Prof. Carl Baudenbacher ist ein international anerkannter Experte für europäisches, schweizerisches und internationales Wirtschaftsrecht. Zwischen 1987 und 2013 hatte er den Lehrstuhl für Privat-, Handels- und Wirtschaftsrecht an der Universität St. Gallen HSG inne. Von 1995 bis April 2018 war er Richter am EFTA-Gerichtshof, von 2003 bis 2017 dessen Präsident.
