「取引といっても、報酬は必要ありませんよ。あなたは僕をここに置いて、食事さえ出してくれればそれでいい」
「はあ。。。まあ、白羽さんに収入がない限り、請求してもしょうがありませんよね。私も貧乏なので現金は無理ですが、餌を与えるんで、それを食べてもらえれば」
「餌」
「あ、ごめんんさい。家に動物がいるのって初めてなので、ペットのような気がして」
白羽さんは私の言い回したに不機嫌そうにしつつも、「まあ、それでいいでしょう」と満足げに言い放った。
「ところで、僕は朝から何も食べていないんですが」
「ああ、はい、冷蔵庫にご飯と、冷蔵庫に茹でた食材があるので、適当に食べてください」

Shiraha-san seemed confident. Although it felt a bit sketchy when I proposed it to him, I thought about the reactions of my sister, whom I had never seen, and the expressions of Miho and others when I mentioned I hadn't experienced love. Trying it out didn't seem like such a bad idea after all.
「取引といっても、報酬は必要ありませんよ。あなたは僕をここに置いて、食事さえ出してくれればそれでいい」
"Even if we call it a deal, you don't need to provide any compensation. You just have to keep me here and provide meals."
「はあ。。。まあ、白羽さんに収入がない限り、請求してもしょうがありませんよね。私も貧乏なので現金は無理ですが、餌を与えるんで、それを食べてもらえれば」
"Well... I mean, there's no point in demanding payment from Shiraha-san if he has no income, right? I'm not rich either, so I can't provide cash, but I can give you food to eat."

"Oh, I'm sorry. It's my first time having an animal at home, so it feels like having a pet."
白羽さんは私の言い回したに不機嫌そうにしつつも、「まあ、それでいいでしょう」と満足げに言い放った。
Shiraha-san seemed displeased with the way I phrased it, but he said with satisfaction, "Well, that'll do."
「ところで、僕は朝から何も食べていないんですが」
"By the way, I haven't eaten anything since this morning."
「ああ、はい、冷蔵庫にご飯と、冷蔵庫に茹でた食材があるので、適当に食べてください」
"Oh, yes. There's rice and some boiled ingredients in the fridge, so please help yourself."
