「ねえねえ、古倉さん、白羽さんと付き合ってるってほんとー？」
「いや、あの、泉さんからあげ棒が」
「ちょっとちょっと、何時の間にそう言うことになってたのー？！お似合いなんだけど！ねえ、どっちから告白したの？白羽さん？」
「古倉さん、照れちょって全然答えてくれないんだよな！今度飲み会やんない？白羽さんも連れてきてよー！」
「店長、泉さん、からあげ棒が！」
「誤魔化さないでさ、教えてよ。」
私は苛々として、「付き合ってるっていうか、今家にいるってだけですよ！店長、そんなことよりからあげ棒がまだ１本もできてないんです！」と叫んだ。
「え、同棲？」
泉さん叫び、店長が「マジでー？」と嬉しそうな声をあげる。私はもう何を言っても無駄だと、急いで冷凍庫からからあげ棒の在庫を取り出して、両手いっぱいに抱えてレジへと走った。
「ねえねえ、古倉さん、白羽さんと付き合ってるってほんとー？」
"Hey, hey, Fukura-san, are you really dating Shiraha-san?"
「いや、あの、泉さんからあげ棒が」
"Well, um, Izumi-san, the chicken skewers..."
「ちょっとちょっと、何時の間にそう言うことになってたのー？！お似合いなんだけど！ねえ、どっちから告白したの？白羽さん？」
"Wait, wait, when did this happen?! You two make a good couple! Hey, who confessed first, Shiraha-san?"
「古倉さん、照れちょって全然答えてくれないんだよな！今度飲み会やんない？白羽さんも連れてきてよー！」
"Fukura-san, you're blushing and not answering at all! How about having a drinking party next time? Bring Shiraha-san too!"
「店長、泉さん、からあげ棒が！」
"Manager, Izumi-san, the chicken skewers!"
「誤魔化さないでさ、教えてよ。」
"Don't beat around the bush, tell us."
私は苛々として、「付き合ってるっていうか、今家にいるってだけですよ！店長、そんなことよりからあげ棒がまだ１本もできてないんです！」と叫んだ。
I exclaimed impatiently, "It's not like we're dating, we're just at my house right now! Manager, the chicken skewers are more important; we haven't made a single one yet!"
「え、同棲？」
"Huh, cohabiting?"
泉さん叫び、店長が「マジでー？」と嬉しそうな声をあげる。私はもう何を言っても無駄だと、急いで冷凍庫からからあげ棒の在庫を取り出して、両手いっぱいに抱えてレジへと走った。
Izumi-san exclaimed, and the manager gleefully exclaimed, "Seriously?" I realized it was pointless to say anything more, so I quickly grabbed the inventory of chicken skewers from the freezer, held them in both hands, and rushed to the register.
