白羽さんは薄く笑った。
「僕はずっと復讐したかったんだ。女というだけで寄生虫になることが許されている奴等に。僕自身が寄生むしになったるって、ずっと思っていたんですよ。僕は意他でも古倉さんに寄生し続けますよ」
私は白羽さんが何を言っているのかさっぱりわからないかった。
「白羽さん、それより餌を食べますか？そろそろ茹で終わっただと思いますが」
「ここで食べます、持って来てください」
白羽さんが言うので、私は茹でた野菜と白いご飯を皿に乗っけて風呂場に連んだ。
「そこ、閉めてください」
白羽さんが言うので風呂場のドアは閉め、私は久しぶりに一人でデーブルに座って食事を始めた。
自分が咀嚼する音がやけに大きく聞こえた。さっきまで、コンビニの「音」の中にいたからかもしれない。目を閉じて店を思い浮かべると、コンビニの音が鼓膜の（１２５）内側に蘇ってきた。
Breakdown of text:

"But you see, if I were driven out, everyone would judge you even more. So, you have no choice but to keep me."
白羽さんは薄く笑った。
Shiraha-san smiled faintly.
「僕はずっと復讐したかったんだ。女というだけで寄生虫になることが許されている奴等に。僕自身が寄生むしになったるって、ずっと思っていたんですよ。僕は意他でも古倉さんに寄生し続けますよ」
"I've always wanted revenge. Against those people who become parasites just because they're women. I've always thought that I would become a parasite myself. I will continue to parasitize on Fukura-san in any way I can."
私は白羽さんが何を言っているのかさっぱりわからないかった。
I had no idea what Shiraha-san was talking about.
「白羽さん、それより餌を食べますか？そろそろ茹で終わっただと思いますが」
"Shiraha-san, would you like to eat now? I think the vegetables are done boiling."
「ここで食べます、持って来てください」
"I'll eat here. Please bring it to me."
白羽さんが言うので、私は茹でた野菜と白いご飯を皿に乗っけて風呂場に連れていった。
As Shiraha-san requested, I placed the boiled vegetables and white rice on a plate and brought them to the bathroom.
「そこ、閉めてください」
"Close the door there," Shiraha-san said.
自分が咀嚼する音がやけに大きく聞こえた。さっきまで、コンビニの「音」の中にいたからかもしれない。目を閉じて店を思い浮かべると、コンビニの音が鼓膜の（１２５）内側に蘇ってきた。
The sound of my own chewing seemed unusually loud. Maybe it was because I had been immersed in the "sound" of the convenience store until just now. When I closed my eyes and tried to picture the store, the sounds of the convenience store seemed to resurface inside my eardrums.
