Falling into the pattern of losing weight and gaining back for many years, she always felt deep down that something “bigger” was going on. Tired of being made to feel like she wasn’t trying hard enough or doing the right things from her doctors trainers, she refused to give up hope that she would find someone to listen to her. After being introduced to a friend through networking, she decided to try yet another consultation, this time through Novis Health in Knoxville Tennessee. Finally getting answers she had been longing for, it was discovered that she had severe gut issues including e.Coli, a parasite she picked up at 7 years old, and a host of other bacterial problems. Fast forward 6 months later, (fastest they've ever seen!) and Erin has kicked Polly the 32 year old Parasite out for good! Ironically, Erin 'fell' into food safety and has dedicated herself to helping businesses and communities protect their food supply chain for over 15 years. A Ohioan by birth and Knoxvillian at heart, Vallie is a mother, wife, and proud owner of 3-4 cats here in Knoxville. Vallie attended the University of Tennessee and then Arizona State University, where she earned her Bachelors degrees in Anthropology/Archaeology and Religious Studies. An also earned her Tea Room Owner Certificate from IAP Career College. Since she took her first job in the mid-90s, Vallie has filled a variety of professional roles, including: various food service positions, store management for Game Stop for 13 years, restaurant consultant and trainer, restaurant owner, field/lab tech for UT Archaeological Studies Group, freelance book editor, and more. She also enjoys an array of hobbies, such as reading (her personal library contains over 7000 books), occasional modeling gigs, appearing on gaming and fandom podcasts ("Called Shot Podcast" and "The Good, the bad, and the Nerdy"). EVictoria Flowers is a faith first, one foot forward, wise OWL whoo found her fresh start after death and divorce right here in Knoxville, Tennessee! At the age of 49, Victoria took to the skies (literally) becoming a flight attendant, and (figuratively) as she stepped on stage and let her voice SOAR! Born in Washington D.C. and raised in Charolette North Carolina, Victoria attended college at Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, NC where she studied Business/Finance and Music. A heart for music and a mind for business, Victoria's dream of being a back-up singer took a backseat for 32 years to build her career in the Mortgage Business. In 2006 Victoria opened up her own Mortgage Broker office in D.C., employing 8 Loan Officers and 1 Processor. In 2019, everything in Victoria's life change when her father died. Victoria's dad had OWL-ways encouraged her to step outside the box and explore life, sparking her almost overnight decision to become a flight attendant and relocated her business (and life) to Knoxville, Tennessee. EAfter receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business from San Diego Christian College, Erin prepared to follow in her family's footsteps and become a naval officer. Less than a month in, she took a leave to spend time with her boyfriend, a decision that would lead her down a path of derealization, psychosis, and hospitalization. Through the love and support of her family, and Erin's sheer determination to find success through 'failure,' she went back to school to earn her Master’s in Project Management from Grantham University. It was her that Erin began writing her first book, From Failure to Success: How Psychosis Made Me and Did Not Break Me, to aid in her recovery from mental and physical struggles, AND to help others who have fought the same battles. Her book has already inspired me to share my own experience with psychosis for the first time in public. The universe (God) really brought this episode together.
