Peace Christian Church - Rockhampton

Continuing from Last week's message, John shows us how to to pray for Fellowship in the City of Rockhampton, and uses the Bible to show how some things in the Bible are represented by "Types and Antitypes". In order to get answers to prayer, you must believe. John shows us the Spiritual principles that apply to prayer for individuals also applies to prayer for Cities. Through Faith, Will, Authority, and aligning your will with the Lord, you can receive answers to prayer.

"Rockhampton to be the City of Fellowship, of communion, of brotherly love, and of peace. And for the presence of the Lord Jesus to be all through the city." The phrase above was given to John when he asked the Lord for a word for Peace TV's local city. In this message, John explains the word "fellowship" and directs us to pray for the fulfilment of this word.

Throughout the Bible, God gives his people instructions that they misinterpret. A key example, God promised Israel a king, but a king that God would choose. This King would be the Messiah: Christ. But the people wanted a king like the nations around them. David shows us that we should look to Jesus for the answer to our problems, and how focusing on him is the only solution we need.

One of the issues that David has noticed in preaching the Apostolic message, is that the very term "Apostolic" is poorly understood. And so, David devised a strategy to overcome this problem... Listen along to find out how he did it!

Preceding Peace Church's week of Listening prayer, David tells us about why we should eagerly desire wisdom. Using proverbs given to Solomon by David, he shows us that we must listen to gain wisdom.

Are you feeling comfortable? David shows us the biggest obstacle to our growth: Feeling too Comfortable to MOVE. In order to change, you need to be willing to allow the Lord to do his work in you.

People everywhere are searching — for meaning, direction, peace. Some look to spirituality, some to self-help, some to anything that promises answers. But what if the hope they’re looking for is already closer than they realise? This message calls us to rediscover what we carry in Christ, and to stop treating faith as an add-on instead of a light meant to be seen.

How do you "gird up the loins of your mind?" Continuing the thought from David's message, Philip takes us to Proverbs 6:30-31, and relates it to how Satan is a thief. Turning to 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, he applies the proverb to our thoughts.

Opening up to 2 Corinthians 5:9, John calls us to make it our goal to please the Lord. Looking at the example of the Corinthians, (as recorded in an unsigned letter from Rome during the persecution of Domitian) John shows us that we should daily seek the Lord in order to live Righteous lives.

Whenever the average person thinks of the Biblical "Millennium", they think of Jesus establishing a physical kingdom on earth in our future! But John shows us, using the Bible, that we are already in the Messianic age! And that Jesus is already ruling and reigning in Heaven! John explains further the huge implications of the messianic rule of Christ.

When the Bible tells us to "Gird Up the Loins of your Mind", what does it mean? David explains the meaning of a very confusing passage of scripture, and shows us how the Bible can change between translations. Mentally preparing ourselves in our daily walk is a prudent part of being a Christian, watch this video to learn why!

It is 2026! Around this time, many people are setting new resolutions for themselves, but are they "Crowning the year?" John tells us through the word and illustrations from himself and others the very real benefits of dedicating the year to the Lord Every Day!

There are things which Christians disagree about, such as what is the best Bible version, or whether to homeschool, or even whether to have vaccines or not. In Bible times there were many things which Paul called disputable matters. What should our approach be towards other believers who see things differently to us on a variety of day-to-day things?

Most people follow a path in life they are not even consciously aware they are following, but its a path that they feel is in their best interests. Very few ask the question, 'What does the Lord want me to do?' But it is in serving the Lord that life becomes meaningful. Even a mundane life in the Lord's will has the most powerful significance.
