This past May, I found myself nestled in the heart of the Smoky Mountains — a land thick with folklore, ancient spirits, and more than a few eyewitness accounts of the unexplained. I was at the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Festival in beautiful Townsend, Tennessee, and let me tell you — this wasn’t just a celebration of Sasquatch. This was a gathering of the weird, the wild, and the wonderfully haunted.
I wasn’t just there as a fan. I went to collect the voices of the people who’ve seen things — things they can’t always explain, things they’ve never forgotten. I set up a small booth, a humble little station tucked between a moonshine distillery tent and a guy selling hand-carved Bigfoot statues. I asked one simple question to everyone who walked by:
“Have you ever experienced something... paranormal?”
And man... they delivered.
