Our lives are temporary and in order to be fruitful Christians we need to walk day-by-day with the Eternal Word, Jesus Christ. In this practical message, John encourages us to believe God again, going to him with a list of things that only he can do.

What is advent and why is it so important? David Alley answers this question in today’s message and commences his advent series on Hope.

In this message John continues to take us through the book of Hebrews, explaining how everything is better in Christ. This message will encourage you to understand more clearly the book of Hebrews and also that not all of the bible is to be taken literally but is pointing us towards Christ.

The purpose of God before the foundation of the world, was to provide salvation to all who would put their faith in Jesus.When Jesus spoke of the new wine and wineskin, he was in fact referring to his own body. The intent of the 'old' covenant was to point us to the real sanctifying power. It was an illustration, to point us to Jesus.This message will encourage you to understand more clearly the book of Hebrews and see the marvellous wisdom of God working through generations to bring us to himself. John will take us through the book of Hebrews over the next few months, commencing with Hebrews 1.

God our father is all merciful. His dealings with man throughout time have all pointed towards Jesus, who would become mercy for us all. The mercy he shows us, is his nature and is offered out of love. This message will encourage you to show mercy to others, or if you're in need of mercy, direct you to Jesus.

Commencing with the words of St Paul, David Alley clarifies the confusion around the different types of 'Israel' mentioned in the bible and outlines the danger of interpreting Israel as always meaning the country of today.Did you know that the country of Israel isn't actually mentioned in the bible?The Lord was always pointing towards the body of Christ as being the children of the promise or faith or Abrahams seed. The promise land is a illustration of what we have in Christ!This message will help you pray for the current situation in Israel and Palestine and also help you understand what the Bible means when it mentions Israel.

Being in faith, is largely being fully aware that God has heard your prayer and intends to answer it. David encourages us in this message to see faith not as something that begins in us and striving for something to happen but rather we should be more aware of who God is, and be fully reliant on his life and power to answer our prayers. It's a shift from our works to his Grace.

Salvation is a miracle for us all and in this message David reminds us that it's up to God to change people not us. We need not strive to be witnesses but allow God's power to be a witness through our lives.

As Christians we're called to be a living sacrifice. It's not just about doing things for the Lord that we think should be done but giving ourselves fully to what he may be asking us to do. This message will encourage you to say yes to the Lord in whatever he is asking you to do.

In this message Philip Alley encourages us to shift our focus as a church to work on our values and not just towards other goals. By doing so, we make room for God to control the outcomes. Philip says that hospitality needs to be part of our lives but when you listen, you might be surprised to hear what christian hospitality looks like.

We're meant to relate to the Holy Spirit as we would a person. We all need to cultivate our relationship with the Holy Spirit and live in such a way as not to grieve Him. In this message John continues to open this subject that will continue to unfold over the coming weeks.

Jesus is moved by faith. Faith doesn't come just from what is said but by what is done - the action proves our belief in God. In seeking more of God, by responding to His promise with action, this is actually our faith. We can be sure, that if we're seeking him for more power, we will receive. The Holy Spirit isn't meant to be some kind of optional extra for your life but it's the intent of God that you would walk in power all your days. This message will help add to your hunger in seeking more of Him.

Throughout history, God has poured out unique gifts to His people, and in this message Philip highlights that in seeking more of the power of the spirit in our lives we can expect to receive unique gifts too. He shares the story of Kim Collingsworth, who prayed for the ability to play piano after hearing her Dad speak about Solomon's request for wisdom. Phillip encourages us to be specific, to ask but also to deal with the things that work against the Spirit in our lives.

Tongues is a magnificent gift of the Holy Spirit, its purpose is miraculous and practical for walking in the spirit.
