you. When a strong man fully armed guards his palace, his possessions are safe. But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him, he takes away the armor on which he relied and distributes the spoils. Whoever is not with Me is against Me, and whoever does not gather with Me scatters.” Bishop Sheen quote of the day

10 Mar 26 – Sins of the Father
Today’s Topics: 1) Gospel – Matthew 18:21-35 – Peter approached Jesus and asked Him, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times. That is why the Kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who decided to settle accounts with his servants. When he began the accounting, a debtor was brought before him who owed him a huge amount. Since he had no way of paying it back, his master ordered him to be sold, along with his wife, his children, and all his property, in payment of the debt. At that, the servant fell down, did him homage, and said, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you back in full.’ Moved with compassion the master of that servant let him go and forgave him the loan. When that servant had left, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a much smaller amount. He seized him and started to choke him, demanding, ‘Pay back what you owe.’ Falling to his knees, his fellow servant begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.’ But he refused. Instead, he had him put in prison until he paid back the debt. Now when his fellow servants saw what had happened, they were deeply disturbed, and went to their master and reported the whole affair. His master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you your entire debt because you begged me to. Should you not have had pity on your fellow servant, as I had pity on you?’ Then in anger his master handed him over to the torturers until he should pay back the whole debt. So will My heavenly Father do to you, unless each of you forgives your brother from your heart.” Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2, 3, 4) Dr. Dan Schneider joins Terry to discuss his new book: Sins of the Father

09 Mar 26 – Offering It Up: From Our Cravings to Christ’s Agony
What does your morning coffee have to do with the agony in the garden? More than you might think. In this episode, we dive into St. Ignatius of Loyola’s surprisingly practical—and countercultural—rules for eating. Why did Ignatius say we should never fast from bread? Is refusing to eat food prepared a certain way actually a form of gluttony? And yes, we tackle the great coffee question: should you give it up for Lent, or is it a legitimate aid to your vocation? We’ll explore how fasting, properly understood, is not about self-punishment but about hope, trust, and training our hearts to depend on a strength bigger than ourselves. Then, we examine two high priests with two very different approaches to sacrifice. Caiaphas, the political operator, tears his robes in outrage and schemes to kill Jesus in order to “save the nation”—a plan that backfires spectacularly when Rome destroys Jerusalem just forty years later. Meanwhile, in John 17, the true High Priest prays—not for worldly power, but for unity, for consecration, and astonishingly, He shares His glory with us. (Spoiler: it has everything to do with the Eucharist.) Finally, we arrive in the Garden of Gethsemane. Here, Jesus gives us the ultimate blueprint for “offering it up”: honest anguish, complete surrender, and the union of our small sufferings with His redemptive love. If you’ve ever wondered why we fast, how to pray like a high priest, or what it really means to unite your suffering with Christ, this episode is for you.
09 Mar 26 – Franciscan Spirituality and Saint Bonaventure
Today’s Topics: Father Thomas Czeck, OFM Conv., joins Terry 1) Gospel – Luke 4:24-30 – Jesus said to the people in the synagogue at Nazareth: “Amen, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own native place. Indeed, I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah when the sky was closed for three and a half years and a severe famine spread over the entire land. It was to none of these that Elijah was sent, but only to a widow in Zarephath in the land of Sidon. Again, there were many lepers in Israel during the time of Elisha the prophet; yet not one of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.” When the people in the synagogue heard this, they were all filled with fury. They rose up, drove Him out of the town, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their town had been built, to hurl Him down headlong. But He passed through the midst of them and went away. 06 Mar 26 – Friday with the Fathers: How Jews Can Be Saved
Today’s Topics: Joshua Charles joins Terry for Friday with the Fathers 1) Gospel – Matthew 21:33-43, 45-46 – Jesus said to the chief priests and the elders of the people: “Hear another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a wine press in it, and built a tower. Then he leased it to tenants and went on a journey. When vintage time drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to obtain his produce. But the tenants seized the servants and one they beat, another they killed, and a third they stoned. Again he sent other servants, more numerous than the first ones, but they treated them in the same way. Finally, he sent his son to them, thinking, ‘They will respect my son.’ But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and acquire his inheritance.’ They seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What will the owner of the vineyard do to those tenants when he comes?” They answered him, “He will put those wretched men to a wretched death and lease his vineyard to other tenants who will give him the produce at the proper times.” Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes? Therefore, I say to you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that will produce its fruit.” When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard His parables, they knew that He was speaking about them. And although they were attempting to arrest Him, they feared the crowds, for they regarded Him as a prophet. 2, 3, 4) Terry and Joshua discuss today’s Gospel and a sermon of Saint Leo the Great

Today’s Topics: 1) Gospel – Luke 16:19-31 – Jesus said to the Pharisees: “There was a rich man who dressed in purple garments and fine linen and dined sumptuously each day. And lying at his door was a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who would gladly have eaten his fill of the scraps that fell from the rich man’s table. Dogs even used to come and lick his sores. When the poor man died, he was carried away by angels to the bosom of Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried, and from the netherworld, where he was in torment, he raised his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And he cried out, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me. Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering torment in these flames.’ Abraham replied, ‘My child, remember that you received what was good during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented. Moreover, between us and you a great chasm is established to prevent anyone from crossing who might wish to go from our side to yours or from your side to ours.’ He said, ‘Then I beg you, father, send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, so that he may warn them, lest they too come to this place of torment.’ But Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.’ He said, ‘Oh no, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ Then Abraham said, ‘If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.'” Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2, 3, 4) In Part 2, Al Smith joins Terry to continue discussing Bishop Sheen’s Reflections on the Passion of Christ

The names of the Twelve Apostles are these: first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus; Simon the Cananean, and Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus. Jesus sent out these Twelve after instructing them thus, “Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town. Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.'” Memorial of Saint Augustine Zhao Rong, Priest, and Companions, Martyrs Saint Augustine and Companions, pray for us! 03 Mar 26 – Bishop Sheen: Mentor and Friend
Today’s Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Gospel – Matthew 23:1-12 – Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples, saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees have taken their seat on the chair of Moses. Therefore, do and observe all things whatsoever they tell you, but do not follow their example. For they preach but they do not practice. They tie up heavy burdens hard to carry and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they will not lift a finger to move them. All their works are performed to be seen. They widen their phylacteries and lengthen their tassels. They love places of honor at banquets, seats of honor in synagogues, greetings in marketplaces, and the salutation ‘Rabbi.’ As for you, do not be called ‘Rabbi.’ You have but one Teacher, and you are all brothers. Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven. Do not be called ‘Master’; you have but one Master, the Christ. The greatest among you must be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.” Memorial of Saint Katharine Drexel, Virgin Saint Katharine, pray for us! Bishop Sheen quote of the day

For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.” Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2, 3, 4) Terry and Father Thomas discuss the Marian Foundations of Franciscan Spirituality and Saint Maximilian Kolbe
02 Mar 26 – The Humanity of Christ, Our Freedom, and the Real Presence
Today’s Topics: Who is Jesus the Nazarean, really? Not the distant icon, but the Man Who walked the earth? In this episode, we take a deep dive into the humanity of Christ. We walk through the six phases of His life—from the Incarnation to His Passion—and examine the radical humility of a God Who chose to be born in a manger because of the pride of a Roman emperor But meeting Jesus forces us to make a choice. We explore the classic meditation of the Two Standards: the tyranny of Lucifer, who rules through fear and empty promises, versus the companionship of Christ, Who leads us to perfection without a throne Finally, we ask the question that ties it all together: Where is Jesus now? We reflect on the Eucharist as the continuation of His humility—the same God Who hid His glory in flesh now hides His glory under the appearances of bread and wine If you have ever struggled with the question of suffering, the nature of true freedom, or how to encounter Christ in your daily life, this episode is for you
16 Mar 26 – Franciscan Spirituality: Hidden Secrets of the Franciscan Order
Today’s Topics: Father Thomas Czeck, OFM Conv., joins Terry 1) Gospel – John 4:43-54 – At that time Jesus left [Samaria] for Galilee. For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his native place. When He came into Galilee, the Galileans welcomed Him, since they had seen all He had done in Jerusalem at the feast; for they themselves had gone to the feast. Then He returned to Cana in Galilee, where He had made the water wine. Now there was a royal official whose son was ill in Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to Him and asked Him to come down and heal his son, who was near death. Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will not believe.” The royal official said to him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.” Jesus said to him, “You may go; your son will live.” The man believed what Jesus said to him and left. While the man was on his way back, his slaves met him and told him that his boy would live. He asked them when he began to recover. They told him, “The fever left him yesterday, about one in the afternoon.” The father realized that just at that time Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live,” and he and his whole household came to believe. Now this was the second sign Jesus did when He came to Galilee from Judea. Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2, 3, 4) Terry and Father Thomas discuss Franciscan Spirituality and the hidden secrets of the Franciscan Order
27 Feb 26 – Friday with the Fathers: Saint Pope Leo the Great, Pt. 2
Today’s Topics: Joshua Charles joins Terry for Friday with the Fathers 1) Gospel –Matthew 5:20-26 – Jesus said to his disciples: “I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter into the Kingdom of heaven. “You have heard that it was said to your ancestors, You shall not kill; and whoever kills will be liable to judgment. But I say to you, whoever is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment, and whoever says to his brother, Raqa, will be answerable to the Sanhedrin, and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ will be liable to fiery Gehenna. Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar, and there recall that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there at the altar, go first and be reconciled with your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Settle with your opponent quickly while on the way to court. Otherwise your opponent will hand you over to the judge, and the judge will hand you over to the guard, and you will be thrown into prison. Amen, I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.” Memorial of Saint Gregory of Narek, Abbot and Doctor of the Church Saint Gregory, pray for us! For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which one of you would hand his son a stone when he asked for a loaf of bread, or a snake when he asked for a fish? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask Him. “Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets.” Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2, 3, 4) Terry interviews Camey Joy about her journey in the Faith

Today’s Topics: 1, 2) Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen warned: “(Satan) will set up a counter-church which will be the ape of the (Catholic) Church… It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content.” Sister Lucia: “The final battle between the Lord and the reign of Satan will be about marriage and the family. Don’t be afraid … because anyone who operates for the sanctity of marriage and the family will always be contended and opposed in every way, because this is the decisive issue … however, Our Lady has already crushed its head” 3, 4) Scandals in Church
25 Feb 26 – 20 Powerful Quotes from Saints for Lent
Today’s Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Father Charles Murr joins Terry Gospel – Luke 11:29-32 – While still more people gathered in the crowd, Jesus said to them, “This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah. Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. At the judgment the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation and she will condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and there is something greater than Solomon here. At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because at the preaching of Jonah they repented, and there is something greater than Jonah here.” Bishop Sheen quote of the day

Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. “This is how you are to pray: Our Father Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. “If you forgive men their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.” Bishop Sheen quote of the day 2, 3, 4) Dr. Peter Howard joins Terry to discuss the Great Apostasy and the End Times

23 Feb 26 – A King’s Call: Saint Ignatius Guide Through Lent
What would you say if an honorable king invited you to share his food, wear his clothing, and fight alongside him—promising that if you share in his labor, you will also share in his victory? In this episode, we dive into the Second Week of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, exploring the profound meditation on The Call of the Eternal King. We reflect on Christ not as a distant ruler, but as a King who suffers with us, invites us into intimate service, and asks only that we lend Him our efforts—no matter how small. We confront the excuses that hold us back: “I’m too tired.” “I can’t do it right.” “My contribution won’t matter.” Through the lens of Ignatian indifference, we discover that God isn’t waiting for us to conquer the world—He’s waiting for us to offer whatever we can, right now. Then, we turn to the mystery at the heart of our faith: The Incarnation. When the Second Person of the Trinity became man, He didn’t cease to be God. We explore how the early Church understood this truth—from baptisms in the name of Jesus to the vision of Stephen the Martyr—revealing the Triune God present in every moment of salvation history. Whether you feel strong or weak, capable or inadequate, this episode is an invitation to offer yourself fully to the King who desires not your perfection, but your presence.
23 Feb 26 – Evangelizing Those Around You
Today’s Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Gospel – Mark 5:21-43 – When Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around Him, and he stayed close to the sea. One of the synagogue officials, named Jairus, came forward. Seeing Him he fell at his feet and pleaded earnestly with Him, saying, “My daughter is at the point of death. Please, come lay your hands on her that she may get well and live.” He went off with him and a large crowd followed Him. There was a woman afflicted with hemorrhages for twelve years. She had suffered greatly at the hands of many doctors and had spent all that she had. Yet she was not helped but only grew worse. She had heard about Jesus and came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His cloak. She said, “If I but touch His clothes, I shall be cured.” Immediately her flow of blood dried up. She felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction. Jesus, aware at once that power had gone out from Him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who has touched My clothes?” But His disciples said to Him, “You see how the crowd is pressing upon You, and yet You ask, Who touched Me?” And He looked around to see who had done it. The woman, realizing what had happened to her, approached in fear and trembling. She fell down before Jesus and told Him the whole truth. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be cured of your affliction.” While He was still speaking, people from the synagogue official’s house arrived and said, “Your daughter has died; why trouble the teacher any longer?” Disregarding the message that was reported, Jesus said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid; just have faith.” He did not allow anyone to accompany Him inside except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James. When they arrived at the house of the synagogue official, He caught sight of a commotion, people weeping and wailing loudly. So He went in and said to them, “Why this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but asleep.” And they ridiculed Him. Then He put them all out. He took along the child’s father and mother and those who were with hHim and entered the room where the child was. He took the child by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise!” The girl, a child of twelve, arose immediately and walked around. At that they were utterly astounded. He gave strict orders that no one should know this and said that she should be given something to eat. Bishop Sheen quote of the day

When you give alms, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets to win the praise of others. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right is doing, so that your almsgiving may be secret. And your Father Who sees in secret will repay you. “When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, who love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on street corners so that others may see them. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father Who sees in secret will repay you. “When you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites. They neglect their appearance, so that they may appear to others to be fasting. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you may not appear to be fasting, except to your Father Who is hidden. And your Father Who sees what is hidden will repay you.” Ash Wednesday Bishop Sheen quote of the day

Jesus enjoined them, “Watch out, guard against the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.” They concluded among themselves that it was because they had no bread. When He became aware of this He said to them, “Why do you conclude that it is because you have no bread? Do you not yet understand or comprehend? Are your hearts hardened? Do you have eyes and not see, ears and not hear? And do you not remember, when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many wicker baskets full of fragments you picked up?” They answered Him, “Twelve.” “When I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many full baskets of fragments did you pick up?” They answered him, “Seven.” He said to them, “Do you still not understand?” Memorial of the Seven Founders of the Order of Servites, Religious Seven Founders, pray for us!
