Good News! Jesus Is Our Advocate

In our journey of faith, doubts about our salvation can arise, often fueled by Satan's deceptive tactics. He can lead us to false conclusions based on our circumstances or convince us that our struggles with sin are unique to unbelievers. Regarding salvation and assurance, people fall into three categories: those who are secure but not sure, those who are "sure" but not secure, and those who are both sure and secure. To address these doubts and strengthen our assurance, we turn to 1 John 2:1-6, where we learn that we can be confident in our salvation because of who advocates for it—Jesus Christ the righteous one, who is our atoning sacrifice. Furthermore, our confidence is bolstered by who accomplished our salvation—Christ Himself—and by who completes it, as evidenced by our obedience to His commands. Through these truths, we can find reassurance in the unwavering security and certainty of our salvation in Christ.

Good News! Jesus Gives Amazing Grace

Today, we delve into the profound truth of our need for grace and the incredible revelation of grace through Jesus Christ, as outlined in John 1:1-5, 9-18. Beginning with the tragic fall of humanity in Genesis, where Adam and Eve's disobedience introduced sin and death into the world (Genesis 2:15-17; 3:4-6; Romans 5:12), we recognize the deep-rooted need for divine grace. Despite this, a glimmer of hope is found in God's promise of redemption (Genesis 3:15). This promise comes to fruition in the person of Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, who dwelt among us and revealed the fullness of God's grace and truth (John 1:1-5, 14). Jesus, the creator and sustainer of all life, brought light into the darkness and offered a way for humanity to be reconciled with God. As we explore these passages, let us embrace the super-abundant grace that flows from Christ, a grace that not only redeems but sustains and transforms us, leading us to eternal life (Romans 5:15-21).

Good News! Jesus Pursues Lost Sheep

In today's sermon, we will reflect on the profound parable of the lost sheep from Luke 15:1-7, where Jesus underscores the boundless grace and relentless pursuit of God for those who have strayed. We are reminded that there will always be sheep who wander away, as all humanity has been endowed with the knowledge of God yet often turns away (Romans 1:20-21). Despite this tendency to stray, we are blessed with a Good Shepherd who fervently pursues His lost sheep, demonstrating His unwavering commitment to seek and save the lost (Luke 15:4-5, Luke 19:10). Moreover, the joy in heaven over a repentant sinner is immense, surpassing the satisfaction in the righteousness of those who have not strayed, highlighting the extraordinary celebration that occurs when a lost soul is brought back to the fold (Luke 15:6-7). As we delve into this message, let us be inspired by the relentless love of our Shepherd and the rejoicing that follows every act of redemption.

The Man God Uses

In today's sermon, we will explore four unchanging characteristics of biblical manhood, drawing insights from scripture to define what it means to be a godly man in today's world. Firstly, godly men preside, exercising their God-given authority and leadership with kindness, humility, and benevolence, as seen in the creation narrative where Adam is given dominion over all creation (Genesis 2:7-9, 2:19-20). Secondly, godly men provide, fulfilling their divine mandate to cultivate and manage their environments in ways that glorify God and meet the needs of those around them (Genesis 2:15, 1 Timothy 5:8). Thirdly, godly men protect, safeguarding their families and communities from both physical and spiritual threats (Genesis 2:15, 1 Corinthians 16:13). Lastly, godly men pursue, prioritizing the Kingdom of God and His righteousness in all aspects of their lives (Matthew 6:33). Through these principles, we will uncover the timeless blueprint for biblical manhood that calls men to lead, provide, protect, and seek God above all else.

Good News! Stories Of Life Change. Jesus Provides.

In today's sermon, we will explore the powerful narrative of Jesus revealing Himself to His disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, as recorded in John 21:1-8. This passage beautifully illustrates the transformative impact of Christ's presence and guidance in our lives. As the disciples return to their familiar trade of fishing, their initial efforts yield nothing until Jesus, unrecognized at first, instructs them to cast their nets on the right side of the boat. Their obedience results in a miraculous catch, revealing profound spiritual truths about reliance on Jesus. We will examine how a life lived apart from Jesus is often marked by fruitless striving, how attentive obedience to His Word brings abundant blessings, and how recognizing and seeking His presence fills our lives with purpose and joy. Through this story, we are invited to reflect on our own lives: Are we experiencing empty nets? Have we submitted to His guidance? Are we eager for His presence? Let us delve into these questions and discover the fullness of life that Jesus offers.

Good News! Stories Of Life Change, Mark5:1-20

In today's sermon, we delve into the profound encounter between Jesus and a man possessed by demons, illustrating the tangible reality of spiritual warfare and the boundless compassion of Christ. Drawing from the poignant moment when Jesus read from the scroll of Isaiah in Nazareth, declaring the fulfillment of God's promise to liberate and heal, we see a powerful manifestation of this mission in the story from Mark 5:1-20. Here, Jesus meets a tormented soul, bound by unclean spirits, and with divine authority, He sets him free, demonstrating that His power over darkness is as relevant now as it was then. As we explore this passage, we will uncover the biblical truths about demonic presence, the subtle ways it can infiltrate our lives, and the ultimate victory and freedom found in Jesus Christ. Through this narrative, we are reminded of Jesus's unwavering mercy and the transformative impact of His love on those who are captive, offering hope and deliverance to all who believe.
