Tonight, I’ll be winding up my summer series on Triangles of Death by taking us on an exploration of the Lake Michigan Triangle. This Triangle of Death isn’t as widely known on a global scale, like the Bermuda Triangle, but it’s history is just as full of the bizarre and the unexplained as any place on earth. In and around the Mojave desert, there have been reports of mysterious creatures, given different names like the Mojave Bigfoot, Sierra Highway Devil, and Marvin of the Mojave. Locals in the Antelope Valley area might recognize these terms as referring to a local cryptid known as the Yucca Man. This creature is believed to be a version of the legendary Bigfoot adapted to desert life. It's said to inhabit parts of Southern California, Nevada, and Arizona, with sightings dating back to the 1970s, particularly in the Antelope Valley area. The Yucca Man was first sighted on a night in 1971 at the Twentynine Palms Marine base. Different versions of the story exist, but generally, it's told that a marine guard who was on duty was found the next morning unconscious, with his rifle bent in half. According to the Marine, a large, hairy figure emerged from the darkness and approached him. The Marine tried to stop the figure by raising his rifle and giving orders, but the creature took the rifle and bent it in half. The Marine was then knocked out. The creature was described as having glowing red eyes and a foul smell. Both the FBI and CIA were involved in investigating the incident, but the details of their findings remain unclear. There were apparently at least two other sightings of similar figures on that same night. One report mentioned a 12-foot-tall figure accompanied by a smaller one. Other accounts came from people whose dogs were constantly barking at something in the area. Just who, or what is the Yucca Man? Is he a Sasquatch, or some version of him, like a cousin? In the early 2000’s the shadow of a man dressed in leathers, wearing a gas mask and soldier camo, haunted the forest of Maules, in Switzerland’s Canton of Fribourg. He would walk the same path and always linger just long enough for some passerby to catch a glimpse. They called him Le Loyon, “The Ghost Of Maules”. He was only seen in brief glimpses. Those who encountered him said that while he never showed any aggression towards them, they nevertheless were left with feelings of uneasiness. This Le Loyon was an Urban Legend that was spoken about only in hushed whispers. The citizens of Maules were frightened of him, though they couldn’t actually prove that he even existed. That all came to an end in 2013 when the only picture of Le Loyon was captured by an unknown photographer. Soon after that, Le Loyon disappeared completely. Some say that he committed suicide. Others say that he transitioned into something else, not of this plane. Just who, or what, was Le Loyon? What were the circumstances behind his appearances? What happened to him? It has been a while since I've recorded and uploaded a new episode of the ParaReality Podcast and I'm sure that many of you have been wondering what has been going on. Unfortunately for me, I was involved in an accident the week before Thanksgiving, which required me to be hospitalized for several days. I also had to undergo surgery and have my left patella reconstructed and some hardware placed in my knee. As a result of that, I've now got an old-school plaster cast on my left leg that goes from my upper thigh to my toes, and my left leg is completely straight. I am confined to a bed until Dec. 26, and whenever I do get up, I have to have assistance. I can only walk with the use of a walker, and can only go short distances. This means that I am unable to get into the Secret Bunker to record new episodes for the next several weeks. Therefore, I have no choice but to take a hiatus from the podcast for a while so I can concentrate on my recovery. I wish that I could have been able to update everyone sooner, however I just haven't felt like it, to be completely honest. For months now, Easy E and I have been keeping a secret from everyone. We finally have come to the time when we can no longer hide it. Back at the first of the year, Easy E told me that he was leaving Nashville and moving to Orlando, FL. He got a fantastic job opportunity, and couldn't let it pass him by. Needless to say, I was a little shocked, but not very surprised since his girlfriend lives there, and I knew it would only be a matter of time before he packed up and left. However, I wasn't prepared for him to leave so soon. We decided to keep things a secret because we didn't want the focus of the podcast to turn to him leaving, and us doing some sort of sad countdown to his final day. I know that it’s not “officially” summer yet, but it’s still time for my Summer Series to kick off. You know that every summer, I pick one topic and spread it out over three episodes in June, July and August. This year, I began to plan the Summer Series all the way back in February, so I’ve been itching to get it to you, and tonight’s the night! My home state is Alabama. I grew up there and lived there until the end of 2002, when I moved here to Nashville. Like most southern states, Alabama has no shortage of tales of ghosts and hauntings, thanks to its long history of slavery and Civil War battles that were fought in the state. Just a little past 10 AM on Monday, March 27, 2023, Audrey Hale, a 28-year-old woman shot out the glass on a locked side door of Covenant School in the Green Hills area of Nashville, TN. Armed with 3 firearms, she entered the school and killed 6 people, including 3 children, all aged 9, before being shot dead by officers of the Nashville Police Department. This incident marks the 376th mass shooting at a US school since the notorious Columbine massacre of 1999, according to a Washington Post database. I’ve looked at the database and so far, 199 people, most of them school children have lost their lives. And it looks as if there’s no end to this in the foreseeable future. In fact, many “Red States,” such as my home state of TN, are actively loosening gun laws instead of making them tighter. Right here in TN, there are currently more bills on the floor about guns than there is anything else. Lisa Marie Presley’s life, like her famous father’s was short-lived and tragic. The similarities are astounding, too. Both died very young. Elvis was only 42, and Lisa Marie only 54. Both were musicians. Both were addicted to drugs. Both were found dead in their homes, and had been dead for quite some time prior to being found. With all the speculation and conspiracy theories that are floating around out there about the Chinese spy balloon, I thought that it would be appropriate for me to devote this episode of ParaReality to looking at some of the more popular theories, and give you my opinion of what’s really going on here. UFO fever has gripped the US again after four incursions, including the Chinese spy balloon, were shot down this month. President Biden and other top Washington officials have said little about the repeated shoot-downs, which began with the suspected spy balloon. David Paulides is a former police officer who is now an investigator and writer known primarily for the Missing 411 conspiracy theory. Missing 411 is a series of books and films, which document cases of people who have gone missing in national parks and elsewhere, and maintain that these cases are unusual and mysterious. There are so many UAP stories going around these days that it’s hard to differentiate between what’s real and a hoax. Cryptozoology, or “cryptids” for short, has fascinated humankind for thousands of years, beginning as early as the 15th century BCE. While media has glamorized the field, drawing images of wild-eyed creature-hunters chasing anomalous beasts into the night, cryptozoology is really just the study of unknown, legendary, or extinct animals whose existence or survival is disputed or unsubstantiated.But reports of strange organisms don’t stop at the animal variety. In part one, I described "The Boys" to you and gave you a little bit of their backgrounds. I described their disappearance and where their bodies were discovered as well as their condition. In this part, I'll go over some of the evidence and discuss the one person who is my main suspect in the case. Just exactly how The Boys got to the Forest Ranger's trailer is a big mystery in itself. There was anywhere between 3 and 6 feet of snow the night they disappeared on that mountain. Also, they had to hike over 10 miles (some say up to 19) up the mountain, in the snow, at night, with no light source, in unfamiliar territory, wearing clothes that weren't suited for such a situation. How did they find the trailer? Did they know it would be there, or did they simply get lucky? Why didn't they eat all the food, start a fire or turn on the propane heater? Why did they leave one of them in the trailer to die alone? The main "witness", (and suspect", Joseph Schons claims that he saw them that night. He supposedly was on the very same road, just down from their car. He claims that his own car was stuck in the snow and he was also having a "heart attack," yet was able to get out of his car and call on them for help. They didn't answer, according to him. The rest of his story doesn't add up, either. Schons was a pathological liar and drug dealer. Perhaps he couldn't help himself but to tell a lie? Maybe he wanted his fifteen minutes of fame? Or, maybe he was in the middle of a drug deal and was trying to draw attention away from it. He's the only one that knows the truth. On a cold winter night in 1978, five men from Yuba County, California traveled to nearby Chico to see a UC Davis Aggies basketball game. None of them returned. What should have been a quick road tripturned into a mystery that has lasted for over 40 years. Their car was found abandoned 2.5 hours away in the opposite direction that would have taken them home. Their disappearance has baffled law enforcement for decades and the mystery has never been solved. ParaReality is back after a brief hiatus. I haven't just been sitting around doing nothing, however. I'll tell you what I've been up to in time. This conference was hosted by the guys at Paranormal Round Table, and as you can guess, centered mainly around the Dogman phenomenon, but had a couple of other cryptids thrown in there as well. I took my part-time cohost Eric along with me. He had never been to a conference like this, so I thought it was important for me to bring him along. Just before the COIVD-19 pandemic hit in early 2020, Eastern Colorado was center stage for a kind of whodunnit. Ranchers, farmers — and even a few deputy sheriffs — described mysterious drones flying in the night skies. There are consistencies among the eyewitness reports that suggest these drones possessed longer flight times than most off-the-shelf UAVs. The witness testimony appeared legitimate enough to local and state law enforcement, and the FAA, to take the sightings seriously. But as quickly as the drones came, they disappeared. In a statement, Colorado homeland security officials said they’ve received no new complaints. As a result no additional action has been taken. Even if this Colorado/Nebraska activity turns out to be some actor that's totally innocuous, and harmless, it still is troubling that the government can't find out who it is or says they haven’t been able to find out. Activity of that scale going on for at least three weeks, that is of concern. The other day I was looking through my collection of Zecharia Sitchin books and that got me to thinking about the Sumerian Flood Myth and how it predates the Biblical Deluge tale by around a thousand years. As I was thinking about this, I slowly began to realize that there are more than just those two tales of a great deluge – there are, in fact, several. The Biblical Deluge tale is no-doubt the best known of them, but did you know that all other tales of a great deluge predate the Bible? Not only that, but there are many other religious tales of some kind of great cataclysm that nearly destroys mankind! The Christian tale of the Great Deluge is just one of them.
