「布団もあるので、行き場所がないなら白羽さんを泊まることは一応、できます狭いですね。」
「泊まる。。。」
そわそわとしだした白羽さんは、「いや、でも僕は、けっこう潔癖病なのできちんと準備しないとちょっと。。。」と小さな声で言った。
「潔癖病なら、布団はつらいかもしれませんね。しばらく使ってないし、干していないし。この部屋、古いのでゴキブリもけっこう出るんです」
「いや、それはあの、ルームシャアの部屋も別に綺麗じゃな買ったしどうでもいいんですけど、ほら、あれでしょ、既成事実みたいなのを作られるのはね、ねえ、男としては警戒しないといけないんで。。。いきなり妹さんに電話するなんて、古倉さん、かなり必死じゃにですか？」
「何かいけなかったですか？ちょっと反応が見て見たくて電話したんですけど？」
「いや、そういうのってけっこう怖いですね。ネットでそういう話よく読んでたけど、本当にいるんだなあ、そんなに必死に誘われても、引くっていうか。。。」
「はあ、行くところがなくて困っているならと思ったんですが、迷惑なんだったら、洗濯機もまだ回してないし、洋服お返しするんで帰って大丈夫ですよ」
「布団もあるので、行き場所がないなら白羽さんを泊まることは一応、できます狭いですね。」
"We have futons, so if you have nowhere else to go, Shiraha-san, you can stay over. It's a bit cramped, though."
「泊まる。。。」
"Stay over...?"
そわそわとしだした白羽さんは、「いや、でも僕は、けっこう潔癖病なのできちんと準備しないとちょっと。。。」と小さな声で言った。
Shiraha-san, who had become fidgety, said in a quiet voice, "Well, you see, I'm quite a clean freak, so I need to prepare properly, or it might be a bit..."
「潔癖病なら、布団はつらいかもしれませんね。しばらく使ってないし、干していないし。この部屋、古いのでゴキブリもけっこう出るんです」
"If you're a clean freak, the futon might be tough to handle. It hasn't been used or aired out for a while. This room is old, so cockroaches tend to come out quite a bit."

"No, it's not about that. I mean, the room for room-sharing isn't particularly clean either, so I don't really care about that. But, you know, it's like creating a fait accompli, and, well, as a man, you have to be cautious about that... Calling your younger sister out of the blue, is that how desperate you are, Fukukura-san?"
「何かいけなかったですか？ちょっと反応が見て見たくて電話したんですけど？」
"Was there something wrong with it? I just wanted to see your reaction, so I called. Was that a problem?"
「いや、そういうのってけっこう怖いですね。ネットでそういう話よく読んでたけど、本当にいるんだなあ、そんなに必死に誘われても、引くっていうか。。。」
"No, things like that can be quite scary. I've read stories like that on the internet, but to think they actually happen... Even if someone is that desperate to invite you, it makes you want to hesitate..."
「はあ、行くところがなくて困っているならと思ったんですが、迷惑なんだったら、洗濯機もまだ回してないし、洋服お返しするんで帰って大丈夫ですよ」
"Sigh, I thought if you had nowhere else to go and were in trouble, but if it's bothersome, I haven't even started the laundry, and I'll return your clothes, so you can go back. It's fine."
