After contracting meningitis at a young age which left Maite Facio Beanland deaf she has dedicated her life to enhancing services for the deaf in Gibraltar. She is an Ghita committee member and in this very personal chat she explains what life is like and how she encourages individuals to become sign language interpreters, aiming to bridge communication gaps.
