「え、何ででうか？」
「バイトのまま、ババアになってもう嫁の貰い手もないでしょう。あんたみたいなの処女でも中古ですよ。薄汚い。縄文時代だったら、子供も産めない年増の女が結婚もせずムラをうろうろしてるようなのですよ。ムラのお荷物でしかない。俺は男だからまだ残り返せるけれど、古倉さんはもうどうしようもないじゃないですか」
さっきまで文句をつけられて腹を立てていたのに、自分を苦しめているのと同じ価値観の理屈で私に文句をタレの流す白羽さんは支離滅裂だと思ったがと思ったが、自分の人生を強姦されていると思っている人は、他人の人生をおの味ように攻撃すると、少しな気が晴れるのかもしれないかった。
白羽さんは自分が飲んでいるのがジャスミンティーだというのに気が付いたのか、「僕、コーヒーが飲みたいんですけど」と不満そうな声あげ、私は立ち上がって（９４）ドリンクバーでコーヒーを淹れ、白羽さんの前に置いた。

"Why is Furukura-san so complacent like that? Aren't you embarrassed?"
え、何ででうか？」
"Huh, why do you say that?"

"You've been working part-time all this time, and now you're an old woman with no chance of finding a husband. Someone like you, even if you're a virgin, is still used. Disgusting. In the Jomon period, women who couldn't have children and had become old wandered without getting married. They were just a burden to the community. I'm a man, so I still have some value left, but Furukura-san, there's nothing you can do anymore…”

Until a moment ago, I was angry because of complaints, but I thought Shiraha-san, who was blaming me using the same values that tormented me, was incoherent. However, I couldn't help but wonder if people who feel their own lives have been violated might find some relief in attacking others' lives as a form of catharsis.

Shiraha-san seemed to realize that he was drinking jasmine tea, and he voiced his dissatisfaction, saying, "I want coffee."
I stood up, brewed coffee at the drink bar, and then placed it in front of Shiraha-san.
