何で私が、と首をかしげた。
「きっと奴らは、僕をひき摺り出して叱ろうとする。けれど僕は絶対に行かない。
ここに隠れ続ける。そうしたら、次に叱れるのは、古倉さんあんたですよ」
「私？」
「何で無職の男を部屋に住まわせているんだ、共働きでもいいがなんでアルバイトなんだ。結婚しないのんか、子供に作れないのか、ちゃんと仕事しろ、大人としての役割を果たせ。。。みんながあなたに干渉しますよ」
「今まで、お店の人にそんなこと言われたことないですよ」
「それはね、あんたがおかしすぎたからですよ。36歳の独身のコンビニアルバイト店員、しかもたぶん処女、毎日やけにはり切って声を振り上げて、健康そうなのに就職しようとしている様子もない。あんたが異物で、気持ちが悪すぎたから、誰も言わない買っただけだ。陰では言われてたんですよ。それが、これからは直接言われるだけ」
「え。。。』
「普通の人間っていうのはね、普通じゃない人間を裁判するのが趣味なんですよ。
「え？」
"Huh?"

I tilted my head and wondered why.
「きっと奴らは、僕をひき摺り出して叱ろうとする。けれど僕は絶対に行かない。
"They'll probably try to drag me out and scold me. But I absolutely won't go. I'll continue hiding here. Then the one who'll be scolded next will be you, Fukura-san."
「私？」
"Me?"
「何で無職の男を部屋に住まわせているんだ、共働きでもいいがなんでアルバイトなんだ。結婚しないのんか、子供に作れないのか、ちゃんと仕事しろ、大人としての役割を果たせ。。。みんながあなたに干渉しますよ」
"Why are you letting an unemployed man live in your apartment? Even if you both work, why does he have to do part-time jobs? Aren't you getting married? Can't you have children? Get a proper job and fulfill your role as an adult... Everyone will interfere with you."

"Until now, no one at the store has ever said such things to me."

"Well, you see, it's because you're just too strange. A 36-year-old single convenience store part-timer, and probably still a virgin, always enthusiastically raising your voice, and despite appearing healthy, you don't seem to be trying to find a proper job. You're like an anomaly, and it was just bought up that no one said anything. They were saying it behind your back. Now, they'll say it to your face."
「え。。。』
"Huh..."
「普通の人間っていうのはね、普通じゃない人間を裁判するのが趣味なんですよ。」
"You see, normal people, they enjoy judging those who are not normal."
