泉さんん古倉さんも、私を祝福して笑っていた。
私は、皆の脳が想像する普通の人間の形になっていく。皆の植福が不気味だったが、「ありがとうございます」とだけ口にした。
夕勤の女の子たちにも挨拶をして外に出た。外はまだ明るく、けれどコンビニは空からの光よりも強く光っていた。
店長で亡くなった自分がどうなるのか、私には想像もつかなかった。私は光る白い水槽のような店に一礼し、地下鉄の駅へと歩き始めた。
家に帰ると白羽さんが私を持ち構えていた。
いつもなら、明日の勤務に向けて、餌を食べて睡眠をとって、自分の肉体を解放されて、どうすればいいのかわからなくなっていた。
白羽さんは部屋で、意気揚々とネットで求人のチェックをしている。テーブルの上には履歴書が散らばっていた。
「年齢制限がある仕事がいいんですけどね、うまく探せば全然は言ってわけでもない！（１４４）僕はね、求人なんてみるの大嫌いだったんですけど、自分が働くわけじゃないって言うと面白くて仕方ないものなんですね！」
泉さんと古倉さんも、私を祝福して笑っていました。
Izumi-san and Furukura-san also smiled and congratulated me."
私は、皆の脳が想像する普通の人間の形になっていく。皆の祝福が不気味だったが、「ありがとうございます」とだけ口にした。
I was gradually taking on the appearance of the ordinary person that everyone's minds would imagine. Although their blessings felt eerie, I simply said, 'Thank you.'

I also said goodbye to the evening shift girls and stepped outside.
It was still bright outside, but the convenience store radiated more light than the sky.
店長で亡くなった自分がどうなるのか、私には想像もつかなかった。私は光る白い水槽のような店に一礼し、地下鉄の駅へと歩き始めた。
"I couldn't imagine what would become of me after I passed away as the store manager. I offered a bow to the bright, white store, which resembled a luminous fish tank, and began walking to the subway station."
家に帰ると白羽さんが私を持ち構えていました。
"When I returned home, Shiraha-san was waiting for me."

Usually, I would eat, get some sleep to prepare for the next day's work, and then feel at a loss, not knowing what to do with my physical self.
白羽さんは部屋で、意気揚々とネットで求人のチェックをしている。テーブルの上には履歴書が散らばっていました。
"Shiraha-san was energetically checking job listings on the internet in the room. Resumes were scattered across the table."
「年齢制限がある仕事がいいんですけどね、うまく探せば全然は言ってわけでもない！僕はね、求人なんてみるの大嫌いだったんですけど、自分が働くわけじゃないって言うと面白くて仕方ないものなんですね！」
"I prefer jobs with age restrictions, but if you search well, there are plenty of options without them! You know, I used to hate looking at job listings, but it's quite amusing when you're not the one who has to work!"
