The WSJM Sports Player of the Week is Sophia Pierangeli of St. Joseph girls swimming. Sophia is a sophomore at St. Joe St. Joe won all four of their meets last week to improve to 7-0 on the season.Sophia won each event she competed in, during the dual meet with Portage Northern and Harper creek she won in medley relay, the 200 free relay, the 50 free, and the 100 back. In the double dual with South Haven and Unity Christian, Sophia won the medley relay, 400 free relay, the 50 free and 100 free. She had qualified for state in every event except one. She’s in band, plays three sports at St. Joe and carries a 4.0 GPA.
