There is an extremely high chance that Dillon Gabriel is not the answer for the Cleveland Browns and that's not a problem. The problem is those grading his play and trashing him believing that they were was ever a chance he would be "the guy." The Browns quarterback of the future isn't even in Berea yet, and let's start praying for whoever that young man is because most of the fanbase does not know what good quarterback play looks like and will turn on said kid the first chance they get. The Cleveland Browns pulled off a trade for the second straight day, sending Greg Newsome and his expiring contract to the Jacksonville Jaguars ofr cornerback Tyson Campbell. In a surprise move the Cleveland Browns trade Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns give up Flacco, and a 2026 sixth round pick for a 2026 fifth round pick from the Bengals. Once Cleveland started either of the two rookies the feeling was obvious Flacco wouldn't return to the starting position. Cleveland was hoping Flacco still had some of his 2023 magic in him but that simply was not the case, Cleveland gave the rookies time to get acclimated and once they felt Gabriel was ready they gave him his shot.
