In episode 28 of Akhri Moujza Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan continues to explain “فَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ” and with the help of different variations highlights the natural sequence in the ayah. Usage of “عَلَيۡهِمۡ” indicates that the believers will fear but actual fear will be upon them. Ustadh explains what would be left out if it would have been said differently. “Absolute Negation” is explained by Ustadh and he highlights that the actual taste of the Quran is lost without knowledge of the Arabic language and again motivates us to learn the language of the Quran, and explains how Allah will make it easy for all of us. Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan begins by sharing an idoim specifically about poets and generally about the people who instigate other people’s emotions. Today the success of an entertainer is measured by the popularity they have on social media and the only thing they want is the praise of their audience. The next idiom is about spending with balance. Not to chain your hands to the neck so as to restrain them from basic necessities of life, whilst also not expanding them so much as to buy unnecessary things. Continuing on the subject of using “We” for Allah, in this episode of Akhri Moujza Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan highlights with different examples that whenever “We” is used it is immediately followed by a word that indicates the oneness of Allah SWT and based on that Ustadh encouraged us to learn a little bit of the language of the Quran. The next topic is sentence structure; how well a sentence is organized in the Quran and how precisely appropriate wording is used. Different levels of patience and their respective rewards are described in the light of various ayat of the Quran. The 1st idiom that Ustadh discusses ‘let my tongue un-tie’ is the dua of Prophet Moses (May Peace be on him). A dua to help us in times of nervousness. The 2nd idiom explained by Ustadh is about a superstition that was found in the people who performed Hajj before Islam. Allah highlights, by using this idiom, to do everything by the book. The next idiom is ‘throwing pebbles in the dark’. Ustadh explained how this was applicable in the past and how can we benefit from it today. Ustadh encourages us not to ask useless questions. The next topic Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan explains the different pronouns used for Allah in the Quran including “We”. Ustadh highlights it’s only used in 1st person and never in 2nd or 3rd person with reference to Allah so it is the royal “We” not the “we” used for plurals. Ustadh explains that using “We” in the Quran indicates the formality and using “I” indicates the informality. Furthermore, Ustadh explained, using different examples from the Quran, that the usage of “I” is associated with either extreme love or extreme anger from Allah. One of the examples is “The Last Supper” in Surah Al-Ma’idah Ayah 114 & 115. As Ustadh continues to explain the Arabic idioms, the next one is ‘‘bowing down the wings’’ and how it is used before and in the Quran. In 17:24 Allah uses this idiom as to lower your wings for your parents just like they provided protection for you when you were just a child and fulfilled your every need. Modification in the idiom is discussed. In 26:125 the Qur’an uses this idiom to address the Prophet ﷺ to lower his wings for the believers for their protection as well as a gesture of kindness. Another example of Iltifaat in the Quran explained by Ustadh Nouman is when Allah suddenly focused from the 3rd to 2nd person which indicates the sudden grip and anger of Allah towards the non-believers. He is the Creator and He can address His slaves in any way He wants but this doesn’t give us the right to be rude to someone. Ustadh advised us to be truthful in a respectful manner. The next subject is about giving charity. It’s easy to give it to a stranger than a relative which is contrary to what the Quran says. Allah advised us by using this 2nd to 3rd person Iltifaat to try and be with those who are far ahead of you by acting upon the commands of Allah. After finishing the introductory Section 1 on Surah Al-Fatihah, Section 2 of #AkhriMoujza has now began and Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan takes us back to how the Divine Speech course originated and shares with us stories of how people became Muslim after studying it. Ustadh explained how the proverb “Coolness of the Eyes” is used in Ancient Arabic and how the Quran uses this in 25:74. Ustadh suggests that the home should be a place for a relief for the eyes from the outside storm but the opposite is happening in our society. In 28:9 Quran uses this proverb when the wife of the Pharaoh asks him to spare the child. In Episode 24 of #AkhriMoujza, Ustadh Nouman introduces us to the new concept of Iltifaat in the Quran.; when a sudden shift happens without any pause or brake like shifting the between past, present and future, or shifting between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person, or shifting from singular to plural or vice versa. In the 1st example (52:18,19) Allah takes the reader to a journey through time and space. A sudden shift take place from 3rd person in the future to the 2nd person in present and again from present to the past that is in fact the actual present. The next comparison is being done between the micro view of Arabs vs the macro view of non-Arabs. Another remarkable example of precision used in Surah Ash-Shu’ara is being highlighted by Ustadh as the Quran skips the word “brother” while mentioning Prophet Shuaib PBUH when he was sent towards the People of Aiykah (A big Tree). Ustadh explained one of the miracles of the Quran is that it was originally a recital and there is no editorial process while speaking. A book can be edited but not the speech while it was coming out the mouth of the speaker. How Allah protected His Quran is truly a miraculous sign from Him. In Episode 21 of #AkhriMoujza, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan starts by explaining the two words used in the Quran for “Heart”. A normal heart is called a “Qalb” and a heart filled with emotions is called a “Fu’aad”. The Quran mentioned that certainly hearing, seeing and fu’aad will be questioned about. Ustadh explained how the heart of the mother of Prophet Moses (PBUH) was about to burst and Allah strengthened it. There’s a lesson for us that Allah also can and will give us the strength and ability to control our emotions. Furthermore, the ungratefulness of the Israelites is discussed, how Allah provided them with food, water and the shelter and still they wanted the life from the enslavement. In Episode 11 of #AkhriMoujza, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan starts with the question: “what would happen if Allah used من (anyone) instead of الَّذِينَ  (specifically those people)” at the end of Surah Al-Fatihah. Even though a specific pointer is used, somehow it doesn’t specify anyone by name, and the purpose of this is to raise a question in the reader’s mind and ponder upon their lives. Furthermore, Ustadh explains in detail the 7th Ayah of Surat Al-Fatihah; how الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ is passive and, by not mentioning the doer, it encompasses multiple possibilities.
