Bad nudes
In the news this week is an alarming story accompanied by photographs of captured Palestinian men who had been stripped nearly naked and lined up side by side, with vague and conflicting reports of whether the men were civilians. Regardless, the images have caused outrage and bring to mind other, similar instances of forced nakedness seen in recent news, history books, and documentaries, from my own country and from others, committed against prisoners, marginalized groups, and indigenous peoples. I’m sure you can recall for yourself—likely more than one case—without any help from me. It wasn’t more than a few weeks prior that a very different story began running through the news cycle: A troubling trend of teenage girls whose likeness had been taken without their consent and, with the help of AI, had been used to create deepfake nude photos and pornography, violating the girls’ claim to their own bodies and their right to decide when and where and who has access to them. Certainly, in the context of the war, terrorism, and indiscriminate loss of life taking place in Israel and Gaza, forced disrobement is perhaps the least of the atrocities. Likewise, fake nude and sexual images generated using someone’s likeness are arguably less atrocious than distributing someone’s actual, private, nude or sexual photos, and decidedly less so than cases of real-world physical or sexual abuse and harassment. None of these cases, however, are trivial just because the offense could have been worse.Though the contexts of these stories are very different, the impact of these forms of nonconsensual nudity remains the same: demoralization, humiliation, and dehumanization of the subjects. Both cases serve to strip a person or people of their pride, their self-worth, and their ownership of their bodies within a larger context of systemic oppression toward vulnerable groups or individuals. Though perhaps less atrocious than other offenses, it serves no one to diminish the traumatic impact of such acts, to downplay the importance of maintaining ownership and decision-making power over one’s body. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/bad-nudesWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/bad-nudes-pod This is a public episode. The Füde Experience: A paradigm shift for naturism
As an advocate for naturism, I am always looking for ways to introduce the philosophy to those unfamiliar with its positive aspects. I came across an article about The Füde Experience, which piqued my interest. This innovative program, founded by Charlie Ann Max, combines social nudity, plant-based cuisine, and transformative themes in a series of dinner parties. Despite initial skepticism brought on by the mainstream media’s often sensationalized portrayal of nudity, I decided to explore this intriguing alternative. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/the-fude-experience-a-paradigm-shiftWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/the-fude-experience-a-paradigm-shift-pod This is a public episode. Walt Whitman: A poet in nature
Walt Whitman, often hailed as a great American poet, profoundly influenced the naturism movement. His personal experiences, particularly those related to nature, shaped his views on the sanctity of the human body and its connection to the natural world. Whitman's ideas resonated with prominent figures like Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, and Edward Carpenter, fostering a deeper appreciation for naturism. His legacy continues to inspire a closer, harmonious relationship with nature and body freedom. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/walt-whitman-a-poet-in-natureWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/walt-whitman-a-poet-in-nature-pod This is a public episode. Get naked and dance!
I’ve been taking dance classes for almost three years now. I decided I wanted to learn how to dance in order to form a better relationship with my body, to be less stiff and inexpressive in how I carry myself, and to hopefully become a better art model. It very quickly turned into a passion, and a little over a year later I danced in my first performances, which led to the creation of a new dance group with some friends called Embodied Art Dance. Our focus is on combining performing and visual arts, emphasizing the human form through movement and figure drawing.I’m still very new to dance; particularly the cultures that have developed around it. I’ve been reading more on the subject and have been pleasantly surprised by how it connects with my passion for nudism as well. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/get-naked-and-danceWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/get-naked-and-dance-pod This is a public episode. Wisconsin Senate Committee takes its turn advancing anti-nudity legislation
MADISON, WI – In yet another development in the ongoing legislative saga, the Wisconsin Senate Committee on Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention, Children and Families has now passed the contentious Senate Bills 477 & 478. In this latest advancement, both bills passed by party-line 3-2 votes during the executive session on November 28th, mirroring the party-line vote that was held on the bills just two weeks ago by the Assembly Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety, and underscoring the partisan divide on the issue of public nudity and civil liberties. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/wisconsin-senate-committee-takesWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/wisconsin-senate-committee-takes-pod This is a public episode. Nudism at a crossroads in California
In California’s naturist communities, there’s an ongoing struggle to preserve a culture under threat, with no less than four naturist clubs facing an impending or recent change of ownership. As residents at well-known naturist spots like Desert Sun Resort and DeAnza Springs Resort conflict with reluctant owners, and others like Olive Dell Ranch and Lupin Lodge face potential sales, a crucial question emerges: How can a culture of naturism be protected amidst these changes? 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/nudism-at-a-crossroads-in-californiaWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/nudism-at-a-crossroads-in-california-pod This is a public episode. On embracing external support for nudism
Nudists and naturists need allies beyond our community—supportive individuals, regardless of their attire, who are willing to advocate for us. We need to cultivate those communities among people we trust, and we need our national and regional organizations to do the same. We need not to gatekeep when people speak up on our behalf, and we need these relationships with the cultural and social majority to serve as a bulwark against retrogressive anti-nudity laws that are being and will be pursued across the country. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/on-embracing-external-support-forWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/on-embracing-external-support-for-pod This is a public episode. Petition launched to save Seattle's nude beach
Denny Blaine Park, an iconic nudist and queer-friendly space in Seattle, Washington, is facing a significant change. The City of Seattle is planning to add a children’s play area to this popular park, renowned for its clothing-optional beach and as a queer community hub. The proposed play area, intended to fill a gap in local amenities, is slated to be built on the park’s northwest edge, an area with public access to Lake Washington. Amidst these developments, a petition was launched to halt the construction of the play area, rapidly gaining hundreds of supporters within the first 24 hours of its creation. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/petition-launched-to-save-seattlesWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/petition-launched-to-save-seattles-pod This is a public episode. Go with the flow
India Rakusen’s 2022 podcast, 28ish Days Later, explores the whole bloody story of the menstrual cycle. Early in the series, she introduces the concept of mapping your cycles phases to seasons in a year – winter (menstruation), spring (follicular phase), summer (ovulatory phase), and autumn (luteal phase). Not only is this concept empowering in terms of understanding shifts in moods and energies, I can’t help but think—what could be more naturist? In many aspects, the menstrual cycle is one of the most natural connections to the earth and moon. (Men’s cycles are more like the day/night cycle, with moods and hormones rising and falling in 24-hour cycles.) In some ways, naturists are aware of this and celebrate it, but in other more practical applications and engrained thinking, there is a lot of oppression. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/go-with-the-flowWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/go-with-the-flow-pod This is a public episode. ‘Naked Fear’ book review
Naked Fear: Anti-Body Myths, Phobias, Delusions, and the Madness of Modesty (2010) is the full title of the second book from Dennis Craig Smith, his first being the Naked Child: Growing Up Without Shame (1981), which is known for its informal study Smith performed interviewing adults who had grown up in naturism to dispel stigmas associated with child exposure to nudity. Naked Fear could be seen as the flipside of the earlier study: the book takes an exhaustive look at the anti-body culture that has been established by western civilization, highlighting specific people and organizations responsible for such repressive attitudes and how these attitudes are maintained. Aggressive in tone and fragmented feeling at times, Naked Fear is otherwise an informative book on the history of western colonial society’s efforts to censor the naked body and avoid any discussion of its parts and functions. However, at least for me, it had a few other issues. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/naked-fear-2010-book-reviewWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/naked-fear-book-review-pod This is a public episode. Inside the Wisconsin Assembly’s latest hearing on anti-nudity bills
The Wisconsin Assembly Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety conducted its first public hearing on the proposed anti-nudity bills, AB 503 and 504, this past Tuesday. The two bills are written to target and effectively outlaw the World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) in the state. In contrast to the previous public hearing convened last month by the Wisconsin Senate Committee on Mental Health, Substance Abuse Prevention, Children, and Families—which was held with almost no advance notice—Tuesday's hearing was scheduled with at least a week's notice. This enabled activists across the state to more effectively organize their efforts to attend and voice their opposition to the restrictive legislation. Consequently, the committee witnessed a diverse range of citizen speakers delivering compelling and coordinated testimony against the bills, bolstered by impassioned arguments against their enactment, and only two speakers in support of the bills, both of whom are legislators who are responsible for the bills’ authorship. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/inside-the-wisconsin-assemblys-latestWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/inside-the-wisconsin-assemblys-latest-pod This is a public episode. The spiritual dance of nudity: Interview with a Wiccan
In the realm of contemporary spirituality, a unique connection exists between Wicca and naturism. Today, I aim to explore this intricate relationship with Liam Cyfrin, an Australian-born writer and editor who currently resides in the United States. Liam has made notable contributions to the modern world of Wicca, including co-editing Shadowplay Magazine since its inception in 1984, and regularly contributing articles to an Australian magazine called WitchCraft. He has also collaborated with musician and author Fiona Horne on several books, including Witch: A Personal Journey (1998) and Pop! Goes the Witch: The Disinformation Guide to 21st Century Witchcraft (2004). Notably, Liam is a lifelong naturist, and he asserts that this lifestyle seamlessly aligns with both Wicca and the modern Pagan movement. In asking him for an interview, it was my hope to explore the spiritual significance of nudity in Wicca through Liam’s experience, to examine the intersection between Wicca and naturism, and hopefully to touch on the historical context and ethical principles that underpin this enigmatic practice. Those are lofty aims for a short article, but hopefully if we fall short of achieving those goals it will at least have been an enjoyable read. More trouble in Madison: Wisconsin anti-nude bills advance to State Assembly
At the close of last month, the Wisconsin State Senate introduced bills SB 477 and SB 478, measures that immediately rang alarm bells for advocates of body freedom and civil liberties. These bills aim to criminalize all public nudity in Wisconsin, using a particularly conservative definition of nudity. Adding to the concern, administrative action followed when the state Department of Natural Resources announced new rule amendments that threaten to outlaw nudity on state lands. In a concerning development yesterday, Assembly Bills 503 and 504 were introduced in the Wisconsin State Assembly and referred to the Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety. These bills serve as the lower house counterparts to Senate Bills 477 and 478, a necessary step for the legislation to advance beyond committee stages in both chambers. Given its influential role in vetting crime-related legislation, the Assembly's Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety will be a focal point for advocates tracking these bills. 🪐 🪐NAC Action Alert: https://www.planetnude.co/p/nac-action-alert-wisconsin-sb477"Double Standards in Dairyland": https://www.planetnude.co/p/double-standards-in-dairylandWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/more-trouble-in-madison-wisconsin-podRead the original article for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/more-trouble-in-madison-wisconsin This is a public episode. Wisconsin nudity ban: DNR throws a curveball
Wisconsin has historically lacked state anti-nudity laws, but recent legislative bills are causing concern among naturists. These bills aim to criminalize public nudity, particularly the World Naked Bike Ride, and restrict minors from events involving adult nudity. If passed, they could lead to Class A misdemeanor charges with fines of up to $10,000 and nine months in prison. Simultaneously, Wisconsin's Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has proposed rule amendments, partly related to the closure of Mazomanie Beach in 2016, that threaten to ban nudity on state lands. These changes, separate from the legislative bills, could essentially criminalize public nudity statewide. The combination of these legal shifts poses a significant challenge to naturists in the state. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/wisconsin-nudity-ban-dnr-throws-aWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/wisconsin-nudity-ban-dnr-throws-a-pod This is a public episode. Unpacking new U.S. Forest Service proposals' potential impact on naturism
The U.S. Forest Service, under the Department of Agriculture, has unveiled a new proposal aimed at revising its criminal prohibitions, and they are currently seeking comment from the public. At first glance, the core intent of these modifications appears to be the containment of aggressive and illicit behaviors on Forest lands. In the nuanced language of the proposal, nudity or nudism is not explicitly addressed. However, there are broad terminologies and ambiguous phrases in the rules that warrant the attention of the naturist community. In navigating through this bureaucratic tapestry, I bring forth my personal interpretation—cultivated from a personal perspective and admittedly with a modest expertise in the labyrinth of legislative language. Double standards in dairyland
The 13th annual ride in Madison was, by all measures, a success. Over the years, the city has seen all kinds of participants—first-timers, recurring attendees, local advocates, and families. Among the nearly 200 who participated this year was a young girl no older than ten and her mother. The mother saw it as an opportunity to teach her daughter valuable lessons—not just about body positivity but also self-empowerment, giving her the option to dress however she chose. The young girl chose to participate nude just like everyone else, a choice respected and supported by her mother and, indeed, aligned with the event’s clothing-optional policy. Yet the girl's presence, entirely unremarkable in the international scope of World Naked Bike Rides, has nonetheless ignited a moralistic media controversy that has escalated to the national level. In the latest development of the continuing saga, proposed measures now aim to redefine public decency laws in Wisconsin, sparking a national debate that could alter the course of body freedom in the state and jeopardize naturist events like this one going forward. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/double-standards-in-dairylandWebpage for this episode: https://www.planetnude.co/p/double-standards-in-dairyland-pod This is a public episode. The cover photo was captioned, “The Naked Guy—A New Micro-Culture?”1Andrew Martinez’s nude activism began several years before he arrived in Berkeley. According to a 2006 article in the New York Times, in the summer of 1990, at seventeen, Martinez had “fallen under the nonconformist spell of Henry David Thoreau” and began questioning the rationality of having to wear clothing in 90-degree weather. After requesting the permission of several neighbors in his Cupertino, California hometown, Martinez walked down Highway 9 “wearing nothing and carrying a sign that read, ‘I was born naked and so were you.’”2 He was quickly arrested, but his nude protests did not end. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/andrew-martinez-and-the-nude-microclimate

A sexless* paradise
The tension between sexual and non-sexual nudity has long been a point of contention in nudist communities. Historically, figures like Maurice Parmelee and Jan Gay promoted sexual openness within nudism, while some club owners eschewed it to maintain respectability. This dual relationship mirrors society's broader struggle to differentiate between sexual and non-sexual nudity, often exacerbated by sexual repression. Achieving body liberation demands acknowledging both sexual and non-sexual expressions as interwoven aspects of human existence. Ignoring one aspect for the sake of the other will continue to perpetuate shame, confusion, and stigma around the human body. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/a-sexless-paradise This is a public episode. Clothed in a cause
In 2023, online naturist advocacy appears somewhat monotonous, following certain well-trodden paths. Digital platforms feature familiar nudists participating in the mundane, sometimes picturesque activities of daily life, always in the buff, as part of an earnest attempt to "normalize" naturism. This simple exposure seeks to counteract the overwhelming excess of sexualized nudity portrayed in mainstream media and porn. It's akin to a naked David, armed only with a sling to confront the Goliathan presence of entrenched cultural taboos. Often the tweets, photos, and blog posts that circulate, intended as an act of defiance, are drowned out in the noise of a world that seems irreversibly tethered to its textiles. While I'm no stranger to this form of advocacy, and even partake in it myself, I'm compelled to ask: Are we missing the mark on effectively normalizing nudism? 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/clothed-in-a-cause This is a public episode. Reverend Braxton Sawyer: The crusading anti-nudist of Arkansas

The fledgling nudist camp, run by a local dance instructor named Fred C. Ring and his wife, Ophelia, was spied on by authorities after a neighbor of the property, a social worker named Mary Angier, filed an official complaint against the nudists. The raid set the stage for Fred and Ophelia Ring to become the first individuals successfully prosecuted for nudism in the U.S., laying the groundwork for future battles over body freedom and personal liberties. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/ring-reverberates This is a public episode. The nudists of Sager's Lake
The history of Lake O' The Woods Club is in many ways just a chapter in the larger history of Sager's Lake, a cherished local recreational spot in Valparaiso, Indiana for generations. Over the lake’s most recent 90 years, the nudists from Lake O’ The Woods Club have faced societal shifts, legal challenges, and community skepticism. Despite this, the club’s mission—offering a sanctuary for those seeking a life closer to nature—remains unchanged. Today, the club stands not merely as a vestige of naturist ideals, but as a living, evolving community that has adapted to modern life while preserving the freedom and natural beauty its founders sought. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/a-beautiful-lake-in-the-woods This is a public episode. Revisiting Educating Julie
1984’s Educating Julie, produced by Heritage Video International in collaboration with British Naturism (known at the time as the Central Council for British Naturism) breaks away from many of the typical issues nudist films suffer from, the first video feature made by nudists for nudists, while still holding on to a particular story formula that filmmakers like Doris Wishman stuck to. 🪐Read the original article at https://www.planetnude.co/p/revisiting-educating-julie This is a public episode. ‘Running Around Naked’ book review
Running Around Naked is not your everyday memoir. It is a true story that entices the reader to peek over the fence into the life of a girl whose normality was found within the confines of a nudist camp. Jelaine Lombardi takes readers along through her upbringing in the Seminole Health Club, a nudist camp owned by her parents. For those not accustomed to the sometimes insular culture of social nudism, it might feel like a nostalgic look at another world. For folks like myself who have a familiarity with the world of nudist clubs and conventions, I believe the setting is all the more rewarding to behold. 🪐Read the original article at https://www.planetnude.co/p/running-around-naked-book-review This is a public episode. How Oh! Calcutta! used nudity to affect culture
Oh! Calcutta! is an avant-garde play written by several British authors, including Samuel Beckett, John Lennon, Edna O’Brien, and created by Kenneth Tynan, which premiered in 1969 in Paris. It is a series of sketches, vignettes, and short plays that explore themes of love, sexuality, and human relationships. The play is notable for its use of full frontal nudity and sexual themes, and it was one of the first plays to feature nude actors on stage. 🪐Read the original article at https://www.planetnude.co/p/how-oh-calcutta-used-nudity-to-affect This is a public episode. The intellectual rebel
One could argue that the American naturist movement reached its intellectual crescendo in the 1980s and early 1990s under the leadership of Lee Baxandall. While nudist magazines had largely dissolved into soft core pornography in the late 1960s and indeed throughout the 1970s, and many nudist parks had begun to embrace more subversive (and profitable) activities – nude pageants, lingerie dances, and swinging – Baxandall sought to reconnect the movement to a larger purpose, intertwined with feminism, environmentalism, intellectualism, and social justice, informed by his decades of work as a writer and political activist. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/the-intellectual-rebel This is a public episode. Naked nostalgia: Skinny dipping in pop culture
A common practice since the dawn of man, skinny dipping has naturally found its way into various forms of literature and art over the years. Often, it is portrayed as a rebellious rite of passage for American kids, especially boys. The act of skinny dipping usually represents a physical and symbolic shedding of innocence; a way to break free. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/naked-nostalgia This is a public episode. The "Fire Light" who brought nudism to Brazil
Luz Del Fuego was a Brazilian feminist, performer, snake charmer, and naturist who rose to fame in the 1940s for her highly controversial nude dance performances. Born Dora Vivacqua in 1917, she later adopted the stage name Luz Del Fuego, inspired by an Argentinian lipstick brand. Luz Del Fuego was not only known for her unique beauty, but also for her intelligence, passionate spirit, and gumption. She was a controversial figure for her use of nudity in dance and activism, who used her fame as a platform to criticize political hypocrisy and advocate for social reform. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/the-fire-light-who-brought-nudism This is a public episode. Olive Dell Ranch listed for sale
In a potential development that could send ripples through the nudist community of Southern California, Olive Dell Ranch has been listed for sale. However, the club’s general manager insists that the long-standing Riverside County nudist resort is not actually for sale, leaving some in the community concerned and scratching their heads. This confusing news comes on the heels of another announcement just last week regarding DeAnza Springs Resort instituting a clothing-mandatory policy. Should Olive Dell Ranch hypothetically be purchased by a new owner uninterested in running a nudist camp, Glen Eden Sun Club could become the only family nude resort left in the region. So is Olive Dell Ranch really for sale? It’s hard to say. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/olive-dell-ranch-listed-for-sale This is a public episode. DeAnza gets dressed
A recent decision by DeAnza Springs Resort’s management marks a significant turning point in the history of one of America's largest and most remote nudist resorts. After nearly three decades of providing a place for naturists to embrace the freedom and comfort of social nudity, DeAnza Springs Resort has decided to adopt a clothing-mandatory policy, they announced on Monday. 🪐Read the original article: https://www.planetnude.co/p/deanza-gets-dressed This is a public episode. A history of nudism in Tennessee
The history of organized nudism and naturism in Tennessee began much earlier than one might imagine. Nudists familiar with the state can likely identify Tennessee’s trio of lodges: Timberline Lodge (1964 to 2003), Rock Haven Lodge (1969 to present), and Cherokee Lodge (1993-2014). But several nudist groups, some with unimproved camping areas, were operating in the state long before Timberline opened. This three-part written history, the first of its kind to our knowledge, explores the under-appreciated realm of Tennessee nudism, and uncovers the pioneering figures and significant groups that have decisively influenced the national nudism narrative, shedding new light on an often-overlooked aspect of American social history. 🪐Read the original articles:Part 1 - “They were made of stern stuff, fired with determination”Part 2 - “All those Tennessee people will be heroes”Part 3 - “The good old summertime is almost over” This is a public episode. The true north strong and nude
Summer 1986. Near the picturesque James River in Alberta, Petra Scheller stood naked under the hot sun, gazing out at a crowd of equally naked people staring skeptically back at her. They listened but appeared unconvinced of the gospel she’d come to spread. An evangelist of the just-established Federation of Canadian Naturists (FCN), Scheller was on a mission, sharing the faith that the time was nigh to unite nude Canucks from coast to coast to coast. 🪐Read the original article at https://www.planetnude.co/p/the-true-north-strong-and-nude This is a public episode. The Monster of Camp Sunshine
I’ve never seen anything quite like the Monster of Camp Sunshine. The bare essentials of home nudism
The COVID-19 pandemic ushered in an unexpected shift in societal habits, one of which was a surge in the practice of home nudism, or domestic naturism. While being naked at home is nothing new, this basic practice—characterized by embracing comfort and freedom within one's home environment—has become a novel way for people to redefine their relationship with their bodies and their living spaces. For most, being nude is a passive, even furtive thing, but when done mindfully, domestic naturism can become a practice, not unlike yoga or meditation, that has the potential to enrich your health and happiness. But how does one begin this transformative journey? 🪐Read the original article at https://www.planetnude.co/p/the-bare-essentials-of-home-nudism This is a public episode. How nude figure drawing helped me find myself
This month, my figure drawing group Defining Bodies will be seven years old. The group’s setup and membership have changed a LOT in those seven years, far from our humble Facebook origins, but I think today we’re stronger than we’ve ever been. As of this writing, I just recently finished taking down our first ever group art show, and am counting down the days before we get to meet up again on a private farm where we can be nude and make art outdoors. 🪐Read the original article at https://www.planetnude.co/p/how-nude-figure-drawing-helped-me This is a public episode. The annual mooning of the Amtrak
Of all the nude holidays and events taking place during Nude Recreation Week, the award for "most irreverent" undoubtedly goes to the annual Mooning of the Amtrak in Laguna Niguel, California. Of course, the perennial mooning is not officially tied to Nude Recreation Week, but the cheeky spirit of the yearly occasion aligns remarkably well with the week's celebration of body positivity and liberation. 🪐Read the original article at https://www.planetnude.co/p/annual-mooning-of-the-amtrak This is a public episode. Navigating the public nudity hysteria
As summer ushers in a wave of colorful parades and joyous events, nudity in public spaces has come under the spotlight yet again, fueled by sensationalized narratives and social media. This harmful discourse associates nudity with perversion, endangering both nudists and the LGBTQ+ community. Critics exploit these misconceptions, weaponizing public nudity to attack and spread fear. To counter this manufactured controversy, we must understand its manipulative nature and respond with a nuanced approach that addresses the underlying issue. Tearing down others who express nudity differently won't solve the moral panic. 🪐Read the original article at https://www.planetnude.co/p/navigating-the-public-nudity-hysteria This is a public episode.
