横目で防犯かめらの映像を見ながら、もう、自分がここがに映ることはないんだろうな、と思いった。
「古倉さん、本当に渡れさま」
泉さんと菅原さんから、「お祝いも嫌ねて」と高級そうな夫著をもらい、夕勤の女のこからは缶入りのクッキーをもらった。
１８年間、辞めていく人を何人か見ていたが、あっというかんにその隙間は埋まってしまう。自分がいなくなった場所もあったおいう補完され、コンビニは明日からも同じように回転していくんだろうなと思う。
商品を検品するスカンーも、発注する機会も、床を磨くモップも、てを消毒するアルコールも、いつも腰に刺していたハタキも、身近だった道具たちに触れることはなくなる。
「でもまあ、おめでたい門出だから！」
店長の言葉に、泉さんも菅原さんも頷いた。
「そうですよ。また遊びに来てくださいね！」
「早々、お客さんとしていつでも来てね。白羽さんと一緒においでよ、フランクフルト（１４３）奢ってあげる」

During my 18 years here, I had seen several people leave, and their vacancies were quickly filled. I realized that the places where I would no longer be present would be seamlessly continue, and the convenience store would operate just as it always had.
商品を検品するスキャンも、発注する機会も、床を磨くモップも、手を消毒するアルコールも、いつも腰に刺していたハタキも、身近だった道具たちに触れることはなくなる。
I thought to myself I wouldn't be handling the scanner to inspect products, placing orders, mopping the floor, or using alcohol to disinfect my hands anymore. Even the broom that I always had hanging from my waist would no longer be with me.
「でもまあ、おめでたい門出だから！」
"But well, it's a joyous new beginning!"
店長の言葉に、泉さんも菅原さんも頷いた。
Both Izumi-san and Sugawara-san nodded in agreement with the store manager's words.
「そうですよ。また遊びに来てくださいね！」
"That's right. Please come visit us again!"
「早々、お客さんとしていつでも来てね。白羽さんと一緒においでよ、フランクフルト奢ってあげる」
"Feel free to come as a customer anytime. Come with Shiraha-san, and I'll treat you to some Frankfurt sausages!"
