青豆はストッキングだけの素足で、狭い非常階段を降りた。むき出しの階段をかぜが音をたてて吹き抜けていった。タイトなミニスカートっだったが、それでも時代下から吹き込む強い風にあおられてヨットの帆おようにふくらみ、身体が持ち上げられて不安定になった。彼女は手すりがわりのパイプを素手でしっかりと握り、後ろ向きになって一段下に向かった。ときどき立ち止まって顔にかかった前髪を払い、たすきがけにしたショルダーバッグの位置を調整した。
眼下には国道二四六番線が走っていた。エンジン音やクラクション、車の防犯アラームの悲鳴、右翼の街宣車が流す古い軍歌、スレッジハンマーがどこかでコンクリートを砕いている音、その他ありとあらゆる騒音が、彼女を取り囲んでいた。騒音は周り三六の〇度、上から下から、全ての方向から伸し寄せてきて、風に乗って舞った。それを聞いてりると（とくに聞きたくもたいが、耳を夫妻でいる余裕もない）、だんだん船酔いに似た気分の悪さを感じるようになった。
階段をしばらく降りたところで、高速道路の中央に向けて戻っていく半らな通路があった。（５７）それからまたまっすぐ下に向かって降りていく。

Some facts that were changed
青豆はストッキングだけの素足で、狭い非常階段を降りた。
Aomame descended the narrow emergency staircase in her bare feet, wearing only stockings.
むき出しの階段をかぜが音をたてて吹き抜けていった。
The wind blew through the exposed stairs, making a noise.
タイトなミニスカートっだったが、それでも時代下から吹き込む強い風にあおられてヨットの帆おようにふくらみ、身体が持ち上げられて不安定になった。
She was wearing a tight miniskirt, but it ballooned like a yacht's sail in the strong wind blowing up from below, lifting her body and making her unstable.
彼女は手すりがわりのパイプを素手でしっかりと握り、後ろ向きになって一段下に向かった。
She firmly gripped the pipe serving as a handrail with her bare hands and turned around to go down a step.
ときどき立ち止まって顔にかかった前髪を払い、たすきがけにしたショルダーバッグの位置を調整した。
Occasionally, she stopped to brush her bangs from her face and adjust the position of her shoulder bag slung across her body.

Engine sounds, horns, the wails of car alarms, old military songs played by right-wing campaign vehicles, the noise of a sledgehammer breaking concrete somewhere, and all sorts of other noises surrounded her.
騒音は周り三六の〇度、上から下から、全ての方向から伸し寄せてきて、風に乗って舞った。
The noise stretched from all directions, 360 degrees, from above and below, carried and danced on the wind.
それを聞いてりると（とくに聞きたくもたいが、耳を夫妻でいる余裕もない）、だんだん船酔いに似た気分の悪さを感じるようになった。
Listening to it (not that she wanted to, but she couldn't afford to cover her ears), she gradually began to feel a sickness akin to seasickness.
階段をしばらく降りたところで、高速道路の中央に向けて戻っていく半らな通路があった。
After descending the stairs for a while, there was a curved passage leading back towards the center of the highway.
それからまたまっすぐ下に向かって降りていく。
Then, it goes straight down again.
