Bruce Cull is the Executive Director for the NFAA. Fresh off the Indoor Nationals and just a couple weeks till the Vegas Shoot. We do a deep dive into both. Right towards the ends Bruce drops a secret that if your planing on attend ing Vegas and haven't signed up yet you will need ti know.

Dylan Hurt is a present team member of the Oklahoma Storm JOAD team. She details a long journey she has been on since she first shot archery with the Trosper Archery group. She will be moving to Texas mid summer so she can attend Texas A&M this fall. If I try to explain her path to making their highly decorated Archery Team I will mess it up. So listen and learn from her. After she heads back to class Neil and Myself talk a little shop and some up coming archery for us. So tune in for a fun conversation.

These guys own and operate The Tru Hunting Experience - Deerman The 3d guys. This group has been around since the early 2000. Their way of scoring a 3D target and style of 3D shoot is not what the standard is. But they are trying to reset the standard and you can hear the passion and ownership in this conversation. They are proof that there are many ways to shoot and score 3D animals.

We talk with Isaiah Ryel fresh off his shooting at the 2025 Lancaster Classic Indoor tournament. Discussions start of with his rig setup and even his upcoming 3D season. This young man will be a Pro shooter in the future. Listen in and see what he is doing to pave his way to the Pro's Class.

Tim Yohman is out of Central Texas. His journey moving up to the Pro class is what many strive for. Tim explains his approach to learn from and his payback to local archery shop, this was a big stepping stone that allowed him recognition with a bow manufacturer and led to a sponsorship. We get the Oklahoma Bowhunter man himself just before opening morning of archery season. Kreg has a simple goal every year. He wants to introduce bowhunting to someone that has never done go to experience the hunt with a bow. Neil is made of great questions that allows us to understand Kreg's methods of hunting large plots of land and even his suburban hunting techniques. Dallas is Oklahoma's big game biologist for Oklahoma Department Wildlife Commission. Dallas explains what goes into decisions it takes to to maintain Oklahoma's deer heard. It's not just guess work picking the dates for the hunting seasons. I was very interested when he gets into how the deer population is counted for the upcoming season. He admits he has a really great job getting to see the how deer react, move, and grow with all the programs the ODWC has. We set down with Oklahoma's recent winner of our State 900 Championship, Kyle Anderson. We briefly roll through that and cover Kyle's Darton Archery bow setups. His plans for upcoming tournaments and any equipment changes he will need. Several other tidbits of information along with some tournament information. This was quick one since Kyle and Neil had to get ready for a Tuesday league night.

Everyone knows Neil is our new ASA State Rep for 2024. Before he gets to his 1 year anniversary he pulls together the ASA shooters and shows the ASA Federation office some staggering numbers with shooter count, range sign ups, and memberships. He goes on to let everyone know that this has been a team effort from all the host ranges, friends, family, and fellow shooters. He does take time to talk a little for next year and what it will look like. He brings up that this year isn't quite done, because they still have a directors meeting nationally and he is organizing a Oklahoma State wide meeting in September. The 2024 Paris Olympics are just a few day away from starting. We bring in our friend Tom Stevenson. Owner of ArcheryPath.com, Coach of Oklahoma Storm Joad team, active Male Recurve Olympic shooter, and winner of countless national awards. We were honored to have Rick Gilley on the show for a second time. Recently Rick traveled to the NFAA Midwest Trail Classic and finished top of the podium with first place. He made a last minute bow change and the confidence he took with him was huge. Followed up the next weekend with ASA Metropolis IL. Jayme is a member of USA Archery 3D Traditional Archery Team. She tells us all about making the team, her setup, future plans, new archery range they have, and her trip to Slovenia to represent Team USA (and Team Oklahoma). She tells us about the new range and some weekday league plays they will be offering.

Oklahoma's own North America Super Slam record holder Lincoln Tapp is the youngest ever to achieve this and he did it using a bow. We visit with Lincoln about his adventures chasing the super slam. He does give us his favorite arrow setup for all these hunts, the bow setup, and even some tips and tricks on finding how he looks for whitetails where others don't.

Bryn is Oklahoma's newest NFAA State Director. We took this time to understand more about the NFAA and our State. Bryn explains some of things he has to do when working with our local clubs/ranges along with the NFAA. We all feel the same, we want to grow archery and are fortunate to have some good people working for OK that can help get this done.

Aaron shoots in the ASA Semi Pro Class this year. Being on the factory Mathews Staff he goes over a wide variety of training tips and techniques he uses. Everything from judging yardages, mental game, and his practice routine. Then he drops a bomb shell on us and with his famous rock story. This one you will have to hear for your self.

Hot off his podium finish at the ASA London KY shoot in the Open Pro Unknown Class. You will learn that this is one Pro Shooter that wants for everyone to be the best they can. He hold nothing back when we ask him questions about his mental thoughts all weekend and right till the final shot of the day.

Jeremy give us his take on the Redding Shoot and the Western Trail Shoot. This was his first trip out to shoot those and we are privileged that he has agreed to come on and tell us about his trip. If you want to shot any type of a walk thru field range listen to this. He gives you so many gold nuggets on tuning, bow set up, practice and I ask him to dive in and tell us how he calculates up and down shots (called cutting). You will learn so much.

Oklahoman's has a new place to purchase outdoor gear. In this episode we are talking with the Archery Manager Kyle Mullins. The name of the shop is Martin's Outdoor and Tackle located in Owasso OK. Kyle isn't new to archery so we get some background on him and then we hit on what they will be doing at the new shop and even some growth plans. We had a good conversation and now we have one more location promoting outdoor activities.

Neil and Myself chat just between us about what is going on in the archery world. Seems like doing interviews is much easier than finding stuff to talk about, well enjoy.

Brad is the Western Region ASA Director and his wife Terra is the Texas ASA Director. They organize and host the largest ASA Am/Am in the area. We wanted to get you some specific information about this event. Have you been thinking about shooting one of the national tour events, but wasn't sure exactly what to expect. This will be the perfect event for you. It is ran just like a Pro/Am. There is a vendor village, food, practice range, team shoots, and so much more. No one can deny that Total Archery Challenges (TAC) events have become a destination spot for archery enthusiast. With the Oklahoma TAC event coming up this month we figured this would be a great time to learn what they are about. Learn the history of where TAC started, what you can expect at an event, vendors, and don't forget the targets.

3D season is in full force here in our state. More and more people are headed outdoors to shoot some foam. We wanted to highlight what the Oklahoma Triple Crown actually is, the shooting rules, location, and dates. You can hear the passion of why they do chose to put in the work to keep archery alive in our state. You may even hear of a new organized shooting group on the horizon. Gayle Steele is the co-owner of Arrowhead Archery in Del City OK along with her husband Jeff. This last weekend She attended the NFAA Indoor Nationals and for the 2nd year in a row set a new indoor record for her class. Talking about this and hew life adventures in archery. She has dedicated herself along with Jeff to this sport. We get not one but two surprise guest on the show.

Chris is a veteran Pro Shooter. So we dive in with his practice routine getting ready for the 3D season. He tells us a little why he chooses his set ups. Neil is excited to ask a fellow Hoyt shooter some questions on cams and bow choices. It was great visiting with Chris and understanding his point of view looking at archery and the direction it's going.

On this show Neil and talk about his recent trip to shoot the season opener on the national ASA tour. We bounce back to the OSAA State 5 spot this weekend and for some crazy reason Neil keeps wanting to talk 3D and outdoors. Our guest this week is Coach Johnny King of the Connors State College Archery Team. They are hosting a ASA qualifier this weekend. Johnny tells us about the coarse and what you can expect, location of the range, then we dive into scholarship programs they offer for instate and out of state kids. Thats not all Neil drops a BOMB and tells us something he has been working on with Johnny for a State level Shooter of the year program for these young shooters in programs like Connors State.

Archery is getting busy here in Oklahoma, we start off recapping the Vegas shoot, then our guest Tim Gregg and his son Easton joins us for some 3D discussions. This weekend is Oklahoma's 2nd ASA State qualifier, after a huge turnout in OKC for the opener. Next we go over gear with Eason and his Vegas game. Neil and Myself traveled and shot the Lancaster Shoot off in PA. We both had our wins and losses on this trip. Neil wants to go on the record saying he has officially recanted his stabilizer testimony. He said he admits total ignorance. We need more proof on this. It was an honor talking with Matt this week. Matt is the reigning champion of the 2023 Lancaster Archery Barebow class. If you have never watched any of the barebow shoot videos you need to stop and do this. This is one of the fasted growing classes in archery. Josh Jacobson has been hunting for a very long time. In the last few ears he has taken up tournament shooting. In this short time he has grown to become a force to recon with. Listen in while we get some really cool insights of his set up thoughts, what he shoots, and just all around archery talk.

We open the program talking with Andrea Waldridge. Her youth group has organized an indoor youth shooting tour. She will give you the details of that along with the fast approaching Frozen Okie Indoor shoot. Then comes the BIG news. We get to introduce the new ASA Oklahoma Director. It is our very own Neil Cooley. He lays out the steps that ASA has asked him to do. He is working on and with the Facebook pages, shoots, clubs, shooters, and even going to start something new in OK. Chisum Johnson is a member of the Oklahoma Blood Trackers Association. Its DEER SEASON and these guys will be handy ti have in your back pocket. Chisum tells us about the rules for using dogs and what the hunter needs to do when tracking. The OBTA just doesn't allow anyone to be a tracker. They have a certification process, witch is a safety net for them and the hunter. So much information here for the new hunter and old hunter.

Ty Dameron is first a hunter and we discuss some great hunts he has been doing. He is also known on the ASA 3D circuit and one great shot. Bringing home several big checks. His daily is running an archery shop called Ty Bows. Listen in while we ask questions.
