Show Notes
In this episode, I delve into the complex and often misunderstood topic of parental alienation. Parental alienation occurs when (typically) one parent, intentionally or unintentionally, influences a child to reject or distance themselves from the other parent, often as part of a high-conflict separation or divorce. This behavior is a form of psychological abuse that can leave lasting emotional scars on children and alienated parents alike.
I explore our definition of parental alienation, the signs of parental alienation, the long-term impact on children, and how manipulation tactics can distort a child’s perception of the alienated parent.
