On today's episode we're joined by Kyla Raby.

Kyla Raby is an antislavery practitioner, researcher, and educator. She has worked to support survivors of modern slavery in the United Kingdom and Australia.

Kyla has recently founded Everyday Slavery, a social media project funded by the Australian Government which aims to enable the public to play a greater role in preventing and addressing modern slavery in global supply chains and the Australian community.

To-date, Kyla’s professional career has seen her live and work in over 20 countries. Kyla is an aid worker with the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and has been deployed to support migration crises in Greece and Bangladesh.

She has led an earthquake recovery program in Nepal and community development projects in Kenya and Cambodia.

Kyla is undertaking a PhD at the University of South Australia, exploring the role of consumers in modern slavery laws. Kyla has taught as a sessional academic for several Australian universities.
